Holiday rentals in Waldo County

Our stay in Sharon’s camp overlooking Halfmoon Pond was wonderful. It was peaceful, the setting beautiful and the camp equipped with everything, and more than, we needed. We had plenty of towels, linens, blankets. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked one to two meals a day and had everything we needed. We never needed or wanted anything that Sharon didn’t have. Sharon was a great host. She checked in with us, quickly offered a solution when mother nature created an issue, offered suggestions on places to eat, shared where we could find the closest grocery store, and, most importantly, created a comfortable home away from home. It’s a little slice of Heaven that we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at again, and again and again. [We visited from a small town in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains.]

Excellent accommodations, cozy house, all needed amenities. Close to Belfast and Camden, so much to do in the area. We could have stayed several more days to explore!

The home was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. It was unexpected but amazing to have everything one needs to cook lobster and a Thanksgiving turkey and fixings! David and Hannah were very responsive, welcoming and kind. What a beautiful location in downtown Belfast, very walkable with lovely views. Highly recommended!

Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.

We've been coming to this cabin every year and it's always the perfect peaceful getaway!

Very private yet easy access to the highway, perched on a hill overlooking the Penobscot river. Glorious morning light streams in through double height windows and sliders lead out to a spacious deck with a view of the river. There is a fire pit and also a lovely seating area on the riverbank with comfy Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy a cup of tea and sketch or observe the birds. A family of turkeys would parade across the grounds before roosting in nearby trees. Herons, eagles, cormorants, brown creepers, chickadees and grebes were observed from the riverside deck. There is a tranquil sense of isolation. We could play music without worrying about disturbing neighbors. The kitchen has all that you will need to prepare meals and plates, silverware, glasses etc.. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and a couple of double beds in a semi-private sleeping loft above. A large TV is mounted on the wall with hundreds of channels. The wifi is non-functional but who cares?

We had a great time at Above & Beyond. A perfect spot to take in the scenery. We had a great time. Would certainly recommend this as a unique spot to stay at. Very private and we had everything we needed. Access to the beach offers beautiful view of the sunset.
