Chalet holiday rentals in Western North Carolina

We were scheduled to stay at this house for a week, but due to Hurricane Helene, we had to evacuate after three days. For the time we were there, the house was very nice and we greatly enjoyed the large living room area. That was definitely the highlight of the home. We would have liked to explore the area more and utilize some of their recommendations, but unfortunately, that was not possible. Would recommend the house to people looking for a large area for people to gather and talk.

Peaceful, clean, quiet, and the host is the most responsive person ever. :-) Everything was perfect. I highly recommend Lee and the Gatlinburg Smoky Mountain home.

Came for a short weekend trip and it was absolutely as described! The place felt very clean and well taken care of. Host was very helpful and communicative and was willing to reasonably accommodate our worries of traveling during the winter storm that passed through the day of our check-in, luckily we ended up making it! I would absolutely visit this property again.

Visited Maggie Valley for a snowboarding trip and Mike’s home was the perfect place to come back to after a long day! The hot tub was luxurious and relaxing and the beds were soft and perfect for a good nights sleep! This cozy home was everything we needed for a lazy relaxing weekend with friends. A trip we won’t forget!

The home was beautiful and clean. Stephen was super informative about happenings around town and even gave us a list of things to do & places to see! It was such a pleasant experience all the way around. Thank you!

Tom was extremely responsive any time I reached out to him. The house was spotless when we arrived and has some really great views of the French Broad River as well as some mountains.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, clean, luxurious and spacious chalet in the mountains, this is the place for you! Great view of the Blue ridge mountains from the deck while drinking your morning coffee. Unlike most Airbnb’s, there’s no cameras watching your every move. All rooms have updated smart tv’s and modern decor. Kory is the best hostess. Constantly communicating and making recommendations for things to do. You’re close to Waynesville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as well as downtown Asheville. Great places to visit. Look out for elk on the road—they travel in herds. I totally recommend staying in this house. You won’t be disappointed!

This house is stunning! Beautiful view of the mountains right from the living room window. The kids loved the indoor pool and games. The outdoor living room was just as cozy as the inside. The host provided all the essentials of home and was very helpful with all our questions. We didn't want to leave!

Hosted our annual family get together at this location and it did not dissappoint. Beautiful home and surrounding property. Very quiet and peaceful with very nice hiking trails with elevation on property. Had 5 cars and a motorcycle in our group and had no problem parking. Fire area was very nice and we saw some good sized fish in the pond. Kitchen was well furnished and worked well for our large meals. Grill out back is nice and clean. Used the clubroom for gamenight a few times and had a great time. Love that every room has a balcony, you could lounge on during the morning. All you could hear were the birds or frogs at night. Had to contact the owner about a minor issue and they responded immediately. Highly reccommend this home and these hosts.

This cabin truly exceeded my expectations. The views were absolutely breathtaking—nestled in the mountains, we were treated to stunning landscapes all around. The host was exceptional, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. It was clear they had put a lot of thought into the little things that really made a difference, from providing extra towels to ensuring every detail was covered. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, especially the beds, which made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need, from cookware to utensils. I loved the added touch of a wonderful coffee bar that made each morning even more enjoyable. The host’s attention to detail was evident in every corner of the cabin, and it was clear they wanted guests to feel welcome and relaxed. The drive was scary at first, but 2 cars from Louisiana made it up and down for 5 days like pros. I highly recommend this cabin/host to anyone!

This cabin was astounding! We loved the modern vibe with a breathtaking view. The location is only minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and is privately tucked into the side of the mountain. The interior was spotless and had everything you could need and then some! The amenities were as advertised. We loved the heated pool, sauna, putting green, and pool table. The communication with the owner was seamless and every question was answered before we could ask it. If you’re looking for a mountain get away, Windows to the Mountains is the one for you. We’ll certainly be going back!

Great location near everything but also in a quiet neighborhood. Enough space for a family of 5 to spread out. Host was always very responsive to questions before and during our stay. Hot tub was warmed up and table set when we arrived. No regrets!

This house was perfect for our group—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed and more. The location was great, offering access to the mountains (1h) while still being convenient for other activities. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. This place is a true gem, and the untold treasure of TN that will no doubt explode in popularity when the world discovers it. I mean, WOW!! This place exudes peace, tranquility, and southern charm. You absolutely WILL NOT regret staying here and if you don't, you're missing the best part of your vacation! Definitely Definitely rent the boat and go exploring! The host has poured so much into making this place an amazing experience! It's close to everything, yet feels so far from reality. UT and the mountains are a quick drive, and Definitely check out The Walnut Kitchen for dinner! I can't say enough about this place and how amazing it is! Such a charming spot and gorgeous vintage home! The lower level was so perfect for our kids and for cozy movie night. Bob was an excellent host. We’ll return for sure!

The only bad review I read on here was the goose droppings , so that's gotta tell you how AMAZING this place is. Super Close to the strip at Pigeon Forge but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The river that runs by is relaxing and I loved the geese! Sitting on the screened in porch in the rocking chairs with a cup of coffee was as close to heaven as I believe I'll ever get.

This was our third time staying there. Very neat and clean. Equipped with everything you need. Peacefully serene with the porch and dock to take in the lake. Will definitely be back again!

We loved spending time at the chalet. It was a nice, quiet place right on the lake. The location was great, with the amenities of town close by. Our family did a bunch of hiking while enjoying the fall foliage. This was our first time in the Hiawassee area and will be back again!

My family enjoyed our stay at the chalet and the gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. Our hosts provided everything you could need for a vacation at the lake, and it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to the action. Unfortunately the flooding from Hurricane Helene prevented us from swimming or kayaking but we enjoyed the property and it was not far from the activity on the Parkway. We hope to return to enjoy the lake with friends next summer!

We absolutely loved this place as a get away for a couples’ weekend so much so that we are planning to return with our children this summer. It’s very homey and has everything you need to disconnect from things and relax. We can’t wait to return!
