Osprey Luxury Lodge With Hot Tub

CarolineRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Probably the best Christmas we have had for a while. All the stress taken out of it by the hosts, the house was beautifully decorated for the season, two wrapped presents and a hamper of goodies. We felt thoroughly spoilt! The cabin is exquisite and we would love to come back. It was wonderful for the dogs too, completely fenced in around the cabin so no fears of escapees! We loved everything about it!!

New: Cantick Head Lighthouse Cottage

MeredithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I'm finding it difficult to put into words what being a guest at Cantick Head was like. Magical, inspiring, cozy, peaceful, safe. The cottage is beyond charming. It was tastefully decorated with little bits of history scattered about. It was absolutely spotless clean with comfortable beds and linens that smelled heavenly especially after a day of hiking the nearby trails. A nature and animal lovers paradise. Alan and his family go above and beyond to ensure you are happy. I found the experience to be quite moving and was saddened to leave. Alan is an example of what an outstanding Airbnb operator is and Cantick Head is a top notch accommodation. The price was very reasonable for the experience of being at Cantick Head. Overall, 11 out 10!

4 Bed in Wick (91390)

NathalieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Every year we pick a new location in Scotland to celebrate my brother's birthday, and this one was one of our favorites so far. The host left many nice touches around the house, including a bottle of Prosecco, as well as some treats for our dog. The location was perfect for us (30 minutes from the Orkney ferry, walking distance from town center, and near some beautiful locations for short walks). Would definitely book this place again.

HelenRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Thank you Peter and Joanna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cottage surrounded by the stunning views coloured in the yellow, red and orange colours of autumn. Wonderful walks and bike trails direct from the cottage. The cottage was so well equipped. Cosy and warm. Lots of wonderful places to visit nearby. Big Burn waterfall walk, Dunrobin Castle and Gardens, Golspie, Ben Bhraggie and Brora. Dornoch, Falls of Shin and Balblair MTB were other lovely places we visited also. We had a very happy time a Big Barns.

Drumdry Cottage, on NC500 with bike storage!

StephenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!

"The Old Byre"...perfect place to relax and unwind

SeanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Old Byre is a special place, thanks to the care that Louise & Bob have put into their property and their wish to share its benefits with others. They are generous hosts and the cottage had a feeling of being warm and welcoming, with things such as the local information pack they created, board games, books and DVDs in the cottage giving it a sense of being a true family holiday home, not a stale commercial rental like any other. The cottage was great as per the listing but what really stood out beyond our expectations was the beautiful garden (kids liked the playhouse) and local land that we were welcomed to explore. They have created fantastic walks in the surrounding fields and woods and it was clear that the whole property has been developed over many years with a love of and respect for nature. It was a peaceful and vibrant place with a lovely feel to it, and it was a great base for exploring the hills, lochs, beaches and villages in the area.

Traditional Orkney Cottage on the island of Hoy

ZainRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Amazing stay, cottage was in a beautiful location and was well furnished and clean. Lovely kitchen with enough pots pans and utensils to cook anything you need. Made great use of the fire which made the cottage very cosy. On a clear night, you get stunning views of the stars. Kathleen was also very friendly and approachable - wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time I come to Hoy!

Otago Cottage, Brora

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Perfect cottage for our family holiday in Brora. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Had everything we needed and added bonus of a great garden which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. Perfect base to explore the area from. Comfy beds with great pillows!! Fire in living room provided instant heat when needed after spending all day outdoors. The kids have asked if we can come back every year so we will be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cosy cottage with stunning views - Island of Hoy

JamesRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Linda’s Place is a lovely former family home in a stunning position on the sea front at Longhope on the island of Hoy. It’s a family home with a very comfy, if somewhat old-fashioned vibe. Don’t expect 5 star accommodation but do expect a warm home well supplied with kitchen equipment and welcoming shortbread (very yummy) and fresh milk in the fridge. There are two boxes of toy,s /games for children of all ages plus a large DVD film collection for showing on the TV , Linda supplies bedding and towels. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. For a rural property the water supply water supply is fab but a tip is to stagger bath/shower times as the hot water sometime can run cool if excessive demand is placed on it. There is a garden with a washing line over the road from the cottage. The next door neighbour is a brilliant neighbour and all locals we met were friendly and very helpful. We two stayed in the first week of August 24 finding the village shop to have comprehensive supply.

Dorrey View Cottage

InessaRating, 5 stars33 months ago
Kevin’s place has been wonderful. The location is great, and you can reach different destinations by car. There is a nice equestrian facility nearby if you like horses. The place is also perfect for fishermen. River Thurso is a gem for fly fishing. Kevin’s house is perfect for a family. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen. It had everything i needed for cooking a variety of meals. The terrace is also beautiful. The beds and the bathroom are warm and comfortable.

The cottage was just as nice as in the video. It was well equipped, with warm comfy beds, nice towels, and plenty of fuel for the wood burners, which warmed the place up in no time. The kitchen had every thing we needed. All in all a very nice place, and I would recommend to all my friends, and would certainly stay again. Thanks Gina Kindest regards Pat Rawnsley

Wathegar Farm Cottage - away from it all

LouiseRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This place is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The cottage is located just outside Haster and is within a windfarm. The turbines also brought a peacefulness to the stay. The cottage is gorgeous, has a garden to sit/play in and places to park. The dog walk around the cottage is lovely. Inside there is more than enough space, the rooms are all set out well and everything you need is there. The best room in my kind is the one above the kitchen, tucked away and with amazing roof windows. I didnt close the blind, i lay in bed and could see all the stars. The location meant that we could visit, Wick, Cairn o get, Whaligoe steps, many o stanes, Noss Head lighthouse, Sinclairs castle and Bay, Thurso, John o groats, Orkney Mainland, Ebeneezer Place, Trinkie, Thurdle Door, Duncansby, Dunnets Head, beach and Forest Walk. We saw the Falkirk kelpies on the way there and Loch Ness on the way home. Amazing memories. Totally recommend this cottage and beautiful place.

The most stunning air BnB and the perfect get away in one of the most stunning spots of the U.K. Sylvia’s place is surrounded by incredible beaches, excellent surf spots with beautiful hills in the distance. Not to mention the amazing wildlife (otters, seals and dear spotted this trip alone) The air BnB was beautifully cosy and the perfect place to relax. The Hoose on the harbour in Helmsdale

BarbaraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a great time at Elizabeth’s place! The location at the harbor is wonderful and I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the bench in front of the house. The kids collected tons of seaglass and shells. You can easily stroll downtown for coffee, food or groceries. The house had lots of space for our family of six to stretch out but still felt cozy. The interior design is thoughtful and very nice. We felt at home the minute we stepped in! The kitchen has all you need to prepare your own meals. Lots of places to explore in the area. We especially enjoyed a hike up in Forsinard. Elizabeth was a attentive host and our communication was always friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay here again when in the area!
