House holiday rentals in Stari Grad

Loved our stay at Mirjana’s place! Would recommend to anyone, it is amazing! Very clean and modern apartment. Located centrally in Hvar, only a short walk to the supermarket, all bars and restaurants and the ferry port. Mirjana was so accommodating to us and flexible with check in and check out with our ferry times which was super appreciated. Mirjana was so friendly and responsive to any messages we sent. We loved the pool and terrace area too. Beautiful. Defo stay here if you are coming to Hvar.

Villa Belpur is a lovely large, modern villa with a spectacular pool area that’s even better than the pictures. Set back from the road near Pitve, the location is beautiful. Communication with owner Tina at Tranquilladria was mostly excellent, including all sorts of very helpful local info, recommendations and bookings. We used the driver, Marko, for nights out in Hvar (book in advance) and Jelsa which worked really well, we also had a hire car which we’d recommend as there’s lots nearby but not easily walkable. We were disappointed to be told only on check-in by the local property manager that the hot tub was inoperative. That said, Tina subsequently offered compensation and even made efforts to arrange some time for us in a local spa which was very much appreciated, and overall we really enjoyed our time at Belpur and would recommend it for larger parties in particular.

Frano always responded very quickly to inquiries. On request for additional baby cribs and high chairs, it was immediately received and it had everything you could want on site. The hospitality of Frano and his family is excellent, we were provided with fruits and eggs from their property and Frano was always present and took care of the facility (pool etc.). We were picked up from the ferry and taken back to the port by private car on the day of departure. There is a lot of heart in the apartment but also in the care of their holiday guests. We felt comfortable from the first moment and can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation, as well as holidays at Frano's.

Filip was an amazing host, always helpful, friendly and made us feel right at home. We all loved the house and location, easy walk into Hvar and in the other direction to a wonderful beach. The house was comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was perfect. Highly recommended and thanks Filip!

I had a great stay at Tom’s villa! It’s in a beautiful setting with incredible views of the Adriatic and the mountains in the distance, with a sparkling pool and vineyards in between - stunning! Shops and restaurants nearby were open during the first few days of my stay but closed down in early October. Plenty of great restaurants in Jelsa though which was still walking distance from the villa (3km). Tom had wine, and other drinks in the fridge and snacks on the table prior to checking which was so appreciated and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking (spices, oils, etc). Don’t hesitate, if you’re looking for a great villa in a perfect setting, book Villa Tomic!

We had an amazing stay at this property. The hosts were really helpful and arranged a transfer from the airport and looked after our luggage whilst we had lunch in Trogir. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The welcome drinks and chocolate went down very well. The pool is a good size. With a gas bbq and large patio area. We had a few teething issues but the hosts were very helpful in resolving them. It is a ten minute walk to the harbour, lots of restaurants nearby and 4 beaches also within a 10 minute walk. There is a small supermarket 2 minutes away and another 5 minutes away. The only negative we have is the sun loungers on the photos are not the ones now by the pool. Which is a shame as they looked really comfortable. We would definitely stay at this property again as we all said it has been one of our best holidays.

This is by far the most beautiful, perfect Airbnb I have ever stayed at. It is truly a magical, hidden gem that is better than you can imagine and better than all the pictures combined. Everything was perfect and the little touches such as the huge fresh fruit platter and the wine and water made it even more special. Matea is the absolute sweetest host. The spa is spectacular. The house is immaculate. The views are beautiful with a sunset every evening. The location is the best. I love love love it in every single way. I’m coming back. Well worth the price.

The location was wonderful. I traveled with three teenagers who loved that they could walk to the town to go out at night and walk to the beach. The adults loved the pool and how close the beaches were. The only thing that wasn’t 100% great was the air conditioning. He needed another unit in the living room area of the upper apartment. We were there in July when temperatures were 90 degrees + and we couldn’t use the living room, too hot. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful place, beautiful view of the bay, very nice and communicative host. The water in the bay is very clean and clear, it's a good idea to bring a swimming mask, under the water surface you will encounter a lot of fish. A beach made of small pebbles is clean and well-maintained. The tap water is not drinkable (due to the salty taste), but hosts easily provide good water. We were with a small dog, which was no problem in the hosts building. However, you should know that there are signs at the entrance to the beach that prohibit dogs, but with reasonable care, no one pays attention to them, so it's not a problem either. Getting to the bay can be quite difficult for not very good drivers, the roads to Hvar are winding, sloping and often unsecured. However, it will be a great adventure for people who like to drive. In summary: I would definitely recommend this place and the host, choosing an apartment here you will get beautiful views, silence and unforgettable experience.

Really nice flat in a good location, Antonija is also an amazing host and was super helpful with whatever we needed. She also arranged transport for us and our luggage to and from the port which was great!

I highly recommend this place! The house is located on a hill, a little above the village, which allows for a spectacular view of Selca and the sea from the terrace. The home is only rented to guests in the summer, with the owners living here in the remaining months - you can immediately see and feel this homey vibe and character. Feel at home, the kitchen is as well-equipped. The layout of the house, spacious tears, and a large patio allow for 6 people to function comfortably. There is a vegetable garden, nicely maintained garden plants and flowers. An agency lists a home on Airbnb, but guests are greeted by homeowners, very welcoming and helpful. Many times during their stay, they accommodated us with their own products - vegetables, eggs from a nearby chicken coop, and delicious olive oil. The pool and hot tub are cleaned regularly. A home located in a quiet part of the island, which is a big advantage. There are lovely intimate, rocky beaches nearby (access by car, but no problem with parking). There is a large convenient food market in Selca.

