The Dream Barn is a fine place in a very quiet village, but with the basics near to hand. The view is soothing. While it may seem cluttered, that means there's everything you might need and more. Jim truly makes this beyond a pleasant retreat with his hospitality and quick response to concerns. Even when the power went out due to Storm Eowyn, Jim worked tirelessly to ensure my comfort.

We had a lovely stay at John's place. The accommodation was clean, cosy and well-decorated. The view from the patio windows was incredible. Lots of lighting options and excellent cooking facilities and bathrooms, which are important for comfort and convenience. You are within 5 minutes' walk of a local Eurospar, coffee shops, pubs and a couple of fine restaurants. Walkers will also love proximity to Murlough nature reserve and the Mournes. We look forward to returning at another time.

Beautiful apartment, with plenty space for two families. Spotless, warm and incredible view. Close to all the sights in Co Down. Friendly pub across the harbour, and lovely friendly Conradh na Gaeilge Irish speaking cafe around the corner. One of the best airbnb setups I’ve ever seen.

Great stay, peaceful and very quiet area, so we were able to relax and unwind. Fabulous apartment and good value, very close to Newcastle and Tollymore Forest Park not far away…highly recommend and would stay there again, thank you.

Dundrum is a beautiful place to be. Wading birds. Seals. Stunning walks. Mourne mountains. Great local restaurants. Friendly local church at St Donards. Gillian's apartment is a great place from which to experience it.

Roberta’s unit was wonderful and the location was walkable to everything in Newcastle. The view of the ocean was amazing and relaxing. The parking spot in the garage was also extremely convenient.

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Moorings, where the apartment was perfect for 4 adults. Stunning views, well equipped and clean accommodation, and couldn’t be closer to the water- based activities we were looking for. Highly recommend. W

The accommodation was as described. It was warm, prestine condition and exceptionally clean. The tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits was much appreciated. Really short walk to Warrenpoint Golf Club where we were attending a family celebration. Annette replied promptly and helpfully to any queries we had.

Leanne was the perfect host, making everything so easy for us. Her house was beautiful, pristine and had everything we needed. It's right on Strangford Lough, and the views are gorgeous. A couple of minute's walk to the wonderful Smugglers Table restaurant, and just down the road from several pubs and a fantastic garage/supermarket. We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas there. We would recommend it highly, and would love to come back.

Paudie was a wonderful host, bringing us biscuits and tea bags and milk to welcome us. The accommodation is in a flower-filled lane right in the centre of the town. Pubs and restaurants are less than a two minute walk away, but despite this the house is private and peaceful. Parking is readily available nearby for those with a car, and a bike can safely be left outside the house. The accommodation is plain, but clean and tidy and the bed is very comfortable. The double bedroom is upstairs, so if one guest wants to retire early, the other can watch the big tv in the lounge/kitchen and not cause disturbance.

The Dawn Chorus house was a beautiful place to stay. Rachel and her husband were great hosts and the place met and exceeded all our expectations. It was the perfect place to stay in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Camillus's house was great. The house itsself is in a quiet cul de sac, a 3 min walk to supervalue and a 10 min walk to town. The house was clean and well equipped with a nice back garden. Our two kids also had a great time and really enjoyed activities in the area. Would definitely recommend.

The Holly house was a amazing place to stay! Super clean and a lovely neighbourhood and everything so close by! The host Fiona is so lovely and easy to talk to, very accommodating and we can’t beat the stay🥰 Would highly recommend for a getaway and can’t wait to come back and enjoy the hot tub again!🥰

What wonderful place Forest View is. we only stayed one night, as we were in Rostrevor for an old neighbours funeral. Everything is as described and the inside and outside is finished to top quality! I have stayed in 4 other places in Rostrevor over the last couple of years and this is by far the best and I'm pretty sure the cheapest. I will definitely be staying again later on this year.

Just back home today after a 7 night stay at the wee home. Absolutely beautiful home and location. We took bicycles and explored other places. Home so tranquil but a 8 minute cycle into Kilkeel town centre. We took four kids ranging from teenagers to 6 year old. All thoroughly enjoyed our visit and everyone wanting to return again. We went to Turkey last year and whilst this was also a great holiday our trip to Kilkeel trumped this by far. Will definitely be returning

This was a perfect place for my wife & I to stay. With lots of cousins in the area the pub provided a great gathering spot. The room itself was spacious and clean.

This wasn't a break for us. We needed somewhere close to home because we were without power after storm Eowyn. We both work from and our offices are in Dublin (a 200 mile round trip commute, so not an option to commute every day). Newcastle is an 18 minute drive from our home and power had been restored to the area so it was a perfect location for us. The apartment was perfect for us. It had the space we needed, was clean and in great condition, and is a 15 minute walk into the town centre where sea front walks and great restaurants, pubs and coffee shops are all there for you. Paul is a very responsive / helpful host. Would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to sample the delights of Newcastle / the Mourne mountains.

Please don't hesitate to book Zara's place. It's perfectly appointed in a lovely secluded spot. The decor is beautiful and it's completely immaculate. Plenty of room for a family of four and lots of outdoor space to enjoy the fresh air. We watched the sunrise through the picture window every morning. It was idyllic. Zara was very responsive to my messages, not that we needed much as the cottage had everything we needed. We are really looking forward to staying again!

Our family enjoyed the incredible property as we were in Newcastle for our daughter’s wedding. The space is filled with comfortable seating and multiple places to relax. All of us were able to enjoy the views of the sea and sunrise. The beds are super comfortable and linens top quality. We also enjoyed the kitchen with a full refrigerator and island to prepare food and eat. Another plus was having a washer and dryer as we had all been traveling for several days before our arrival plus we had a 2 month old with us. The space was warm and carpets welcomed. All bathrooms were very clean and well lit. It was also very walkable to restaurants and the Lidl plus Slieve Donard Hotel where the wedding reception was held. There are also two parking spots inside the coded gate making it very safe as well. What a wonderful and memorable time for our family to enjoy together as we came together for our daughter’s wedding. We would not hesitate to return.
