Cottage holiday rentals in Tendring District

The house was wonderful for our family vacation. The house is very spacious, beds are super comfy, kitchen is well appointed, very clean bathrooms. The fireplaces add to the atmosphere and we enjoyed lounging around in front of the fireplaces both in the dining and living areas. We also made good use of the log fired hot tub. The surroundings are idyllic and peaceful. Fields as far as the eye can see. Oh and the Shetland ponies are sooo friendly and cute. They add to the feel of being away from the rush of urban life and relaxing in the country side. You do need to pack your soap and shampoo.

Had a lovely time with my girlfriend at the Hedgehog Cottage. Perfect place to get away from it all and unwind. Hollie was fab with responding quickly and sorting out any issues we had. Would definitely recommend, we even had to extend our stay because we didn't want to leave! Thank you so much for you hospitality :)

Absolutely gorgeous cottage with a beautiful garden and surroundings. We especially loved the hot tub! We would definitely return, local towns were lovely to visit and we felt at home right away. Was lovely and quiet so perfect for a relaxing staycation!

We recently enjoyed an unforgettable four-night stay at Elmtree Cottage, and it was nothing short of perfect. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views that greeted us - seemed straight out of a postcard! The cottage itself is a charming blend of rustic character and modern comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub, which offered the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Soaking in the warm water while taking in the panoramic views was pure bliss. The area is also a haven for seafood lovers. We indulged in the freshest seafood, with local catches prepared to perfection, whether we dined out or cooked up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen. Elmtree Cottage is the ideal getaway for anyone looking to relax, explore, and savor the best of what this beautiful region has to offer. We can't wait to return!

Incredible home for a nice city break. Breathtaking views of the countryside whilst enjoying the outdoor bath. Spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Outdoor space at the back is perfect, even for a winter visit. Hayley was amazing and responsive and provides everything you could possibly need. It’s a beautiful property, will certainly be back. We had a lovely time and were very lucky with the weather. A great base for cycling – the village is about 20 minutes ride from the local train station. Beautifully decorated small cottage with all amenities – everything you might want, including basic supplies kindly left by Claire. Very comfortable. A small garden where we could eat outside; all quite enclosed by a high hedge at the back and side, and overlooking the village street at the front. Lots to do in the area, Felixstowe a thriving and pleasant seaside resort, Claire a thoughtful, flexible and considerate host.

I would highly recommend the Stables for a peaceful, relaxing break. Amanda was very responsive, and helpful. There are beautiful walks on your doorstep with stunning views and there are two good pubs within walking distance too. The Stables was really clean and very tastefully decorated, a really comfortable bed and sofa. The cake was delicious and the dogs were absolutely delightful!

Fantastic cottage, everything you could need for a holiday, in a peaceful country setting. Dogs made to feel welcome, with good size enclosed garden. Many things to do within a half hour drive, great places to walk and eat. It was a real pleasure to stay at Letheringham Mill. Jacqui was a great host, and both provided considerate instructions and recommendations before we arrived, and has thoughtfully stocked the cottage with everything you might need (including a lovely welcome pack!). It was a truly dog friendly stay - our dog would happily have stayed forever (as would my son and I!).

Had a lovely stay at the weekend. was very clean and beautiful grounds. although in photos the sauna looks like its attached to the house, it isn't so that was a little disappointing, also the listing stated it was isolated, but you have a few neighbours next door and around. But we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice break. the playground was a good touch too, my daughter played on it constantly. host was lovely and helpful too.

Dynes Cottage is absolutely gorgeous - the photos do not do justice how spacious and homely the property is. The booking and check-in process were seamless, and we arrived to some very welcome treats on arrival. Catherine was a fantastic host, proactive in providing all necessary amenities and more. The table football was a brilliant touch. The cottage was spacious enough for a group of eleven to feel like we had plenty of room. The location is great for walks in the local area, and there are top-quality farm shops a few minutes drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dynes Cottage and it was a perfect getaway for our group of friends.

We loved this cottage. It was very cosy and as a history lover, very fascinating. Beautiful inglenook fireplace with a log burner. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Easy reach to lots of Suffolk attractions but the cottage was peaceful and secluded. Comfy beds, kitchen fitted with everything we needed to cook there. This cottage wouldn’t be suitable if you have mobility issues due to low doorways in places, sloping floors and narrow staircase but it was perfect for us and we knew in advance what to expect. We had a great stay and it even snowed one evening which was very picture perfect. Thank you, we loved it!!

We had a wonderful stay at Polly’s cottage, the kids loved the garden swing and we enjoyed the cozy fireplace and peaceful surroundings - we’d love to come back in the summer time!

My Dad and I had a lovely night in the property. Sue was very responsive and left a lovely card, wishing us a nice stay. The entryway was lovely and spacious; the addition of a coffee machine and a little milk in the fridge was very welcome. The room was cozy and the bathroom was spotless - we both commented on how warm and powerful the shower was. It was located on a peaceful lane yet it wasn’t far away from attractions like Sutton Hoo and Rendlesham Forest. It was just a five minute car journey to Woodbridge, where we had a lovely meal at an Indian restaurant. As it was quite cold, we didn’t use the lovely patio/seating area but the surroundings were peaceful and picturesque as it was on a quiet country lane. If we ever visit Suffolk again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here! Thanks again, Sue!

Had an amazing stay at the Orchard Coach House, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. The property had everything one would need for a relaxing break, thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone - the host Charlie was also most helpful !

We had a wonderful stay - the cottage was beautifully clean and everything was as described. Paul was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the location and consider staying there again - maybe in a yurt next time!

Stayed at Bonnie Cottage for a month as our site closes. Was a real home from home clean, spacious, welcoming and homely. Jo is a fantastic host who responds quickly and the property is a credit to her. Upon arrival we had a welcome package and even treats for our Cat. You won't be disappointed with this property. We look forward to re booking soon.

Couple of gorgeous nights at this peaceful, warm, homely and comfortable cottage. Perfect location for our work meeting on the Friday and access to the sea and lovely towns for the rest of the weekend. Amy was responsive, very helpful and flexible. Would definitely recommend, and return!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Lovely, clean and welcoming. Set in a beautiful location and the accommodation has been finished to a high standard. Beds are super comfy, WiFi and heating were amazing and everything we needed was available. Only problem we should have booked 4 nights ;)
