Holiday rentals with a kayak in Western Cape

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has a wonderful layout… allowed for our family to have good quality time together, but also have our own soace. Wonderful that each bedroom had their own bathroom and each room was beautiful! We loved the outside area- the pool and kayaks made for such fun and good memories. Thank you Darren, we are hoping to come back soon 🙂

Having waded through the SAN Parks website to find a place to stay in Addo NP, I stumbled across this place by accident. I am so glad that I did. It's incredible. Although 40mins drive from Addo and slightly off the asphalt highway (only 5km), the place is set in an idealic location which is both peaceful and beautiful. The accommodation itself is stunning; well built and very spacious. Amazing views from the veranda and bedrooms. The host offers a selection of frozen meals (don't be a snob and ignore them - they're delicious) which can be heated in the air fryer. Being odd grid there's no rolling blackouts. Although switch of the lights, light some candles and amaze at the awesome celestial show that the stars without light pollution provides. spread the word, this is a place that should be visited.

What a special spot. We so enjoyed our two night stay at Kerry's house. The dam in the front with the fire pit is beautiful.

The pictures dont do the house justice, because you just cant feel the homely atmosphere you get when you walk in and stay there. We had the most amazing time at the house, and everything we needed was available from food, to entertainment, to a camp cot! An absolute gem and we will be back next year

The venue is beautiful designed so much space with different areas yet not huge. Host was always helpful and responded quickly. We loved the house it was a home

We were a group of 5 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferrybridge House. The setting is beautiful overlooking the river and mountains as was the incredible birdlife while enjoying our morning coffee. The house is spotless, secure and has everything one needs. Stanford village is charming, we walked along the river and had an exceptional supper at Rivergate farm as per your recommendation. we will definitely be back

We planned a riverside getaway with some friends and a boat. House has a lovely deck overlooking the river and floating jetty- we spend many hours there. The house itself is really well suited for a family. It has ample outdoor furniture and deck space to enjoy. The Nespresso machine was a treat. The area is safe and quiet, neighbours are close, but never felt intrusive. The house has access to a well kept slipway- launching a smallish boat with a 4x4 was pretty straight forward. Reaching the house with a 2x4 is possible, but would recommend using a 4x4.

I booked on behalf of my daughter. She highly recommends this place. beautiful views! There is so much to do. The cottage is stunning and has everything you need. I will definitely put this place on my to-do list!

What a place! We enjoyed it so much! Nicholas went out of his way to make our stay there pleasant. From little chocolates to a fridge full of food. ♥️ They where super friendly and welcoming!

If I would be able to give 6 or 7 stars I would. This is the place if you want to explore local nature and see some animals. The cottages are beautiful and you will feel welcome straight away. We spend 3 nights here and went for 4x4 trail with our own car, this was awesome. What we liked most is the host: Steve you are so kind and generous, we would love to come back one day!!! I could write more but I suggest you book it and find out yourself.

Great hosts, that went out of their way to accommodate us. Beautiful surroundings and accommodation was perfect.

It is wonderful: to get up in the morning, one step and you are on the terrace with the beautiful view of the sea and then one step further you are already on the beach: at the beginning of February almost alone! If not the water was so cold! A great place to come down and chill! But no chance without a car! Supermarket, cafes and restaurants are already a few kilometers away. But the restaurant DI SEE KAT in Paternoster is a MUST!

Exceeded expectations - all round excellence

Staying here was an amazing experience! The combination of a treehouse feel with the comforts of a real home was perfect. Everything was very clean, and we were relieved that there were no insects inside the house. The wood-fired hot tub was a highlight, and having it all to ourselves made it even more special. The grill station and outdoor bath were a real adventure – we loved it! Another highlight was the little monkeys that visited in the morning. They kept their distance but curiously watched us, which was such a unique experience. We can truly recommend this place and will definitely come back!

Lorraine’s place is a quaint and charming cottage very close to the beach with its own personality. Lovely setting under the milkwoods and we spent almost all of our time outside. It is well equipped with everything you need for a low key, unfussy stay. It is decorated in her own style with lots of little art pieces and trinkets all of which I feel have their own story. Lorraine was an excellent host - always responsive and helpful. Thanks Lorraine it was great

We had the most lovely stay at Lalapanzi, the cabin exceeded our expectations and the surroundings and views were so beautiful and tranquil! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you to the hosts for your hospitality!

All I can say after staying here is wow! Everything has been so thought out. The place was immaculate and any additional extras were there on site if needed. We enjoyed a paddle while watching the rhino graze nearby. Will be recommending it in the future for friends to stay at for sure!

We had a lovely stay! The cottage is newly renovated and we wished we could have stayed longer. We took a great walk on the premises and even glimpsed the giraffes and zebras on the neighboring property. Lea took some time to explain how she and her husband bought the farm and what her plans are to renovate it even further. Just make sure not to get the smallest rental car - the drive there is definitely easier if there is a bit of space between the ground and the car ;)

This air bnb was magical! I’ve stayed in lots of properties and this one was one my favorites. Such a unique place, great energy and decor and lovely host! We will be back.

We had a great time at this amazing venue. The nature and birdlife surrounding the coffee cabin made it feel super peaceful and relaxing. Just a short distance from the beach with an amazing view of the river. Would highly recommend this accommodation for a relaxing getaway.
