Farmstay holiday rentals in Western Maryland

The Shed was the perfect place to relax and recharge for my family's annual end of year/new year's trip. The house was clean. The main living area was wonderful to unwind and spend quality time. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and the firepit outside. The property was beautiful and especially exciting for our 4 year old and our dog. The location was terrific for our trip to Shenandoah. We also had a great time at Luray Caverns. A pleasant surprise was the walking path through town. We made use of it two of our days. Front Porch coffee was also a convenient frequent spot we visited. All in all, awesome. We hope to return. Thank you and Happy New Year, Rich!

We booked Roger’s place for a last minute weekend ski trip. It was perfect - spacious, clean, and only about 20 minutes from seven springs. Roger was super responsive and made sure we had everything we need. Would definitely return.

The Rock Cottage is a perfect romantic getaway! We enjoyed walking all of the hiking trails and exploring the vast property with our 2 dogs (such a treat when they can vacation with us). The wood burning stove and hot tub were wonderful amenities on the cold weekend. It was an easy drive into Culpepper for a fabulous dinner at Piedmont Steakhouse (pricey but worth it). And, our favorite part was the Pool House/Spa, the pictures do not do it justice. The Steam Room/Sauna/Cold Plunge/Sauna regime was rejuvenating and being able to swim in the deep. vast pool with attached hot tub completed a perfect afternoon. On our way home we drove 15 minutes out of our way to visit the Copper Fox Distillery and adjacent shops in Sperryville - a must if you like craft whiskey. We are looking forward to returning during a warmer season to enjoy even more of what the grounds have to offer. Thank you Connie, Paul, and team for being so responsive and helpful!

Just wonderful! Jimmie and Jacki were warm, welcoming and wealths of information. So glad we chose their place to stay. Even during our quick overnight stay, they invested time to visit with us and show us around. Thought their farm was beautiful even in a dreary season. We can't wait to come back when all is abloom. If you love good people and animals, book it! If you don't, they'll change your mind ;) The way they hosted us exemplifies what all the best of Airbnb is meant to be, I do believe.

Wonderful home. Very close to catochin mtn hiking trails. Very close to town. House was immaculate. We used 3 of the beds and they were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked - we cooked two dinners and 3 breakfasts. Bathrooms were updated and very clean. Lots of towels available. If you’re coming to this area, stay here! We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent stay!! Incredibly beautiful farm and very well thought out glamping experience. Wesley thought out every detail to make staying outside, even in the cold, a positive experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Karen and Mark where excellent host! They had great communication and clear directions. The space itself was peaceful, thoughtful, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. We had a restful stay and left feeling refreshed. The location was absolutely stunning with the fall leafs. A delightful highlight was the neighbor donkeys who were friendly and very sweet!!

We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse over the MLK holiday weekend. The house was very cozy and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with basics, cookware, drink ware, etc. In addition, they brought over a high chair for our toddler upon request. The kitchen was very homey and we ended up spending much of our time there! They quickly responded to our questions and provided lots of helpful info on the surrounding area. The immediate land surrounding the house was great and we are hoping to make it back in the warmer months to really take advantage of the views. There are also so many lovely drives to take nearby, and the town of Luray had a couple great coffee/breakfast places (including one run by the hosts). We highly recommend staying at the farmhouse in any season!

Our family of four had a lovely stay. It was the perfect birthday getaway from the city. The house was cozy, clean, kid safe, and nicely decorated. The grounds and surrounding area are so beautiful, and the house is located close to great restaurants, breweries, the National Park, and other fun things to do. We’ll be back!

My wife and I took our three elementary aged girls to the farm, and we had a wonderful tonight day. They absolutely loved the horses, pigs, goats, and donkeys the walk along the little stream to the Potomac River was very peaceful. Such a cool, unique stay.. Would definitely recommend it to parents with elementary aged kids. Thank you so much, Rita!

While I ultimately didn’t end up staying at this property due to last-minute changes in my travel plans, I still wanted to share my experience with the host. From the moment I booked, the communication was excellent—Emma was incredibly responsive and proactive in addressing any questions I had. They were very accommodating to my requests and flexible with changes in plans, which I truly appreciated. Although I didn’t get to experience the stay firsthand, I can confidently say that the host is thoughtful and professional, and I would definitely consider booking again in the future if my travel plans align.

Amazing place! Really beautiful and will definitely come back to this one. Unbelievable sunrises from the deck looking over the mountain range, hiking during the day, and evenings in the hot tub watching the sun go down. Deer everywhere and even saw a couple of bald eagles. This is a really amazing place. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Tania and Fred were fantastic hosts. It was incredibly windy and crazy weather when we were there and the power got knocked out for a couple hours. They let us know immediately, and promised to stay in touch. We made a great dinner by candlelight in any case and did some proper stargazing from the deck.

We had a great time staying in George’s home. It was spacious, private, and had everything we needed and more, they even left us cookies on the counter when we checked in! The home itself is larger than I expected and has a very unique feel to it. We enjoyed just walking around the house checking out all of the cool decorations and other touches for awhile after putting our things away. The town it’s in is small but cute and has more than I expected. Everything you need and more. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

This was one of the nicest Airbandbs we’ve stayed at. It was very clean, fully stocked kitchen, and even a basket of toys for kids. We will definitely be back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb located at Wheatland Farm and Brewery, and it was an unforgettable experience! The setting was absolutely picturesque, with sprawling fields and a charming rustic ambiance that made us feel right at home. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, featuring all the amenities we could ask for. The cozy farmhouse vibe made it the perfect retreat from city life.

We were looking for a place to peacefully relax with our pups. This was perfect! The yard having been fenced in was an added bonus. We have 2 dogs that are walked on leashes. It was so nice to just open a door, let them play, smell the smells, and enjoy the quiet countryside. They loved watching the cows. The cottage was clean, quaint, and comfortable. The snowfall was beautiful to watch this particular weekend. Matt and Kelly were quick to respond when we had questions about the roads being drivable after about 4 inches of snow. They also let us take our time checking out due to the weather. Absolutely wonderful time. We hope to visit in the fall or spring. Highly recommend this cottage and it’s gracious hosts.

charlie was great. we did have an issue during our stat but he responded immediately and resolved it. he was very friendly. the views are amazing. my kids loved having the animals around. grocery stores within 15 minutes, 15 minutes to the slopes. the house was great bring wood for the stove it works great.