I wanted to take time to think about how to review this little slice of heaven but nothing I say will do it justice. Kole and Irena’s cottage is a very special place and we feel lucky to have been able to stay there. If you are looking for somewhere to shut off from civilisation and power down, this is the place. Surrounded by nature, the only sounds you’ll hear are the wind in the trees, the water lapping at the rocks and the birds. The cottage is cosy and has everything you could need. We had a few days of cold weather but the wood burning stove kept it warm and the beds were very comfy. With the silence at night, this made for very restful nights sleep. What made our stay special, and unlike anywhere we have stayed before though, was Kole and Irena themselves. From the start when they met us with their boat, and a beautiful veggie box, it was clear that it was important to them that their guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay and we really appreciated their care and attention

We had a wonderful week at Lucija's place . Very beautiful location and lovely apartment with gorgeous large terrace overlooking outstanding views of the bay . Lucija is such a lovely host and we were warmly greeted on our arrival - we immediately felt very much at home . The apartment and terrace complete with sun loungers as well as comfy patio chairs & table for dining , has everything you need and very clean ,comfortable, peaceful and safe. There are many areas on the rocks across the road from where you can swim and the supermarket and lovely local bars and restaurants are conveniently just down the road as awell as Hvar town being just twenty minute coastal walk. We enjoyed visiting beautiful Pokonji Dol beach which is a picturesque twenty minute walk - 20 euros for beach loungers and 10 euros for umbrella . Nice beach restaurant too . We feel so grateful to have had such a pefect holiday staying in lucija's home and highly recommend .

Perfect for two adults and two teenagers who needed there own space. Air conditioning was essential as it was so hot, outdoor space great and shady too.

The house was fabulous and Mila and her son David were amazing hosts. They introduced us to local people to rent boats, suggested restaurants and excursions for a perfect holiday. We had 2 adults and 4 kids (8, 11, 12, 14) in our family group. We wanted somewhere off grid to relax but with good facilities. The house was perfect and the bay at the bottom of the hill fantastic for a quick swim each morning. The island itself was good for little walks and longer hikes. We rented a boat for the stay which was a good choice, allowing us to fully explore the islands and access all the hidden coves and busier bays. There is no air conditioning; but the regular gentle wind on the island provides a welcome breeze unlike most of the area. Overall, we were treated to an amazing holiday!

We had an amazing time @ Jacolien’s place. The location is perfect, the area calm and relaxing, the view is stunning and you also wake up with the cigales. I will definitely come back here for my next trip in Hvar. Highly recommend !

The place was completely remodeled and looked great. Modern and cozy at the same time.

From a very warm welcome to the very last minute Snejana and her husband made sure we have everything we need . The apartment is very well equipped and super clean. The garden is perfect to hang out and relax, with the open air shower being our daughters favorite place ;) The bay is just a little walk from the house, offering nice places on the rocks but also two small pepple beaches perfect for kids. We would definitely come back - for a family its just the perfect place to spend some relaxing days

We didnt want to leave!!! We are already recommending this lovely little find to friends and family and we will definitely be back. We booked last minute and Maja could not have been anymore accommodating and helpful. The villa was everything we could have wished for . Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was amazing only 5 minute walk to the harbour and restaurants and 15 minutes to the beach. We rented a boat for the day to explore the islands and rented bikes for a day and cycled over to Jesla which was a delight. Hvar town is only 30mins taxi ride away . We loved our stay at Sin’s house, it is nicely set apart from surrounding building and feels very private. Inside it’s spacious and well equipped. Rudina is perfectly situated just a few minutes away from Stari Grad which is a great, small town with places to eat and drink by the harbour. Sin is super friendly and responsive. A brilliant stay : )

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE - top Airbnb in Hvar (or possibly the whole world) Best view on the entire island. Absolutely amazing hosts and amazing accommodations, super clean and quaint place. renting scooters to get around was a game changer, bring snacks for the kitties :) taxi recommendation from host was easy to call up to get for nights out. you’re the only residents on the hill so enjoyed the privacy yet easily accessibility to Hvar and Milna via 5-10min scooter ride. Literally cannot say more about how awesome this place / experience was!!!! Wish we could include pictures of the view from the living room because it was breathe-taking. Would ONLY stay here when we return :) a few steps to climb and probably not recommended for older folks who can’t haul luggage up but totally worth it for the view, the house, and the amazing hosts if you’re able. We’ll be back next time!

Even though the weather didn't work for us as usual in Croatia, the days in this place were unforgettable. The atmosphere of the place, the view of the olives and the sea, the peace and the peace. Good accessibility and scenic roads to downtown Milna. All of this is great here. The space is cozy, practical and unpretentious, with amazing outdoor seating, a great grill, and an outdoor shower... we didn't miss anything. Very kind and communicative hosts. We want to come back soon. Thank you!

We enjoyed a very relaxed 10 days at Jasen’s house. While the interior is quite basic, it is clean and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlights are for sure the outdoor areas, with kitchen corner, large shady terrace and comfi seating - even plenty of space for relaxing in the hammock. The photos say it all. Who even needs the television, when you can spend all day outside, listening to the birds and buzzing of insects and watching butterflies flying by? The village is small and quiet, and provides all ingredients for a picture perfect vacation away from the crowds, at least in early June. Jasen is a great host, he provided all information beforehand to easily arrive at the house by public transport. Also we learnt a lot from him about the island’s history, and even got a lift back to the ferry when the time came to leave this beautiful place.
