Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Yellowknife

Sasha’s place was a fabulous place to stay in Yellowknife! We very much enjoyed the warm, cozy atmosphere, the little extras like the book of recommendations for places to eat and things to do, the tourist-y brochures, and the basket of books. The bed was comfortable, the shower water was hot and the pressure was just right. The kitchen had all the little amenities we needed and the nespresso machine was definitely a treat. Thank you Sasha and family for sharing such a lovely space with us! Highly recommend for anybody who comes to Yellowknife. There’s enough to do in the area that is walking distance (even in the snow) that you don’t need a car. We did rent one because we like to get out and explore at our leisure.

Aurora Oasis was a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable, well furnished, and stylish. The deck allows guests to overlook the lake and get some incredible night time views of the sky. Its a walkable neighborhood with access down to the lake. We visited in March and the lake had a walking path around it and we could have walked to the museum. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The beds were very comfortable, particularly after staying up late to view the night sky. Lindsay was very response to questions and a great host. We really enjoyed our time in Yellowknife and having a wonderful place to stay was one of the main reasons. I would certainly recommend Aurora Oasis for someone visiting Yellowknife.

The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults. So spacious and comfortable which is needed for winter time. Loved the personal touches with the bottled water by the bed and bathroom amenities. Oh and the heated floors were amazing! Kitchen well stocked - the house had everything! We were close enough to walk to Old Town. And we got home so late from Aurora Lights tour and hungry so it’s nice the pizza place just next door was open until 3a. Great stay and highly recommend!

Beautiful home, well equipped and comfortable. Variety of pillows on each bed was a nice touch. Nice quiet neighborhood. Leonard was very responsive in our brief chats. Would certainly stay again.

Isis and Shea were such amazing hosts! Super friendly and were a great resource for things to do around Yellowknife . The unit was comfortable and had everything you needed with the most spectacular view of the lake . Can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay in Yellowknife! RJ’s place was the perfect hub for our Aurora hunt…although I’m not sure hunt is the right word to use since we could see them every night of our 7 night stay…many times right outside the window! Yellowknife definitely delivers on their claim of being the best place to see the aurora. The house itself was just what we needed…comfortable beds, great kitchen, and a nice, warm place to chill while we waited for it to get dark. It was close to all major shopping, as well as the Dettah ice road and Ingraham Trail. RJ was also super accommodating when we needed to plug in our rental car due to the cold. If we are ever in the Yellowknife area in the future, we would happily stay here again.

Great cozy stay. Loved the complimentary slippers. House was filled with plenty of housewares. Bonus comfy bed.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apt with a great view from living room and kitchen. Only downside in winter is we are unable to access the balcony and bbq. Spotlessly clean Good restaurants in close proximity. But not for breakfast. Bullocks for fresh fish!!! Use the bus system for groceries, easy access and cheap. $2.00 Aurora viewed every night from Apt. When I sent a note to Tamar about some ice forming on walkway, a pail of ice melter appeared very quickly. You can walk into town, 2.5 to 3kms but the transit was easier. This is the only place to stay in Yellowknife!!
