Family-friendly holiday rentals in Waihee-Waiehu

The place is wonderful and fully stocked with things needed for cooking. We whale watched from patio and pool area. The beach is all rock and no swimming there. You are on a busy road slow speed limits but may be unsafe for families with kids. We walked some but did get ubers and lyft mostly. Don’t rent a car as very expensive.

The location was good for us with easy access to the beach and other island sites. House is well stocked with kitchen accessories, beach going toys, towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc. Owners were responsive and communicated well. House was spacious and met our needs.

We loved it, and feel it was accurately portrayed. Our only big issue was made by God, but should have been noted either insight or in the arrival information. We experienced a high winds, flash flood filled night, which filled our rental with water and mud, and the entire area with inches and feet in some places of mud. Here is why it should noted: Two separate tenants told us they had lost 3 cars from this happening. That is 6 cars. And the Fast Towing driver said yep, they get hit every time. Had I known in advance it was a possibility, I would have parked somewhere not in harms way. The reason for all the mud is the construction directly behind the Kihei Bay Vista area, which is only in the acres of dirt phase. That’s why we were hit so hard. And all the mud was deposited. The residents were all so quick to start shoveling walkways for everyone. And you could tell why it is suck a beautiful place, they care and take pride in everything. The pool pictures don’t do it justice!

We loved our stay at Heather's home. It was beautiful and very comfortable and the view of the ocean and golf course was really nice. The location was great too, very nice neighborhood! The pool and hot tub areas was a really nice bonus too! We would love to stay at Heather's again on a future visit! Thank you Heather! Robin

We had a great stay at Kihei Bay Surf. We were right across the street from the beach, but when it got too windy, we also had pool access which was very nice. The road was a bit busy, but ultimately not too bad. For those guests that like to cook from their stays (like we do) we found the kitchen well equipped, though you may want to plan ahead regarding seasonings and condiments, etc. There are also a lot of great restaurants nearby (Karen's recommendations were all excellent!) This lovely condo was just as described. Quiet, clean, spacious, with all of the amenities. Beds were comfy, shower was great, and Tamsen supplied all of the beach toys we needed... chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels. We were across the street from beach and sunsets. And next door to many delicious restaurants. We'd definitely stay again!

My husband and I had a positive experience staying at this condo. Communication with the hosts was excellent—they were attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. While we did encounter a mix-up at check-in, as the condo was still being cleaned when we arrived, the hosts handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Once the condo was ready, it was spotless, cozy, and perfect for our needs. Our baby, who had been cranky after the flight, settled down and slept all night, and we all enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Despite the initial hiccup, the experience was great, thanks to the hosts’ dedication to ensuring we had a pleasant visit. We would happily recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again!

We really loved staying here. Beach access across the street, walkable to restaurants, centrally located. It was also great to have the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler for beach trips.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There were 3 of us and the configuration worked out beautifully. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was great for us. We were able to walk, take the trolley or Uber everywhere we went. The beach here is beautiful. The view was amazing and we would def stay here again.

Excellent location close to dining options, markets, and a shopping center. We were in Maui to celebrate my nephew's wedding. I booked an Airbnb for my son's family of 3 and my own family of 3 to save money by preparing our own meals. Upon arrival, Ken informed me that the air conditioning was not functioning. Due to the high temperature and the kitchen being upstairs, we ended up eating out most of the time. Despite Ken offering a small discount, it did not cover our dining expenses. The house was uncomfortably warm. However, if I return to Maui, I will consider staying in the same place, hopefully with better air conditioning.

This is a lovely house for a stay in Lanai City, especially for a family where you need the extra space. We stayed here for 3 days over 2 nights, and will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family. The host was especially helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants on island. She became my personal travel guide as I planned the stay on Lanai for my wife’s birthday!

Great location, everything in the home is brand new and clean. The pool and hot tub was very nice. Great view of the sunset.

Great location, overlooking the bay and easy walking distance of restaurants/food trucks and stores. Very nice interior, clean and comfortable, and large balconies. Interesting finishes and furnishings. Very responsive host.

The guesthouse was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) after arriving from an evening flight. Check in was easy and everything was as described. We didn’t use the kitchen amenities since we stayed just one night, so I cannot comment on the kitchen set-up. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice and clean. The guest house is walkable to nice coffee shops, breakfast and more. It is a very short (less than a couple miles from Iao Valley State Monument) so that was a nice way to start the morning. Host was very responsive and all directions were really clear. Guesthouse was clean and comfortable, a little on the pricier side for the stay/value, but higher prices are to be expected in Hawaii.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Turtle House. Poni was wonderful, location made us feel like we were locals. Beaches were amazing, so many fun restaurants to choose from. Her guide book was second to none, recommendations were spot on. We will definitely stay here again.

We really loved our stay here. the villa itself was perfect and super clean, had everything we needed, and the area and pool were great. really peaceful place, exactly what we needed. excellent hosts, respond quickly and very helpful. Location is great, close to amazing beaches and walking distance to amazing food. we travelled all over Maui and this was our favourite place of all. perfect for exploring Kihei and surroundings Next time we come to Maui, we are coming straight back here. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here and it’s right across from Kihei Kalama beach, a fabulous beach, super family friendly. The bed is very comfortable and the condo is spacious and had everything that we needed. The parking is very easy as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and quick drives to great restaurants. Yvonne and William were incredibly welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. The condo was spotless and had all the amenities and utensils we needed. The balcony views were absolutely stunning!

Exactly as pictured and described. Perfect location, with short walk to the beach, walking distance from shops and restaurants, and fully stocked. Beach closet had everything we needed and more: beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, pails and shovels for sand castles and even water shoes. Kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, dishes, cups, and lots of plastic containers for food storage. We had a great visit!

Wonderful stay. The host was magnificent, everything as described. Communication was far better than most. Home was very clean and comfortable. Loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Very central to all of our activities and walking distance to great snorkeling, food, and shops. Perfect place to stay for active families.
