Outside is a patio garden & furniture. Enter via a double height dining hall, to an open plan kitchen and living room, traditionally furnished with exposed beams and deep window recesses. Downstairs is a large bathroom (bath & walk in power shower). Upstairs two large bedrooms with reading chairs.

Quiet space in the centre Barnard Castle, near the historic Marketcross. Perfect to explore all the independent shops and as a base for walking and cycling Teesdale. We provide a kitchenette for making snacks and hot drinks, and in the town are amazing cafes, restaurants and take-aways. A truly amazing location! This wonderful house sleeps six comfortably and offers a unique view of the Tees and Barnard Castle's castle. Perfect for walking, bird watching, photography and touring the wonderful North East. There is also fishing… riparian rights provide the right to fish (with a licence). Barnard Castle is a lovely town to wander around and is only a 5 minute walk away. Families with young children are asked to message in advance.
