Eliza and Kevin are the consummate hosts! The location, beauty and comfort of their home is remarkable. And the pool was just what my husband needed. We are in the middle of a move and the quiet beauty of their spot was healing. It was so wonderful that we are going back in 3 days!

This was a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed three nights and brought our doggo. The house was more spacious than the photos made it seem. Everything was clean except for some silverware- not a big deal. I particularly loved how quiet the place was, that there were lighting options and no fluorescent lights, and that they didn't use harsh smelling cleaning agents on the linens. ❤️ The yard from the deck was just the right size to help our travel weary doggo feel like she could stretch her legs. I enjoyed that I didn't have to drive to get things from town, and that despite the short walk up the hill, we were insulated from the loud city sounds at night. Our host communicated with us about everything at all of the right times, so I had zero stress about how to get there and get in. I already miss it!

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s place. It was serene, green and peaceful. It was a cosy log cabin with the feel of yesterday years with its vintage gadgets. We loved it and spend a relaxing weekend there. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a calming peaceful time on the banks of the Russian river. Jennifer is a great host.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Tiny but adorable with fireplace and views of the redwoods out every window. Lovely outdoor space with fire-table and hot tub and a fountain. We will come back to this little gem for sure.

We had the most magical stay at this off-the-grid gem tucked away in nature. The setting is serene, peaceful, and completely restorative like stepping into another world where time slows down in the best possible way. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see so much wildlife during our stay! The home itself is beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated everything felt high-end, comfortable, and luxurious without being fussy. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the whole space had a warm, welcoming energy. As parents, we especially appreciated how baby-safe it felt. Our little one had the best time safely crawling around and exploring. The collection of kids’ books and toys was such a sweet touch! One of our favorite memories was giving our baby a bath in the outdoor clawfoot tub while soaking in the stunning scenery. Truly unforgettable. Despite feeling totally immersed in nature, it’s just an 8 minute drive into Occidental a charming town.

We had a great time at the river cottage! The backyard and garden are amazing. The location is perfect for exploring the area. Adam is an excellent, responsive host and had really great recommendations for the area.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the lodge for our one year wedding anniversary. It is located on the same property as their vineyard which makes for a beautiful, serene view and setup. During our stay, we did a very personal wine tasting with David in the main house. It truly is a cool experience and unlike any other wine tasting I have done before, not to mention the wine was very good! The lodge itself is cozy and relaxing with a private back patio looking into the trees and nature. I wasn’t so sure about the outdoor shower at first but it was actually really nice! Water warmed up really fast and the view is amazing. The bed is located upstairs which was very comfortable and cozy with plenty of pillows and blankets. If you have trouble with mobility, the stairs leading to the bedroom are not easy to navigate and there are more stairs from the parking lot to the lodge with some uneven ground at times. If you are fine with stairs and some walking, it is well worth it!

Perfect house to celebrate a friend’s birthday. 8 of us were there for a night and we had a great time. Shauna was an excellent and responsive host. The house is beautiful, spacious, and well stocked. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fireplaces, grill, and kitchen. We cooked delicious meals and had a great time hanging out. Beds were comfortable. It’s the perfect house for 8 friends to enjoy and would be a great place for 1 or 2 families to enjoy together. Thank you Shauna!

Well located in Gualala - private but not creepy-isolated. Very clean and supplied with everything we needed. Great communication with host. So lovely to view the trees through all of the high windows. Recommend!

We love Barking Rocks Cottage! If you are looking for a private, peaceful, comfortable cozy little cottage hidden on the California cozy, this is the place. I just loved cooking in the well-stocked kitchen with ocean views and watching my kids fly kites in the front yard. Host Kelly always responds quickly and is so helpful and friendly. We’ll be back!

I didn’t stay there myself but my wife had a nice relaxing weekend away from screaming kids. We go to sea ranch for coastal trails and the rental is a nice resting place between outdoor activities.

