Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Southern Province

This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

This was our favourite place in Sri Lanka. The accomodation is stunning - right on the lagoon so you will see birds and animals right from your balcony. Chamin was the perfect host, his wife cooked us incredible food - Sri Lankan breakfast and an incredible BBQ of lagoon fish - which was one of the best meals of our whole trip. We also went to Bundala park for a safari - Chamin was an incredible host and spotted every animal - we saw 15 elephants, crocodiles, pelicans, monkeys and hundreds of tropical birds. We will definitely be coming back!

This place was so beautiful! So many well kept plants and the pool area was so nice. The gentleman working there and the lady that cooked were so kind and sweet and always smiling and wanting to help. Food was delicious. very kind people, even offered us our room to rest in after a safari after our check out time, so nice! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again and again and again!

After having travelled for 10 days throughout Sri Lanka we enjoyed the peace and serenity at BoB so much! Thank you! Feona -the manager- is doing a grat job, and the team is lovely, too! The food is excellent, our kids enjoyed it even more as it is not so spicy. The 6 bed-villa was perfect for us, enough space for all 5 of us. The outdoor bathroom is awesome, we loved to have a shower early in the morning with all the birds singing. The kids spent many hours in the pool and often went to explore the garden and all the animals living there. We saw a turtle, land-monitors, peacocks, buffalos, monkeys, jungle fowl and many different kind of birds and insects. So our 5 day-stay was over far too quick...we would love to come back!

At first - super fast communication with host. It makes everything much easier! Thanks for that. Everything was good at the end, just a little minus - when we arrived at evening pool was dirty. Also on next morning there was varan (big lizard) swimming - but our kids will say that it’s a plus :)) After we asked about the pool it was immediately cleaned. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really great. We recommend this place! No worries about the pool we swim and everything was good :)) Beautiful view!

Part of the Grand Udawalawae Safari Resort and very nice place it is surrounded by mature forest. Quiet and away from the main road. Restaurant and bar on site. Swimming pool was nice. Great staff.

Dushan is an amazing host! Extremely helpful and friendly:) Nature cabanas is a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay! All staff is super friendly and food is fantastic :) also super friendly with our baby! We would recommend!!

Very nice room with high ceiling and big windows and a nice view of the river. The large bed is very comfy. Unfortunately no A/C, but well tolerable at night with ceiling fan. No cooking facilities, but cheap restaurants within walking distance. The family is very nice - and uncomplicated when changing the reservation.

Great place to chill. I enjoyed simply sitting and watch birds and grey monkeys, ants and butterflies. Sleeping experience was nice: at least you may wake up early with temples, forest and rice field around. Kitchen utensils were enough to cook myself and small groceries are in walking distance. Need something fancy? - you may transit by bus to supermarket and by PickMe back (difficult to catch PickMe in touristic area). I considered about motorbike, but around Xmas and NY there were a lot of police on every major road so I stayed pedestrian. Overall - nice stay

Beautifully designed place, great view, its the closest location to the entrance of Sinharaja Forest reserve. The guides were friendly and skillful in spotting creatures, the pool was a great solution for chilling after treks. The logistics of the area might cause delays in service, but Prasat and the friendly staff try full heartedly to compensate. Advise to travellers, u should put ur shoes inside ur rooms at night, as stray dogs might damage them. It's out of the control of staff. Also Dogs may cause baby monkeys to panic and fall off trees, so discouraging them from accompanying you into the forest is better.

Çend roja ciyê raketinê ne rehet bû lê me paşê fahm kir kû doşeka razanê ters danîye lê me paşê sererast kir:) Mala wî kîlometreyek nêzî behrê bû . Ji bo danûstendinê market nêzîk bû. Iresh always helped us. He suggested that we meet in different places. His family was a good family. We loved his mother very much. It was not comfortable for a few days when we got up, but we found out later that the mattress was opposite , but we fixed it later :)The location is in a nice place, about 1 kilometer away from the beach.There were small markets nearby to meet your needs.

This place is just a paradise. Super spacious, clean, quiet, beautiful view with sunset on the lagoon on top. I was suppose to stay for three days and finally booked for 2 weeks. The family is nice and Hasith very helpful and caring. He responded right away to bring me extra things that I needed. Super super kind. I very highly recommand. Also easy to take a bus 800m away to reach the ocean and more crowded places. There is a nice village nearby also.

Thank You Upul for hosting us. Thilak was gr8 from the time we checked in... the refreshing lemon mint cooler was out of this world.. Upul's pod is apt for someone who is looking for an early morning pre safari night rest place.. Absolutely no frills, AC, fresh water, beautiful views of the national park and amazing breakfast by Thilak... The best part is - it's 20mins away from the Yala National Park entrance... so few mins of sleep in the morning helps !

It was a really great place to stay. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay very much. The staff is also incredibly nice and helpful!Anytime again.

A hospitable host. I was always in touch and ready to help (he advised me what to see and where to go, as well as with the organization of transport). It was nice to communicate not only with him, but also with his family. Wonderful location, beautiful garden and only 2 separate double-decker cabins on each floor. Lovely place with everything you need, including good internet. This place is quiet, comfortable, and loved the availability of hammocks. It's nice to lie in hammocks and listen to the birds. It was unexpected to see harmless monkeys on the palm trees. Close (5 min by walking) is a clean and deserted beach. Delicious breakfasts. You can also order dinner. If we are in Koggala again, we will definitely stay in this place. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
