Holiday rentals in Toubakouta

I chose this apartment primarily for its location and security. It was exactly as I’d hoped. Beautiful views of the beach which was also easy to access. Unfortunately the sea was too rough for swimming but great for a bit of fun jumping the waves. Short taxi drive to Senegambia where you’ll find loads of bars and restaurants with varied menus to suit all tastes. Taxis are easy to access and very reasonably priced. Small supermarket a few minutes walk from the apartment. I felt very safe at this apartment. Very friendly security staff 24 hours a day. Bakary was also very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was well kept and equipped with sun beds. The apartment was spacious with all 3 bedrooms with a good en suite. Well equipped kitchen. It was not a problem to us but be aware the apartment is on the third floor with no lift. It does add to the fantastic beach view of course.

Our stay at Gaby's property in The Gambia was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene beauty of the surroundings. It was the perfect retreat for our family, especially for our 3-year-old, who had plenty of safe space to explore and play. The property was impeccably clean, and we loved the option to have it tidied daily upon request. This attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. Gaby was an incredibly responsive host, always ready to assist and ensure we had everything we needed. Gaby's local dining recommendations were a highlight of our trip. Each restaurant she suggested offered delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Her insights truly enhanced our experience and made our visit even more special. Overall, our experience was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend Gaby's property to anyone seeking a peaceful and enriching getaway.

Great place and great people. A decent trek to the main tourist drag but I think that's the idea. A local taxi should work out at no more than £0.30 just ask the guys how it works. Real friendly people too. Musa was a star

It was the second time for me in Elisabeth's AirBnB and it was just as good as the first time! The house is beautiful and has everything you need, the staff is great and the surroundings beautiful. Great place to get a proper rest and recharge!

A break from a peaceful retreat. The villa is approachable and welcoming as is Aliou and Cyril. We were a family with two children 5 and a year and a half to discover the turtles on the last day was a pleasant surprise. This parenthesis in the middle of the vegetation feet in the water is just perfect. The city center is on foot and the pier for the islands is at the end of the main street. Aliou is responsive and caring, there was a general power outage (not because of the owner ) with more water...and Aliou quickly found us a solution and brought water to wash bottles ect. We recommend more and will come back if we are around. thanks again.

The apartment was splendid

I arrived very late at night. The reception was very friendly, even at this hour. My late departure time has also been resolved with a supplement. Contact with the owners was quick and clear at all times. During my stay, I did fall through the bed, although I am not fat. But this has been resolved by the maintenance of Forest View. I, personally thought by the pictures, that there were 2 bedrooms but only shared bed. Everything was, in terms of comfort, present in the studio. The sofa, on the other hand, needs to be replaced. That is very uncomfortable. Both living space and bedroom have air conditioning. You will get a regular visit from friendly monkeys on your terrace who only love to feast on fruit. Gambia is struggling with regular power interruptions but there is a reserve generator that fixes this quickly. The neighbourhood itself is pleasant with everything close by. You don't have much trouble with the exit neighborhood. There is a nice swimming pool that is kept tidy during the full day

Great location, good apartment. Would stay again. Generator comes on as soon as power cuts which is great. Management are friendly and welcoming. Internet was the best and most reliable I’ve used in The Gambia, and the AC was strong. Very secure, and would certainly recommend especially if travelling alone.
