We were personally welcomed in this lovely apartment with a beautiful view of the Alkmaar skyline. Highly recommended!

Beautiful apartment on the outskirts of the city center of Alkmaar. Ideal: the shops and restaurants are a 2-minute walk away. The apartment itself is in a quiet place, you sometimes hear passers-by or the church bells, that's it 😃 We found the apartment more spacious than expected. And there was underfloor heating, very nice ☺️

Top hosts. He gave us a lot of tips for the area and was very warm. The jacuzzi was of course the best! We'll be happy to come back. 😊

I stayed at Hotel Royal when I arrived in the Netherlands, which greatly helped me to settle here. The team was extremely helpful, welcoming and very flexible. I greatly recommend.

Wonderful location to stay at. Good bed, nice bathroom and cozy living room/kitchen. Great to be for several days. I was also able to work there for another day; wifi is fine! Nice and quiet but still central to all amenities. I'd love to come back.

Wijnand's place was absolutely lovely. It was perfect for a 3-night stay. Any longer and the space may have felt too compact, but then again you had two seperate rooms to have some alone time if needed so this didn't bother us at all. With all the rain, snow and sleet at this time of the year, the bath was a great addition to the property. It was so lovely to come back after a long-day and chill in the bath with a coffee and a TV show. We'd definitely stay again!

i really enjoyed my stay at margot’s place, it was within walking distance of zaandam station so i could easily get to amsterdam centraal, and it was a quiet area. a warm, cosy place to stay in winter! margot was extremely helpful and communicated everything that i needed, couldn’t recommend this place more!!

Hans was an excellent and very gracious host. His apartment is private and serene and he was so welcoming. He met me when I arrived and showed me everything. The unit has everything you need in a very efficient space, and spotless. He and his lovely wife live upstairs but I had complete privacy and quiet, and felt super comfortable and welcome. It really does overlook a canal! If you're going to Haarlem, give his place a try.

I had an amazing stay at Leon’s place! From the moment I booked, communication was seamless—Leon was quick to respond, provided clear instructions, and made sure I had everything I needed. He was a fantastic host, always available for questions but also gave me privacy to enjoy my stay. The property itself exceeded expectations. It was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The décor was stylish yet cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. The amenities were thoughtfully provided—comfortable bedding, a well-equipped kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi, which was a huge plus. Overall, Leon is a top-notch host, and his property is a gem. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

A very nice and cozy place!

We had a lovely weekend at Chris's cottage! Close to the forest, with all the comforts, close to Amersfoort and Utrecht! Enjoyed the sauna, the beds were very confortable and everything was very clean. I would recommend the house.

We had the absolute best time staying at Nicolette’s beautiful home! She was so wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed. The location is beautiful situated with the best river view and the town of Maarssen is just a few minutes down the road. We would highly recommend that anyone visiting this area should stay here! Nicolette is very kind and is a wonderful and attentive host!!!!

Staying at the country side guesthouse in Middley was a great unforgettable experience. We are a family of 5 (2 adults & 3 children). The location was perfect, the house was magnificent, peaceful, cozy, spacious & clean, and Victor was very helpful & always ready to answer our questions. The kitchen was very well equipped as well. The view from the house was very pleasant while watching the landscape, the two adorable horses; Teddy & Vincent, the dogs; Cooper & the black Labrador, the ducks, and the goats. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful house in an excellent location, close to shops, amenities and public transport. The house is much bigger than the photos suggest and was perfect for our month long stay. A fully enclosed garden is ideal for pets. The house itself was warm, cozy and inviting. Berrie is a great host, very helpful and responsive. The location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Haarlem with direct train and bus services. Highly recommended for a short or long stay! The place has everything you could need

Everything was clean and maintained. The garden is large and the hot tub offers a perfect place to relax. The host was always available and very friendly. The house is situated in a quiet location and is perfect for a holiday with and without children. Thank you and always happy to come back!

Helena’s gorgeous studio on Prinsengracht restores my faith in AirBnB as a platform to find unique, personalised, beloved spaces rather than made-to-rent anonymous anywherelands. Prinsengracht 969 is the beautifully-restored basement flat in a landmark Amsterdam canal house. Helena did the renovation herself with style, and she has created a comfortable, elegant, squeaky-clean and serene space in the middle of the city. The location couldn't be better - on a wonderful canal, and a short walk to the centre, the museums, or the lively neighborhood of De Pijp with its outdoor market. Helena's personal introductory tour was warm and helpful, and I had a wonderful few days staying here.

Comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated and good location. Pleasant environment, quiet. We think it would be nice to provide 2 large blankets extra for the winter period and a toaster. A small caveat nevertheless regarding the really small 2nd bedroom when you come to 2 couples. Very good bedding. 🙂Amsterdam is only 15 minutes by car to the parking lot at the entrance of the city and the Europlain metro station. Metro tickets taken from the parking lot allow a discount on the parking lot (€6 instead of €33!) . It's good to know😉Very good restaurant in Abcoude close to the apartment: Jasmyne. Quality Asian cuisine, atmosphere and warm welcome. In short, we had a lovely stay at Max's🙂

I stayed here with some friends and we all LOVED the place! It was clean, homely, beautifully decorated and in a good location with access to public transport. Would love to stay here again when I visit Amsterdam ☺️

Michiel and Rosa are such lovely people. We felt right at home in the apartment due to a super Sweet welcome gift. Everything looked cared for and tidy. The communication was excellent and it was always nice to have a chat with Michiel and Rosa. The location of the apartment is great and the area looks like a postcard. Just a super nice experience to stay here. Even in winter. We're going to miss them but are very happy that they have been a part of our trip. Lots of love from Daan and Mariaan

We had a great stay at Anna’s place. It was so nice to be away from the touristy areas and in a quiet, comfortable, well equipped apartment. With transit you can be in the city center quickly but it is also very walkable. Anna was always super responsive and provided lots of great recommendations for restaurants and places to go in the area. Highly recommend staying here!

The apartment is lovely, comfortable, stylish, and very central in Haarlem. We stayed for 1 week while working remotely, so it was great having a functional kitchen and laundry (including detergent, salt, oil, coffee, tea etc), as well as enough space in the living area to enjoy spending a reasonable amount of time in the apartment. Simon is very helpful and responsive, which was great! It’s also very easy to reach from the bus or train, and supermarkets, cafes, the park, and the markets are just a few minutes away. Everything was very easy. The only downsides were that the street can be quite noisy - luckily the bedroom is still very quiet - and the bedroom / bathroom are very small. This didn’t bother us but would be something to keep in mind. Nicer sheets for the bed would also be appreciated. Overall I loved staying here and would recommend it!

The bed was super comfortable and one of the highlights was the bathroom, which featured a nice bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location was fantastic, close to great restaurants, shops, and public transport was right in front of the door, making it easy to explore the area. The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in/check-out smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! I’ll definitely be back!
