Holiday rentals with an accessible-height bed in Tokyo

We stayed six nights at the Port House. Accommodations: we had a cozy twin beds room for two. The bathroom is small as expected. Maybe a little tight if you’re above average size. Beds and linen were comfortable. There was a desk, hair dryer, small open closet with hangers. Think minimalist so pack light. Amenities: there is a small kitchen and common area on the third floor for filtered water, make your own coffee/tea or cook/reheat. It has two small tables and a small balcony. You can pick up extra amenities such as: toothbrush, soap, shampoo, razor, shower cap & other small items. There is a common sitting area with bathroom on the first floor. Location: in a quiet neighborhood, about five minute walk to the subway and one stop to Shinjuku station. There is an elevator to subway if you have large luggage. Downstairs and next door is the coin-op laundry facilities, surrounding area has a few restaurants, convenience stores, & fast food chains. Thank you Hide and Nari for hosting!

Overall: Great little place, in a great location, and the host is very professional. The Location: Ideal location, 1 minute walk to the Higashi-Shinjuku station with 2 metro lines was super helpful. It's surprisingly quiet, even though you're walking distance from a ton of restaurants, shops, etc. Ideal place to stay to explore nearby and the rest of the city. The Place: It was very clean and functional. It's small compared to US hotel rooms, but the wifi was fast, the shower was hot, and the heating/cooling worked well. The kitchen and mini-fridge were very handy as well, better equipped than a hotel room. The bed was easily able to sleep two people, and there are real blackout curtains for better sleep. If you're new to Japanese toilet bidets, it has a good setup for a first time :D The Host: Very proactive, responsive, and professional.

Appartement très bien situé, dans un quartier familial, résidentiel, et proche des différentes lignes de métro. De nombreux konbini et petits commerces à proximité. L’appartement est calme, très propre et très fonctionnel. Nous nous y sommes sentis très à l’aise.

This is place clean and good location, good for family, nice staff and owner

Really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lot quieter than staying in Shibuya proper which we liked. Close to bus / train stops and local restaurants. We didn’t need help from Hide but we were greeted when we arrived and he seemed available if we needed him - fortunately we didn’t need anything! The room was everything we needed for our stay in Tokyo. We took advantage of the coffee, tea, and filtered water on the 3rd floor. Would definitely recommend to friends!

We are a young family with 2 adults and 2 children, 4 yrs and 1 yr, so travelling needs to include care and consideration in so many ways. Kentaro San’s apartment honestly could not have been better. The rooms were quiet and dark at night which was perfect for settling children to sleep. Access to the washing mach and dryer, was excellent for us, multiple kids playgrounds within a few minutes that we loved during down time from our sightseeing, it was all just so helpful in creating a soft landing for our family. This apartment is an INSANELY good location as you can get to almost anywhere in Tokyo that a tourist would frequent without having to change trains. We also really appreciated the thoughtful curation of extra toiletries when we ran low on items. One thing we wish we did differently was catching a taxi or airport transfer directly to the property. With 4 suitcases, a cot and a pram, it was just too much to carry (so I recommend this to other families). We will be back!

마사님의 숙소에서 2주간 머물렀었습니다. 이숙소는 최고였습니다. 모든것들이 잘 작동합니다. 호스트 내외분은 친절하시면서도 매우 정중하셨고, 숙소에 모든 장소(욕실, 주방, 침실, 화장실)가 편리하고 쓸모있는것들로 구비되어있습니다. 정다운 이숙소가 벌써 그립네요. 동네에도 즐길거리가많아서 저희부부는 동네 구경하며 싸고맛있는 제과점, 식료품점, 고기집, 어물전, 식당등을두루두루 섭렵하였습니다 :D 심지어 동네에 칼디커피도 있어요:D 그리고 중요한 교통! 도쿄시내 어디로가든 교통이 매우편리하고 신속했습니다. 이 동네는 도쿄중심가에서 출퇴근하는 젊은부부들이 애들 키우며 사는곳이라 도쿄 최중심가에서 접근성이 매우좋은곳입니다. 이다음에 도쿄에 또오게된다면 전 망설임 없이 이숙소를 택하겠습니다. 친절하고 상냥하신 호스트 부부께서 오랫동안 이숙소를 운명해주셔서 이숙소에 또 묵을 날이 머지않았으면 하는 바람입니다^^ 건강하세요 감사했습니다.

The house was lovely! The bed in the upstairs bedroom was expansive enough for my husband and I to comfortably share, and the bathroom and kitchen were pristine. Sipping tea on the porch was lovely. The location is superb, only a few minutes' walk to the Scramble. Overall, 10 out of 10.

We rnjoyed staying at Sohei's place! All amenities listed were available for use, and instructions on how to use them were available too! It was quite cold in Tokyo when we were there but the place was very warm ❤️ we appreciate the heater, the hot water, and all other amenities. It was also quite close to the station and to 711 so it was very convenient. We totally loved it!

The location was great, and was just what I was looking for as it was able to cater up to 6 people, would recommend for those with large groups.

I stayed at Chisaki's airbnb with 16 other people for a school trip. While the main living room and kitchen is a tight for 17, we appreciated the size of the rooms and the number of bathrooms. The showers are a little smaller and there are only three, but we managed to make it work. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the heating/air conditioner units in each room. I also appreciated having a full length mirror and vanity in the upstairs room. Overall, the airbnb is really nice. There is some wear and tear and you can tell that some of the furniture is a bit older, but the price for a place that fits a large group is entirely reasonable. The only major downside during our stay was the nighttime construction that happened right outside of our windows.

The place is very nice and clean. Very comfortable to stay at. It has good restaurants around but we weren’t able to check them out until our last day. The hosts are very responsive as well! We have everything we need in the place. 😊

We had an amazing stay at Yong Gun’s place at Meguro. Clean, spacious and very close to the station- we would definitely stay again.
