Centrally located house in Skien

The house is centrally located in Skien, only 300 meters from the railway station/bus stop, which also has direct connection to both Torp and Gardermoen Airport. To Porsgrunn the estimated travelling time is 8 minutes by train. Bus M3 goes downtown to the main bus station, before it continues on to Herkules, Skien Fritidspark and Porsgrunn. The nearest convenience store, Kiwi, is 500 meters away, and downtown Skien about 1,5 kilometer away. In other words you can walk to everything. If you are travelling by car, you can park the vehichle for free on the premises. The 115 m2 (living space) house is built in the late 1920s by my great-grandfather & grandfather. The ground floor has a bedroom with a double bed, and a small bathroom with a shower right next to it. The toilet is literally one step away in the hallway. The living room is quite spacious with a 50-inch TV, Blu-ray player, and some Blu-ray videos for your pleasure. Between the bedroom and the living room is a well-stocked kitchen with stove, microwave and fridge. On the first floor is another bedroom with a double bed, and it is a sink in the room as well. The living room is divided into two parts. In the "TV-part" there is a IKEA-sofa which can be folded out to a double bed. In the "dining part" it is also a sofa which can be used as a single bed. It is as well another small room with one single bed. There is a another kitchen with stove and fridge between the master bedroom and living room. In the basement it is a somewhat bigger bathroom with another shower. If you need to wash your clothes, it is a washer in the basement. It is no dryer in the house, but you can dry your clothes in the garden weather permitting (or inside). The garden itself is quite big and has 5 apple trees. In season it is of course possible to pick some apples for personal consumption. Almost all the rooms in the house are decorated with pictures shot by myself all over the world. Wi-Fi is included. Non-smokers are preferred. If you want to smoke you can do that outside. Unfortunately, neither access to the building nor the flat's design is suited to visitors with physical disabilities. For your safety, there is a security camera on the property monitoring the driveway (and nothing else) Some possible excursions to do in this area: * Go with the ferry on the Telemark Canal, which dubs itself as one of the most beautiful waterways in the world. I would recommend a day trip to Lunde. The ferry leaves every morning from Skien from mid-May to mid-September. You can watch what the canal looks like on the Netflix show: "Slow TV: The Telemark Canal", released in August 2016. * Skien Fritidspark, which both have water- and zip-line park. * Brekkeparken - a park that double as museum. It has some interesting older buildings, which includes furniture and other things from the 18th and 19th century. * Playwright Henrik Ibsen was raised in Skien, and if you are into him, it is obligatory to visit the museum at Ibsen Venstøp. Skien also has some nice neighborhoods as Bakken and Snipetorp. * If you're into golf, it is a 18 hole par 72 course 7 km away @ Jønnevald. Grenland Golfklubb own the course. * It is a full size soccer field 150 meters away, which is empty almost all the time. Skagerak Arena, which is the home ground of Odd in the Norwegian Elite League (Tippeligaen), is only 1 kilometer away. * I for one, would in the summer get in the car (or bus) and drive to “summer cities” like Stavern, Langesund or Kragerø or visit the beach at Oddane Sand. All within 1 hour away. From Kragerø you can even jump on a ferry to the very nice island of Jomfruland. * If you have children, or are childish yourself, a one-hour drive to the water park in Bø Sommarland is normally a great excursions.

Central and quiet, near USN. Parking space + fast WIFI.

Right next to the city center, train and public transport hub, this basement apartment of about 40m2 is located in the quietest part of the city. Charging station for El-car 3 min walk from the property Free parking outside of the property, with your own P-card for guests. Private entrance, entrance hall, sleeping/living room with large windows, well-equipped kitchen with dining area and bathroom with shower/bathtub are exclusively reserved by guests. Unassuming backyard is shared with the other residents of the house. West facing garden with sun until late evening is also available.

Villa Norsjøvollen Panorama

Our residence at Ulefoss, is architecturally built to frame Telemark Canal's largest lake, Norsjø. The home is 100 m2 with 2 bedrooms, alcoves with 4 beds (playroom), kitchen, 2 living rooms, bathroom with steam shower and unashamed terrace. On the down side are docks, islets and the possibility of swimming, fishing and canoeing. Other; Sommarland in Bø (Norway's largest water park), Norsjø Golfpark and Gullbringbadet, are short away, and reasonable to use. Feel free to ask host if wish to borrow canoe, redn.vester etc.

Family Farm. Child friendly, green and beautiful.

Dear guest! This farm is a living and child friendly farm surrounded by green fields and forests located a short drive away from the biggest outdoor waterpark in Norway and the old channel of Telemark - which offers beautiful boat trips and the possibility to rent your own canoe. The perfect combination of relaxing farm life and nice day trips. We have a lot of summer toys for playing in the garden, like playhouse, springboard, tree top terrace, hammock and 100 feet long zipline.

Nice apartment at a nice price + free parking/wifi

Large (70m2), 2 bedroom appartment at reasonnable rate with free parking, TV channels and wireless wifi. Separate entrance, parking space and outside area with furnitures. First floor in two floor house and very quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to food store, shopping mall, recreation area and bus stop. We always do thorough cleaning before arrival of new guests and execute contactfree check-in and out by use of a key box. Welcome :)

Beautiful summer cottage

Greatly situated summer cottage right by the water. All modern facilities, and a 70m2 deck with sun all day. Accommodates 9 persons in 5 bedrooms. Exellent sandy beach only 100m away. Great discount and free boat rental, when booking full week. Boat needs to be booked separately. PS: Electric power is not included in rental price, and will be charged separatly according to actual use and cost.

Fantastic great home close to the sea, own jetty.

Great home with very pretty garden park/outdoor facility, with garden house. Lovely sea view and own jetty about 150 away. About 500m to a large beach. Late night sun (about 22 around St-Hans) Power for car charging is paid via vips (75,-/day) Very stylish decor with all amenities. Take your own linen and towels (duvet and pillow included) P.S. Also put on private sheets. Gas grill in Hagen.

Log cabin with swimming area, horses and great nature!

Charming cottage from ca. 1860. The cabin is located at Stall Gislesjø with possibilities for horseback riding for much of the year. There is great hiking terrain, canoe, fishing opportunities and about 100 meters to private swimming area/beach. By car; 20 min to Skien, Porsgrunn and Bamble, 50 min to Gautefall. 60 min. to Bø.
