Waterfront holiday rentals in Tábua

Absolutely perfect few days at Fiona’s place. A truly relaxing and beautiful stay. The apartment is fabulous. Stunning views. Comfortable beds. A few mins walk to swim in the river (super safe for kids), making friends with her lovely goats on the way. Wild mint and fennel as we walked. Sitting outside in the evening all you can hear are the crickets, and we spotted shooting stars. Fiona provided loads of really great recommendations for local river beaches (thank you!). Fiona herself is lovely. Super friendly and genuinely nice. It is super easy to have a truly brilliant time. Can’t recommend highly enough. We will absolutely return.

We had a lovely time with my family. The essentials for the 2 infants were a plus. We appreciated Angela's responsiveness who didn't hesitate to move when we had a concern. The calm and river nearby is a great plus. We were able to do padel and canoe. Recommended for family time. I will definitely come back.

The place was absolutely amazing, starting with the view near the house, bathing in the pool with all those hills around, especially at the sunset, the morning view, the small river just next to the house and ending with Katarina and Stephan, who were absolutely homey and helpful. The only regret is that we didn’t stay longer and didn’t have time to know them better. Because their vibe really touches the place. Also, the apartament was very cosy and had all the things you could need, even if you are traveling with a baby and a dog. Oh, the dogs! The best hosts there, Pepe and Ziggy were the entertainment for our entire family. Highly recommended them all!

One of the most beautiful properties we have stayed at anywhere in the world. Incredible views and so peaceful that you may not want to leave the property. Our family of 5 paddleboarded on the river and spent a lot of time in the huge pool. We walked with the goats and chickens and had several meaningful exchanges with Peter, who is a special guy and has a lot of insight on the area and it's history. There are pre-Roman and Roman era stone structures and ruins scattered around and loads of wildlife. The place itself was charming and very comfortable and had everything we needed for an amazing stay.

Encontro no Rio was the highlight of our trip to Portugal for our family. The hospitality of the family was unique. With a lot of passion for the guest, the holidays become a unique experience. We have never experienced anything so beautiful for all 6 senses! Many of the highlights included David's delicious evening dining, the extensive breakfast plate, canoeing and swimming in the Mondego River, and the enchanting pool of the property. Our 15-year-old daughter loved the educational riding lessons at Daniela's place. When riding or horseback riding in the river, the 6th sense was awakened. The remaining 5 senses are pampered by the beautiful location: the view of the Mondego river is breathtaking. Always the great outdoors in sight with the lush green forests. There are no roads far and wide with traffic. The true tranquility to rest. Every evening a sunset over the Mondego River.
