Family-friendly holiday rentals in South Stormont

my second stay and it was great once again.

The house was very clean, the area is in a very pleasant country area, in the house there was everything you need for a comfortable rest. I would like to point out that we were very pleased with the hot tub during the winter.

Pierre’s home is lovely and well appointed. It was exactly as the photos depict. The home was spotless upon arrival and Pierre was easily reached to answer any questions. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. It was nice to be near nature but also near amenities and a short drive to downtown Ottawa.

Erin's place was wonderful for our family of 12! We agree with the other reviews - the photos don't do it justice. It was clean and well-equipped. The only negative was that we arrived on a very hot and humid day, so we definitely very hot, with no AC. We brought some fans and did purchase some larger fans. The kitchen was perfect - we made most of our meals. We did go out one night and the Gran View and really like that suggestion. The paddle boards/kayaks and floats were so nice to not have to rent. The river is super calm before and after storms or in the mornings. We rented a pontoon boat from Wellsey Island, and it was dropped off at a nearby marina. We docked the boat on one side or the other of the dock, depending on the current or rough waters. We loved the quiet road for walks, and only a 25 minute drive to A-bay. The grill worked well. All in all, it was a great place!

Emily’s house was a dream and is highly recommended. Our family of 5 (with 3 kids under 10) spent a week at Emily’s house while in Ottawa to help out a family member. We were so grateful for Emily’s hospitality. As we were there during yet another wave of the pandemic, coupled with virtual school, we were basically in lockdown at the house - it could have been a very unpleasant week. Instead, it was truly wonderful to have Emily’s beautiful home to feel grounded in. The house was clean, comfortable, exactly as represented in the pictures, and we were struck by the attention to detail. The communication with Emily was perfect. After a week in the house, we joked about staying a week longer! There is no doubt that we will return.

Highlights of the stay were a really great backyard with pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and place was very well equipped. Host was accommodating and responsive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Wakefield. Lucie and Claude are welcoming excellent hosts. They take great care of their B&B and of their guests! Great place to stay!

This place was great for our stay of just under 2 weeks. Easy to come and go, very quiet, has everything you need for a short or long vacation. Felt like we had our own little apartment. Josseline was great to deal with, always answering any questions we had and was very forward with any information that was necessary for us to have. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Ottawa/Nepean area and we would easily stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. Very quiet neighbourhood. Great location and the rental was spotless and had everything needed for a perfect stay. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We came to skate on the canal and the apartment couldn't have been closer to the canal. We loved the cozy vibe of the apartment, the natural light was incredible, and the neighborhood had lots of fun spots to explore. Would recommend this spot to anyone!

Came to Ottawa to skate the Rideau canal. Chris’ place was immaculate, quiet and an easy walk to both the canal and nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed at La Belle Denis cabin and it was literally as presented in the picture. The cabin is warm in winter with hot water ! Perfect for a weekend gateway. We love the quietness in winter and the trail on the property. We hope to comeback in Summer to check out the lake! Shu

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

Perfect winter escape. Nancy’s place is even better than the (already amazing) pictures. I highly recommend.

I had a lovely time, the apartment was cozy, the nearby dog park was great, and the hosts were great!

we were lucky to stay in cottage 9 on the May long weekend, when they reopen the resort, and I should say it couldn't be better. The host was such a nice and informative lady to go behind our expectations and make our stay even more memorable. we will definitely recommend the place. Thank you for everything :)

Anne’s place was a great spot to stay while we visited family in the area! It was private and quiet and the surroundings were so peaceful! We’ll definitely be back!

This was minutes from St Lawrence University and a beautiful setting. It was fun to have the chickens and goats around and Sue was very helpful recommending a hike for us and talking through restaurant options. The space was cozy and inviting. It was too chilly to take advantage of the deck this time, but hopefully on another visit.

lets start with our hosts anne and rick. Very friendly and helpful. Anne very quick to respond to any questions or needs. The property is very well maintained ,very quiet and peaceful. Lovely on-ground pool very clean and accessible. All units and entire property would be suitable for someone with mobility issues. We are in the south suite. Plenty of room for us and 2 dogs. Very clean and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Property is on a quiet road in a rural neighborhood surrounded by horse farms. Have had some lovely walks up the road with our dogs to say hello to the horses. Highly recommend ABBOTT ROAD SUITES. Lots to do in area and easy access to major roadways. Almost forgot great fire pit and really good BBQ available for use as well. Also found having small freezer as well as fridge was very helpful.Laundry room very handy with good washer and dryer. Really can't say anything negative about our stay here.

This was the cleanest place we’ve been in for sure. Right on the river, private, well laid out. I can see that in the summer it would be very beautiful with the garden beds and the nice lap pool. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

My family and I were amazed to see how beautiful the place is. Everything are cleaned and well maintain. Anne communicated with me consecutively to make sure that we got everything we needed. Whenever I am in the area, this will always be my first consideration and my wife is already started talking about going back there for our next vacation.
