Holiday rentals in Straumfjorden

I can really recommend this accomodation. Rita is super nice. She welcomed us with homemade cake and she answered really fast to all our questions. The house was super clean and is located so beautifully directly at the ocean with mountains just in the backjard. we could see the polar lights just outside the windows. The sauna for sure is a big plus during the winter season. If we ever visit again we will for sure come back to this wonderful place.

What a magical place! We had a through and through amazing experience. The cabin is really cozy and has everything you need and more. It's situated in audibly and visually calming surroundings, pretty much forcing you to slow down. We spent many hours relaxing, a fire cracking in the stove, enjoying the views, eating waffles, enjoying life. At night we fell asleep to the soothing sound of the waves, still seeing glimpses of the last aurora. Steffen himself is also a pure gem. Super kind, responsive and accommodating. More than once he offered or answered what we weren't even thinking about. This is one of those places where you think twice if you should really write an honest review because it will cause more people to come, making it harder for you to come back. But it's so deserved, we couldn't give anything but 5 stars!

Very recently renovated accommodation, very clean and functional. The apartment on one level has a pretty terrace: it is integrated into a larger building that has been divided into three. Very quiet because a little far from the main road (E6). Ideal location right across the ferry dock that connects Olderdalen to the Lyngen opposite (40 min crossing). It's very convenient to vary your hikes on the two massifs. Walking grocery store. Departure from an important hike (Gillaviri) from the village. Aksel and Nathalie live in a neighboring house: they are very friendly and helpful. Even if they don't ski touring themselves, they know the subject very well and are good tips. Great place to stay for two, even if an extra bed is possible in the living room.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Svein’s Airbnb was impeccably clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Svein was an outstanding host—super responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Svein, for making our trip unforgettable!

A truly fantastic place that is very stylishly furnished and where you have to feel comfortable! We sat for many hours on the comfortable armchairs in front of the crackling fireplace and enjoyed it very much. The kitchen is very well equipped and the place was sparkling clean. A place to slow down!

We had a great week at this beautiful fjord-side home. Everything was perfect: the super soft bedding, the house very welcoming and very clean, the bay window directly overlooking the fjord... we even had a magnificent northern lights directly on the terrace!! Tommy is an extremely welcoming host (thanks again for the delicious fish!), very responsive and always concerned about our well-being. We recommend this house 100% thank you Tommy!!

We stayed three nights at Helenes house and it was very cozy. Especially, the barbeque area, sauna and whirlpool was very nice to enjoy the northern lights and chill evenings.

Great stay! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well-equipped and bed rooms were spacious. Kristin was friendly and very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a glorious week in Jim and Grete’s cabin perched above a magnificent fjord. Despite record snowfall, we enjoyed nearby sights and relaxed in the cabin’s cozy woodstove/electric warmth.The cabin was very well stocked, including cinders for icy spots. Jim had the drive to the cabin plowed twice, which was helpful. The beds were comfortable and the main living area was spacious with 360 views. Simple, elegant decor and a well-functioning kitchen completed the experience. We had several great nights for viewing the Aurora (between snow storms!) making this the trip of a lifetime. (The rear parts of the property are shielded from the road lighting below and thus quite dark.) And Jim himself met us in town to return an item we’d mistakenly left behind - it was thoughtful and generous of him to take the time to do so. We highly recommend staying at Jim and Grete’s fabulous cabin!
