Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Union County

I hosted a slumber party for my 10 year old and 9 of her friends, THEY HAD AN ABSOLUTE BALL!! The second night, my husband, mother and 3 children enjoyed a night ourselves, and no one wanted to leave the next morning! Thank you for providing such a comforting atmosphere for my family and I to enjoy!

This was our second stay at Jennifer's place. We had a comfortable night with no issues. It's a quiet neighborhood and the house has a few extras that make it nice: fenced yard, table games, streaming movies, and (my teenage daughter wants to add) coffee choices. :) Thanks, Jennifer, for sharing your place!

Lovely place, quiet, peaceful cove. House has everything. The screened decks are stellar for enjoying the natural beauty. Bird watchers try the 3rd level, no screen and in the treetops. Very dog friendly property. Kind and attentive host. We had a great time and hope to come back.

Mary Ann’s place is a great place to stay! This was our 2nd stay at Sweet Peas and it definitely won’t be our last. Her place is very cozy, clean, and welcoming. She has bottles of water, snacks, and plenty of coffee available. She is very responsive to messages. I highly recommend staying at Sweet Peas.

Was an amazing home beautiful backyard and patio. Close to all the stores and Restaurants. Would highly recommend!

I stayed here for a month and I had the most peaceful time. Everything was clean, a lot of stores and restaurants just 4-5 min drive. David was a such great host he was super helpful and communication was great . I wanted to stay longer but sadly the place was booked . I would def come back in the future . Thank you!

Had such an amazing time, I can’t wait to book again! Such a peaceful time, much needed space away, the place is massive and such a big hit, so nobody is tripping over each other. Convenient location, and Hosts were so friendly and helpful! And the movie room is a total selling point! Beds were so comfortable. If you need a quiet place away definitely book here!

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

Believe all the reviews - this place and the hosts are absolutely amazing! Hosts were awesome at recommending restaurants, things to do, and also the details of how to take advantage of the onsite amenities. Of the many airbnb's / overnight rentals we've stayed in this is the only one that I would say was truly at 10/10. Can't wait to return the next time we're headed to Carbondale!

Kristine’s house was just as described. The space was great for gathering together to visit and relax. The pool was a great bonus! We would definitely choose this property again when staying in the area.

Dave's place was really great and we had plenty of room for our family, lots of amenities, and he left detailed instructions.

Fantastic little cabin to disconnect from the world a short while. Not too terribly far from the local towns in case you need something, and just off a well traveled road making it easy to get there, but with no WiFi being out in the woods it feels so easy to just be there in this beautiful little space. Read the description well so you understand what you're renting. The place is heated with a wood burning stove and the kitchen is tiny. Pack and prepare ahead of time. If you're looking for someplace to retreat to write or work on some sort of projects this is a fantastic place to go. The cabin is truly one of a kind. It was built by the landowners and it's really remarkable to explore. The landowner's were fanrastic to work with and even as she was out of town they made sure our needs were tended to. I wouldn't be aurprised if we returned here many more times.

This place serves very well as a home base for hikers visiting the Shawnee National Forest

We thoroughly enjoyed the treehouse. Derick was super accommodating and answered my few questions immediately. The peacefulness was priceless. In the description it doesnt mention the serene babbling creek that runs beside and behind the property. We 100 percent recommend the treehouse for a getaway and a recharge. Cant wait to go back!

Our stay was absolutely lovely. The property was quiet, and perfect for a two night couples get-away. We were able to bring our two goldens, which was such a treat since that meant we could take them hiking with us on Panther’s Den Loop and Ferne Clyffe State Park. Gorgeous trails by the way! The guidebook provided was detailed and thoughtful, and the optional add ons were a huge hospitality bonus. Thank you for a special stay at your beautiful property!

Bonnies warmth and compassion was so welcoming! So much beauty created by heart and hands from them. Beautiful surroundings of peaceful woods, trails, main home and of course beautiful souls with big hearts. I absolutely adore the cozy tiny home i stayed in and look forward to staying more again. It truly is a magnificent sacred special place full of peace and love. So accomidating and helpful with recommendations of anything i wanted, needed or might be interested in. Close to beautiful shops. Introduced to friends whom which all were and are helpful in caring and helping like family yet still had my privacy to take walks on the trails in the woods, sit by the pond, and have my cozy quiet time. This place is so much more than I expected and i got to hear their story of how they have built such a beautiful home for them and all welcomed . Open minded and ooen hearts has been vwry special to my heart which i am extremely thankful i found them and this gem .. good medicine.

My wife and I stayed at Tim and Mary's cabin for 3 nights as part of a quiet New Year's getaway. The cabin was perfect - clean, quiet and cozy with a nice gas fireplace. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very workable with hotplate burners, convection oven and microwave. There is a outdoor grill too, which we did not have to press into service. Hot tub was nice too on some chilly days. Wooded land surrounds. There is another cabin on the property but removed from your own at a far enough distance that you'll forget it's there. But mainly, I just wanted to say that the cabin interior is gorgeous. Dark wood walls and Native American art, and modern in key ways. Very relaxing.

Cabin was exactly as described and was a lovely place to wait out a winter snow and ice storm as we made our way across the country. Cozy, comfortable, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful (ice-covered) trees. Mary was so friendly and helpful, and we hated to leave this gorgeous spot. If we're ever back in the area, we will most definitely stay here again. Thank you, Mary!

This was a great get away! My boyfriend purposed to me, the hosts were so accommodating!! The place was super clean and cute! We will definitely be back!
