What a gem, a beautiful spot and so peaceful. Nothing was too much trouble and any issues were resolved within minutes. Even when we were snowed in for two days we were offered food, entertainment, even snow shoes! Luckily we had everything we needed but to know it was there was a comfort. Cindy was great at recommending places to visit, hiking spots even great food places. This was place just stunning in the snow and rain, I can only imagine what it would be like in the summer as there were so many seating options overlooking the river. We will be back one day

What a beautiful retreat! Hidden behind a Thousand Trails campground, the property feels like it’s miles away from civilization (in the best way). It is quiet, serene, private, and expansive. LOADS of room for the dogs to run, private access to the river, and a trail that leads to the Wildwood Recreational Area. 10/10 this place delivers.

We enjoyed a mini-family reunion and skied Mt Hood. Our son, the chef, was positively impressed with the kitchen layout and tools available. The hot tub outside was delightful. The roaring river, sights and sound really made this place wonderful.

This little place was really lovely! The kitchen was clean and well appointed, the bed in the main bedroom was comfy cozy and the hot tub was a delight! I especially enjoyed the view from the kitchen window, so pretty!

What a place! The best part of the stay was being in such a serene setting. The cabin did the job. The outdoor showers overlooking the river were amazing, and we enjoyed the sauna too. As others mentioned, our cell provider doesn't cover the area, and we could only get wifi from Steve's home if we held the phone in particular spots (or walked 50 feet toward his house). This was actually a big plus, as it helped everyone in our group set down the phones, unplug, and be present in nature. Loved it!

A really quiet, secluded spot without any nearby neighbors. There is workshop next door that we heard people in on occasion, but otherwise there were hardly even any cars that drove by. The house itself looks even nicer than the photos, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. It is definitely a bit older and dated, but we absolutely loved it, and the beds were super comfortable. We had a great stay and would come back anytime!

This house was great! It's in a beautiful setting, with a great hot tub by the river, has a well stocked kitchen, a fireplace and lots of games to pass the time. We went skiing at Meadows, and the drive was about 45 minutes, so not too bad. I like that it's pet friendly with a fenced in backyard for our dog to run around in. There is even a projector/theater that our kids thoroughly enjoyed! We would definitely stay here again.

What a great stay. It was peaceful and just what we needed to unwind. Google maps sent us to a park behind the property, but it was easy to find despite the confusion.

Super cozy! It was snowing when we came in and Randy was so sweet to clear out the stairs and driveway for us! It feels like home and super private like an apartment. Really enjoyed it and would definitely come back! Thanks Randy!

Chris’s home was super comfortable with well stocked kitchen and anything you’d need for a getaway. The setting by the river is magical- we saw bald eagles and other waterfowl even in midwinter! Imagine relaxing in the hot tub after a day of snow sports with a view of the river. It’s a perfect spot to get you away from the rat race for a little while! We hope to check it out in warmer weather soon

From the very begining our host was responsible, thoughtful & guest focused. My wife & I have owner, managed & run a property management firm for the last 30 years……this host knows customer service! We were so impressed by the intricate details & súbtle offerings that made this home special. The decor is beautiful, the beds comfortable, the linens…..every aspect…..very well thought out. Not to mention an incredible location right on the river. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Had a great time with my family at this place. I had initially thought that we'd be too close to the city to feel like it was an actual getaway, but I felt more than enough privacy and seclusion from the city despite its location. The place felt gigantic, It was amusing going through the doors and discovering more of the house. We enjoyed all the areas available to us. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and more. We cooked plenty on our trip, and we did have a bit of difficulty cooking as some of the pots and pans have seen better days, but still made it work. Our only mishaps was that the coffee maker was dirty when we arrived, which is no big gripe, and one of the toilets seems to need maintenance for flushing properly, but it was a minor inconvenience. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and well stocked, as were all the other areas. Overall my family loved our stay here and will have wonderful memories of our time in this property. Highly recommended place !

We stayed for a winter weekend, and it was magical. There were several couples, and it was the perfect place to hang out and relax while also being close to snow activities for us that wanted to ski/hike nearby. We hope to come and visit during the summer to see all the land has to offer. I definitely recommend it for those looking for a weekend getaway that is close to Portland.
