John Adams and a veteran who served in the Allied occupation of Japan following WWII. Going further back, this was one of the first areas to be settled. It was part of the "Sims Settlement" and was defended during the War of 1812 by James and William Slaughter. Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.
