A Norman holiday between sea and countryside

We have long wanted to visit Normandy, to honor and show respect for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice against the atrocities of fascism. Knowing the visit would be emotional, finding the perfect “home,” where we could decompress and contemplate our days on Omaha and Utah beaches, the many museums, and the American Cemetery was crucial, and Sophie and Eric’s beautiful home provided that perfect retreat. The home is truly an ideal, extremely comfortable French country cottage, with everything to warmly welcome travelers to the area. From the sitting area to the bedrooms, baths, well appointed kitchen / dining area, and beautiful garden, we truly felt at home, and wished we’d booked longer. Merci, Sophie and Eric.

Thank you to Anna and Glenn for making our stay at The Loft so comfortable. The contemporary space could be used for a range of accommodation needs and was well laid out and welcoming. All was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the fresh flower arrangement and fridge staples to get our stay off to a great start. the host is super responsive in the responses. he arranged for us to check in time. the house is ultra functional, clean, bright with a very nice view and quiet. everyone felt right at home. a lot which was a must for us with our dog who was allowed without worries. only small downside, the squeaky metal beds, I escalated to the host who told me that for comfort he will change them. when it's done there will be nothing more to complain about and we'll be happy to come back to this cute little house. thank you again for a pleasant stay. for fun

We had a very nice week at Vincent's place. The house is very well located near the port and shopping street, and is a very good base to explore the area. Clean, well decorated, filled with small attentions that make you happy, everything is planned to put the tenant at ease. Vincent gave us many tips when we arrived to visit the area that we enjoyed. We recommend this location!

We had a great time at Beatrice's place. Great welcome, the apartment is spacious, clean and as described. Right in the center of Barfleur, very beautiful little village with its fishing port. Small internet connection problem, but Béatrice and Nicolas were super responsive.

The house is very nice, in a great location and the views are magnificent. Everything you need is for children to indoor and outdoor toys, which is really a plus. Armelle was very kind and accommodating. On the other hand, I agree with the other reviews regarding the cleanliness of the house, a little fair in our opinion.

The place is beautiful. The ambiance made us feel at home and cozy. 3 chickens, a cat, fish, a ping pong table and a place to play boules. Simply perfect. And finally: the apartment was well equipped, French modern furnishings. Heart what more do you want. Anytime again and highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed 2 weeks in the beautiful and quiet house in Port-Bail SUR mer! The kitchen is well equipped. shopping in PortBail or in other cities everywhere supermarkets The sea is 250 m , within walking distance. From here you can start great tours (CapRoute, Route de Phare and to the DDay Beaches) Basile welcomed us in a very friendly way. Normandy is definitely worth a trip

Large villa with pool and sea view

Augustin was very approachable and helped when my daughter was poorly. Answered lots of questions before arrival. Lovely, quiet rural area. Pool was a complete winner. Garden large. Lots of space for children to run around. Beaches were always quiet and vast. We liked the local World War II museum, bakery, bicuiterie and beach bar. All about 20 mins walk or drive and find an easy parking space. If you are taking small children (the house has a great cot), I would advise to take a high chair and a stair gate. We did and it was handy to have. A lovely, sunny week in France. Thanks Augustin….