The place is even more beautiful, private, quiet, and idyllic than it looks. And Marianna is incredible. She went above and beyond when we faced a challenge (non Airbnb-related) while staying here. We will definitely return. The wildlife at the river is beautiful and its own nature tv. You can’t see in the pic, but the fire pit, outdoor dining table, and hot tub face directly onto the river - stunning. And the cafe, beach, and grocery options are great. Bethann’s tiny home was a sweet and peaceful landing spot for a night after a long drive on my way further south. I love Sebastopol so it was lovely. Adorable ambience and the fruit/snacks were great. I thought the bathtub was bigger from what I could tell in the pictures, but that is the only thing. I would definitely be back and recommend to my friends.

I’ve done A LOT of traveling and have stayed in many Airbnbs, but Mama K’s is by far my most favorite! The house is lovely and has more than the amenities anyone would need and, I’ve never stayed in a more CLEAN Airbnb before— all the tiny details have not been overlooked! This was my second time enjoying the space & I did not want to leave. It’s one of the most beautiful, spotless (and I am very detail oriented!) and peaceful places I’ve spent time. The grounds are absolutely beyond beautiful— from the lush yard to the incredible access to the Russian River out the back door to the outdoor shower and private clawfoot tub, the hot tub on the deck to the whimsical gardens, use of river toys (canoes & kayaks) and more! I had tears in my eyes when it was time to leave! I cannot say enough about this truly one of a kind and magical place. Thank you Karen for the opportunity to enjoy a true slice of heaven!

What a great way to spend a quiet weekend! The house was immaculately decorated, with all the amenities and kitchen essential. Would love to come back in the summer as it’s just steps away from the river.

This cottage is a countryside delight, tucked away on a quiet lane but just a few miles away from stores, from the charms of downtown Sonoma, and from incredible food options and stunning nature hikes. One of the highlights of our whole trip was the opportunity that Philip provides guests to enjoy his creekside garden. With the soothing rhythms of the bubbling creek and the gorgeous views of the nearby vineyards and distant hills, the garden, located across the road from the cottage and adorned with a cozy gazebo, was an unbelievably serene and comforting space. Philip had also provided us with an incredibly helpful list of local recommendations, and had stocked the cottage with books featuring historical details and stunning photos of the Sonoma Valley. While his recommendations helped us make the most of our time outside of the cottage, his thoughtfulness and lovely place brought us just as much fulfillment while at the cottage. Thank you Philip, for a wonderful stay in Sonoma.

We had a lovely stay at Candida and Michael's guest house. The cottage is very lovingly cared for with beautiful touches (and artwork!); stocked well with everything you need, much like a fancy hotel, including high quality linens and an amazing shower. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Perfect location to walk everywhere in town with plenty of street parking. I wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful courtyard. Communication with Michael was easy and fast. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend without hesitation.

This is a charming, comfortable place with lots of personality. Pool and hot tub were wonderful, and Joseph and Fernanda were very friendly, and helped with local recommendations. Couldn't have been better.

This is our first stay in this house, but 2nd in one of Linda's properties. We had a great time here - The house is very private and comfortobly orgenized for guests. We loved sitting on the porch for breakfast and the bed matress was good for sleep. Linda is a great host - communicate fast and cheerful and helpful and always looking to make the guest experience even better. Thank you

Staying in Dome was truly a unique and memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt immersed in nature. The dome itself was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. It offered comfort without taking away from the natural vibe. The amenities provided were excellent—everything was clean, well-organized, and made the stay feel both special and convenient. Really close to Anchor Bay Beach. Overall, it was a fun and refreshing getaway, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, nature-filled retreat that’s a little out of the ordinary.

Fantastic getaway. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Great quaint getaway. Ton of care went into the design and maintenance of the house. If staying with more than 2 people, I will note that the loft sits on slats so the noise between the loft and bedroom is not dampened. Would stay again!

The Dome home and beautiful surroundings were magical, comfortable, tranquil. The home had just the right amount of amenities, not cluttered, sparse if anything, interesting and you can tell carefully chosen. I’m talking about things like books, games, blankets, bath towels, delightful decor. The simplicity made it all the more peaceful. Even w my 2 school-aged kids. There’s lots of open space inside and out, plenty of room. We didn’t even utilize the sweet upstairs space. When there was a minor plumbing issue, the owners and caretaker responded quickly and made it painless! Would definitely come back.
