Our house is located in the UNESCO Biosphere Park Lungau and offers 5 apartments, sauna, Wi-Fi, table tennis and living room with open fireplace. It is located at the foot of Fanningberg (Skiberg), within walking distance of a horse farm and a pond with climbing park. The farmhouse was built by my father and stands on a large meadow surrounded by mountains. The whole house (10-15 people) - also for seminars - or only individual apartments can be rented. The individual apartments are of different sizes, 38-75m2 and can host 2-4 people. They consist of fully equipped kitchens or kitchens (refrigerator, stove+oven, sink, dining and cooking utensils, cutlery, usually also Mikorwelle and dishwasher), 1 bedroom with double bed (with bedding) and 1-2 bathrooms (with towels) and usually with extra toilet. 2 apartments also have living room. Likewise, there is at least one sofa in each apartment, which can also be used as a sleeping option and a TV. Final cleaning of 30 euros is per apartment. If the whole house is rented it is 120 euros. Except in the winter season, our high season, apartments can also be rented for a longer period of time. All guests can of course use the large room with an open fireplace. The sauna and the table tennis room are available for everyone, as well as the entire outdoor area. There is Wi-Fi through the house. Our house is located directly at the foot of the Fanningberg, a ski mountain. The valley station can be reached without a car, as there is a bus station 150 meters from the house. The ski bus is free. In good weather conditions you can go down to the house with the skis or a sled. 250 meters in front of the house is a small lake with an outdoor park for climbing and boating for all ages. Some of it can be used for free. In addition, there is a riding stable in 10-15 minutes walking distance, where lessons, horseback riding, hiking and horse-drawn carriage rides (in all seasons) are offered. The footpath to the yard is a gravel path, which is largely prohibited from driving, so it is also possible to easily commit for children alone. My father, who lives in the house, likes to prepare breakfast for the guests if it is desired. However, he only speaks German, which does not prevent him from communicating with all nationalities with pleasure. If it turns out, he also likes to show guests something of the area. At the farm lives also the Wutz- also called Bärli, he is a gray tiger hangover, who is responsible for the personal control. I myself am often not at home. After we are in the middle of the Alps, there are many magnificent valleys, numerous crystal clear lakes, farmed rustic huts and massively grandiose peaks. In all seasons, this area has a lot to offer: hiking, ski touring, skiing, cross-country skiing, horse riding, golf, cycling, etc. In addition to the already mentioned Fanningberg, there are numerous other ski areas in the vicinity such as: the Obertauern, Katschberg, Mauterndorf, Aineck... - all can be reached in 5 to max 25 minutes by car. Mariapfarr is also known as “Silent Night, Holy Night”. The song was written by Josef Mohr. There is also a small museum in the Mariapfarr vicarage, which is connected to the really worth seeing pilgrimage museum. Furthermore, there are here in the Lungau some worth seeing churches, castles, castles and other museums. The area is also known for the organic farmers who make delicious products and sell them either at the farm or at the weekly market in Tamsweg. Salzburg can be reached by car from our house a little over 1 hour, Italy to the border is about 120 km, Venice can be reached in about 3 - 4 hours, the Slovenian border is also about 120 km away. Many other exciting destinations are in the immediate vicinity and can be thought of for day trips. The nearest airports are in Salzburg (SZG) and Klagenfurt (KLU). A little further away are Munich (MUC), Vienna (VIE), Ljubljana (LJU), Venice (VCE) and Graz (GRZ). Enter your travel dates and we'll show you the best available flights from all major airlines. The same applies to train and bus passengers. Of course we pick you up from the various stops in our area. If you arrive by car, you can park for free directly at the house. Please do not forget that in Austria you need vignettes on the motorways, which you can buy at any petrol station. At the yard we have bicycles that can be used by you. We don't have e-bikes. The house is at the foot of the Fanningberg, a ski mountain. There are other ski resorts in the immediate vicinity, such as: the Obertauern, Katschberg.... A horse farm is a 10-minute walk from the house. There are also numerous opportunities for ski touring and hiking. 13 valleys with cozy cabins and magnificent lakes can be found in the Lungau Biopshärenpark. The area is also known for its fantastic organic products of the farmers. There is therefore also a biopsy breakfast in our offer.

Vacation home in a secluded location plus farm experience

Vacation in a wonderful secluded location on sunny Geisberg. The rustic Glücksmüh' is a 65 m² self-catering hut. With us you can enjoy the tranquility, the fresh mountain air and the great view in the house or in the sauna. The nearest ski resorts: Kreischberg, Turracher Höhe, Fanningberg, etc. are only about 30 minutes away. In the winter, it is advantageous to take snow chains with you. The highlight, however, is collecting mushrooms in summer (chanterelles, boletus, parasol).

Hoisbauerhütte

Fancy a relaxing vacation in nature? The Hoisbauerhütte is located at about 1600 m above sea level and can accommodate up to 6 people. Our rustic self-catering hut has a triple room, a double room and a single bed in the living area. There is of course running water - bathroom with shower and a toilet with flushing. The hut is only accessible via a forest road - it is very secluded and 30 minutes from the village (and the check-in address).
