Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Whakatane District

Loved Melanie’s beautiful place. So many wonderful pieces from lovely bed linens to chic sofas and comfy chairs. Everything we needed was supplied for us from a well equipped kitchen and bathroom to plenty of hangers in the wardrobes! The sliding doors opening onto the deck create such an amazing space to enjoy the sunshine and views. Melanie was so welcoming and answered any communications quickly. Would thoroughly recommend a stay in this delightful home.

Our family of 2 adults and 4 teenagers stayed here after an overnight tramp- Edward’s place was 5 star luxury!! The shower is awesome, there’s a washing machine and dryer, a SMEG dishwasher, SMEG oven and a fridge that makes ice! All the appliances and fittings are high-quality. Everything feels really nice. Lovely beds and linen. Awesome view from the deck. Essentials like oil, vinegar, tea, coffee and coffee plunger are in the well kitted out kitchen. We enjoyed cooking a hearty meal playing cards and watching a movie. It is minutes from Lake Waikaremoana great walk start or finish- perfect location.!

You know when you walk in to an air BnB and you instantly feel at ease and like you’re going to have the best weekend because of the place you get to sleep is perfect, this is how I felt stepping into Raewyn and Rod’s property. It was clean to absolute perfection, the bathroom was really cool, the beds were great - comfortable as and the granola, as per other reviews was fab! The home made peaches were however my favourite and my dad loved the plum jam! It’s peaceful with a great view and ambient outdoor areas to soak up some sun. In walking distance from a cute coffee spot and the pub was great for food. My dad and I had the best weekend and we couldn’t be more grateful for our stay and highly recommend.

What a great place to stay! Lush gardens, pretty house, heaps of room for the kids and everything we needed. The local area has plenty to do. We stayed 2 weeks and it wasn't long enough.

An idyllic rural base for exploring the area. Marlene welcomed us with home grown produce and ideas of what to do. All very safe and relaxed. Short drives to fabulous forests trails and thermal pools

Perfect for our family of 6. The house was beautifully clean and tidy with lovely linen and sheets in a quiet neighbourhood. Jenny had left tea & coffee and breakfast foods for us which was a lovely surprise! Definitely recommended😊

We had a great stay at Debbie and Mark's Treehouse. The house is very spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and private; quite separate from the host house and you feel like you have the place to yourself. Excellent hosts who have thought of everything; all the mod cons (excellent stove/oven etc) without being overly precious or fussy. The house and surrounds are as shown in the photos; beautiful established planting and gardens and so much bird life. The deck, pool and clawfoot bath all add to the generally relaxing vibe. Comfortable beds, and generous with the linen, towels and other comforts. Clear instructions, convenient check-in, helpful hosts; Mark took a look at my car when I couldn't get it started and rang the mechanic for me. The location is about 13 km from Whakatane and there is a shop, liquor store, garage and coffee cart a couple of minutes walk away. Everything else is an easy drive. Highly recommended stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The place is located on a elevated spot above Whakatane with breathtaking views! Lorraine was extremely accommodating and making us feel like home! The place is very spacious with more than enough space for our group of six adults and two kids - they even had a kids toy box! Thank you!
