Cottage holiday rentals in West Lulworth

A very clean, cosy, well equipped property, including some personal touches. We took full advantage of the hot tub and were very lucky with the weather, so able to relax in the peaceful and private surroundings in the spring sunshine, while allowing our dog to explore the enclosed grounds. There are pubs locally that serves food but we did a shop in Bridgwater prior to arrival and ate mostly in the property. Full location and access details provided in advance and contact prior and during were perfect. We needed a few days to recharge our batteries and this lodge ticked all the boxes.

We only stayed one night as it was a stop off on our way to Cornwall but we were so gutted we didn’t book for longer. The cabin was beautiful and clean. The park was perfect for our two children. The views were amazing. We had everything we needed for our stay and appreciated the basics that were provided such as tea and coffee. The hot tub was lovely and warm and we were able to see the stars well in the evening. We requested a high chair which was ready on arrival and check in instructions were clear. We would definitely consider returning for a longer stay next time. Thank you so much :)

Really lovely house. Deceptively spacious and perfect for 8 of us for a long weekend. There was everything there that you'd need. The hot tub and table tennis were a great feature too. Most importantly, it was spotless. I'd love to know what washing stuff they use because the bedding and towels smelled lovely! The kids are already trying to plan another trip. We had such a fantastic time in Jocelyn and David’s Air B & B with our 11 month old twins. The place is very child friendly with cots, highchairs and plenty of toys which our twins loved to play with. Everything is very cosy and comfortable (with comfy sofas and beds) and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything was also very clean. We also enjoyed having a glass of wine in the hot tub after we put our twins to bed. It is in a great location with plenty of great nearby pubs and walks. A big highlight was all the amazing gentle and friendly animals - horses, a donkey, and chickens to name a few which we and our twins enjoyed going to see every morning. We also thought Jocelyn and David were thoughtful hosts and very friendly. We would thoroughly recommend to families or couples. We hope to be back soon! Thank you Jocelyn and David!

Lovely weekend with friends. Beautiful location and the hosts were happy to provide suggestions on where to go etc and were very responsive. The croissants, jams, coffees etc were a lovely addition to our first morning!!🌞 Sue and Robert were also flexible with us leaving the car in the space after check out for a bit so we could go for a walk and make the most of the weather!

The stay at the bothy was incredible, she left us too it and everything was remote which was perfect as it made us feel like it was a home away from home, the privacy was amazing and everything exceeded our expectations, the walks were like nothing else, especially with the horses, cows and donkeys and the views were like nothing else also, there was no issues whatsoever and we got occasional messages to see if we were getting on okay and to reassure us that she was there if any problems arose. We’re definetly planning on coming back here again later on in the year.

We enjoyed our stay at Vine Cottage. The place had a home from home feel, was clean and well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Lovely big towels, fresh white bed linen and comfy beds. The outside area was lovely and we loved the hot tub. Check in/out was straight forward and Gill (and family) were very helpful and responded promptly before and during our stay. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A perfect place for a few days' relaxing, break in an idyllic setting. Amongst the places I've stayed for holidays & short breaks it was one of the best with many thoughtful touches, such as tissues in every room & welcoming bread, eggs & cider from their cider business. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Alison was lovely and communicated quickly and informatively. The cottage is gorgeous with a lovely view of the sky on the decking! Would definitely visit again. Thank you!

We had a nice relaxing break. It was a lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Sally was available for us when we needed anything. The directions she gave made it very easy to find. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

If I could give extra stars beyond the 5 star rating, I really would. Hillary's AirBnB is beautiful, exactly what my wife and I needed and agreed it was one of the best places we've stayed at via AirBnB. Hillary allowed for an early check-in, was really communicative being friendly and helpful whenever we did communicate. Cannot recommend enough!

The address says Jackdaw but it's number 3!! Should have Jackdaw on the front door or just change the listing to number 3!! Other than that, it was a pleasant stay once the boiler was turned on......

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

This is my second stay and Bree was a great host.

