Chalet holiday rentals in Western North Carolina

We were scheduled to stay at this house for a week, but due to Hurricane Helene, we had to evacuate after three days. For the time we were there, the house was very nice and we greatly enjoyed the large living room area. That was definitely the highlight of the home. We would have liked to explore the area more and utilize some of their recommendations, but unfortunately, that was not possible. Would recommend the house to people looking for a large area for people to gather and talk.

Came for a short weekend trip and it was absolutely as described! The place felt very clean and well taken care of. Host was very helpful and communicative and was willing to reasonably accommodate our worries of traveling during the winter storm that passed through the day of our check-in, luckily we ended up making it! I would absolutely visit this property again.

The place was great for myself and a few buddies to get away for a short weekend. The place was just as advertised. Perfect table for DnD.

Visited Maggie Valley for a snowboarding trip and Mike’s home was the perfect place to come back to after a long day! The hot tub was luxurious and relaxing and the beds were soft and perfect for a good nights sleep! This cozy home was everything we needed for a lazy relaxing weekend with friends. A trip we won’t forget!

I was looking for a place that was quite and secluded. this was the most perfect choice and the price matched as well. the whole experience was just what I was looking for. if I am back in the area again I would definitely reserve it again! I would recommend it again and again to anyone wanting the serenity and peace their looking for.

We really enjoyed our stay at Missy’s place. The home had everything we could have needed and had such a cool cozy vibe. The beds were very comfortable and we stayed busy with local hiking trails and waterfall visits. We also drove up to Bryson City and rode the train through the mountains. The home served as a central location to everything we wanted to do. Very close to the restaurants on Main street and we really loved the BBQ across the street (ate there twice). Admired the talented artists and their work that surrounded us in the home as well. Just some advice to first timers of the Highlands area. The roads are winding and narrow so try to drive in during the day. It’s such a beautiful area. Looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely Amazing Stay! This cabin was everything we hoped for and more! It was immaculately clean from top to bottom. The kitchen was stunning and fully stocked—perfect for family meals. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The bedrooms were super comfortable, and the theater and game room were absolute must-haves for our family—everyone had a blast! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Hosted our annual family get together at this location and it did not dissappoint. Beautiful home and surrounding property. Very quiet and peaceful with very nice hiking trails with elevation on property. Had 5 cars and a motorcycle in our group and had no problem parking. Fire area was very nice and we saw some good sized fish in the pond. Kitchen was well furnished and worked well for our large meals. Grill out back is nice and clean. Used the clubroom for gamenight a few times and had a great time. Love that every room has a balcony, you could lounge on during the morning. All you could hear were the birds or frogs at night. Had to contact the owner about a minor issue and they responded immediately. Highly reccommend this home and these hosts.

The host was very proactive in making sure everything went smooth from the time of check in to the time of checkout. The place was spot on for just a short weekend stay! The pictures didn’t do this place justice. My family & I will definitely be booking again!

We had a fantastic stay at Amanda's home! We booked very last minute after our original reservation was unexpectedly canceled as we were driving in, and Amanda couldn’t have been more accommodating. Communication was prompt, helpful, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The house itself was spotless and clearly well cared for. But the real highlight was the view—absolutely stunning and even better than the photos. It made for the perfect backdrop to a relaxing getaway. We’re grateful to have found this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Gatlinburg. We had some snow and it was so pretty! Kitchen is well stocked, beds are super comfortable, towels are nice. We would definitely stay here again! Archie and Vince were very responsive to questions. Our stay was great!

Amazing location! This chalet is perfectly situated right at the bottom of a blue run, quickly becoming our favorite spot to start our ski days. Beyond skiing convenience, the porch was fantastic for relaxing and enjoying the entertainment provided by skiers—whether pulling off impressive tricks or wiping out spectacularly, both equally fun to watch! The host was outstanding—proactive, highly communicative, and incredibly responsive. The chalet itself comfortably accommodated our family of four (two adults and two kids) and was filled with thoughtful touches: a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of charging outlets, and even sleds in the basement, which the kids absolutely loved. Having seen other rental options nearby, I can confidently say this spot is unmatched for ski-in/out convenience and slope-side entertainment. As an added bonus, we even spotted a bear strolling the slopes! Don't hesitate to book this place—you won’t regret it!

Such a charming spot and gorgeous vintage home! The lower level was so perfect for our kids and for cozy movie night. Bob was an excellent host. We’ll return for sure!

This was our third time staying there. Very neat and clean. Equipped with everything you need. Peacefully serene with the porch and dock to take in the lake. Will definitely be back again!

We absolutely loved this place as a get away for a couples’ weekend so much so that we are planning to return with our children this summer. It’s very homey and has everything you need to disconnect from things and relax. We can’t wait to return!

Luc and Denise were wonderful hosts. When we arrived, Luc showed us around the property and offered other amenities. Denise was so sweet, she brought us a key and chatted for a few minutes. It was so peaceful, and my husband and I enjoyed spending the evenings in the hot tub and relaxing. The photos posted don't do this home justice. It was beautifully decorated and was perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We loved spending time at the chalet. It was a nice, quiet place right on the lake. The location was great, with the amenities of town close by. Our family did a bunch of hiking while enjoying the fall foliage. This was our first time in the Hiawassee area and will be back again!
