“It’s the people who matter. Caretaker Mark and his family made us feel home from the instant we reached this place. These were some of the most humble people I’ve ever met. I was traveling with a 2yr old who wasn’t feeling well, Mark got medicines for us even late in the night. One of the highlight was the bonfire and dinner setup around it which made the stay extra special for us. The homecooked food was so amazing that we ended up eating at home on all days! Staywise- The villa is not luxurious but is functional. Location is at the centre with most attractions nearby.

Very beautiful, remote villa. Everything was as described. As in the previous ratings, we also feel that the private cook deserves a special mention. The food he prepared was very tasty. Communication was great as well: The owner even stopped by to check if everything’s ok, which was an appreciated gesture. Additionally a misunderstanding in regards to the tuktuk transfer was solved quickly and in a generous manner.

I'm only giving 5 stars because I can't give more. Dana communicated very promptly and nothing was a problem for him. Anything we needed was met beforehand. He is a very nice and welcoming person. She was an absolutely amazing host. We had warm tea ready upon arrival. She asked us what we would do for dinner, that she would prepare it for us. And what did she set up?? You can't describe in words how great it was! They are both very great people. We're sorry we had to leave so early. We'll be back as soon as we can!

Every other five star I've given pales in comparison to this place! Highlight of our whole Sri Lankan trip. Breakfast and dinner were incredible, probably the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The whole family was so friendly and helpful and Romeni and Grace even gave us a cooking demonstration. The hike through the cloud forest with Lal is also fantastic. The accommodation is very peaceful, we were sad to leave! Thankyou again.

My entire stay at Edgar Mansion was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the thoughtful attention to detail in the decor. Every corner of the house exuded a sense of elegance and warmth, creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Chef Reggie and his talented team. Not only did they prepare extraordinary meals that delighted the senses, but they also went above and beyond to attend to all our needs with genuine care and professionalism. Their dedication truly elevated the entire experience.

The apartment is very comfortable, the kitchen/dining area is spacious and has all equipment necessary to prepare and cook meals. The bedroom balcony has great views over Kandy, and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting there, especially the sunsets. Wilson is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful with suggestions to visit local attractions. Overall, we can thoroughly recommend staying here, when visiting Kandy.

This place is perfect for hikers, in the middle of the tea mountains. The view was breathtaking. Ragu was very accommodating and even brought us the food to the cabin. We had to leave one night earlier and the cost was refunded to us.

The Villa was absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway — Mohamed and Tuan were the perfect hosts: super responsive and polite, always helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The space is spotless, the rooms were large and kept perfectly, and the view was unmatched. As long as you have transport to get you into Kandy, it’s also located conveniently so you can reach the city easily but still get the peace and quiet of the hills. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay with more attentive hosts!

A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - peaceful, surrounded by nature, and free from noise pollution. Duminda, David, and Charles made me feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