This was the most beautiful place to stay for a peaceful and quiet break. The cottage was lovely and clean and exactly as shown in the photos on the site. Clean and well presented and the beds were so comfortable. We have stayed in many cottages and it was a delight to actually sleep in a comfortable bed and sit on comfortable sofas rather than the rock hard beds and dilapidated sofas normally provided in a lot of cottages. Everything was catered for and the cottage was warm and welcoming. The area is stunning and we had lots of places to visit within easy driving distance. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and the dogs enjoyed the large garden as well. We loved it !

Stunning countryside, warm and welcome cottage, great facilities, fireplace, kitchen living rooms all neat and warm design. Great beds, wonderfull bathing towels bath and shower. Super to have stayed in the garden cottage for the second time. Thanks everybody!!

Hazel's beautiful, secluded cottage is everything you need for the perfect peaceful getaway. Set in a gorgeous wood, filled with wildlife and a fun filled treehouse and zipwire and the tranquil lake, this cottage has it all. The location makes it perfect to feel away from it all but with some lovely villages and Salisbury close by as well as being close to the spectacular new forest. Check in was easy and Hazel added some extra little touches that made myself and my boys feel right at home as soon as we stepped through the door. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Lovely retreat, views, quiet and luxurious accommodation. Bare in mind the hot tub is wood fired and is timely. They were great with communication and we stayed longer. Perfect.

One of the best places I've ever stayed. The host laid out age appropriate toys just for my baby girl, the nursery was stunning and all the beautiful vintage toys made it feel magical. The whole property's aesthetic was carefully curated with beautiful furniture, decor and collectables, but also made you feel right at home from the first step inside. The garden was maintained to an impeccable standard and had gorgeous play equipment including the little cottage shed with playhouse set up. Listening to the birds on the morning as light poured into the living room felt heavenly. The host was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole visit, super host status very well deserved. We hope to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away into the countryside.

This home is a real gem.. I can’t fault anything! The place had everything you could need and more.. with lovely extra touches such as a breakfast pack and home made brownies! I came here with two friends and two dogs for four nights and didn’t want to leave. Defo coming back. Thank you Katrin

Wow! We had such a lovely stay. We just wanted to kick back for a few days and rest and this was perfect. Perfect cottage and perfect area. The cottage is immaculately kept and so well equipped with lovely little welcoming touches. Croissants were lovely, as were the Ferrero Rocher! Hosts were excellent. We had a short Wifi outage which made no difference to us but Ashley was quick to update us that they had a supplier issue and would be fixed asap. All in all, we had a lovely time, it felt like home from home. We relaxed, enjoyed the log burner and watched the birds! PERFECT! Thank You!

This is the best Airbnb have had the pleasure of staying in. The place itself was incredible - a lovely cottage space to relax in with the log burner in the evenings, the cowshed kitchen to cook in, and the mega bath! All set within an idyllic location for exploring the nearby scenery and surrounding forest (plus ponies!) Karen was an wonderful host who was super responsive, helpful and friendly. The place was setup with great attention to detail, clear instructions, there was even walk and attractions recommendations. We also really appreciated the many local touches; even the bubble bath was from New Forest Aromatics! We had a magical weekend that will remember fondly and can't recommend this beautiful place highly enough - best of the best!

Scrumpy Cottage was such a peaceful & comfortable place to stay. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, cute little yard to sit out in the sun. Only 1 minute walk to the pub which was friendly & the food was great. Perry’s Cider was less than 5 min stroll thru the village & it had a charming shop & cafe. Good dog walks from the front door of the cottage. We met Andrew & Suzy to say Hi, very friendly, in fact all the locals we met around the village were very friendly. The parking space is slightly away from the cottage but this was not a problem for us at all, literally 30 seconds walk. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The host was extremely responsive and helpful. They offered the option of an earlier check in which suited me perfectly. The place was clean, warm, cosy and in a quiet location, close to where I wanted to explore. It was everything I needed for the trip away. Thanks once again!
