Luxury room with Mountain, River View in Kalimpong

AnubhavRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Tucked away in the hills, Relaimi Homestay was a peaceful retreat for my wife and me. From the moment we arrived, Sujata and Nischal welcomed us with warmth and generosity, making us feel instantly at home. The homestay itself was cozy and charming, with large windows opening to misty mountains. A highlight of our stay was Sujata’s incredible home-cooked meals. Her chicken momos, served with tangy chutney, were unforgettable. The Nepali thali—dal, bhaat, vegetables, and achaar—was wholesome and comforting. If you love mountain air, meaningful conversations, and soulful home-cooked meals, Relaimi Homestay is the perfect escape, it offers more than just a stay—it’s an experience that stays with you. Infact we booked the stay only for 3 days and then extended to another 2 days and we can’t wait to return here again.

Kelong's Bamboo House

SrijitRating, 5 stars34 months ago
If there ever was a paradise lost, never fret because you'll find it again here. A home away from home nestled amidst pristine pine and fern canopy hugged by the mountains - Rabten and his warm family made every bit of our stay in kalimpong a moment to cherish. We were properly spoiled with cooked food (sumptuous), spacious beds and copious rooms, a view to behold, misty mountain weather that transported us to a fantasy novel, a brilliant hall room to congregate and singalong. Rabten personally ensured we had all the right contacts and logistics sorted out for our sight seeing and transport. Rabten's mum was extremely generous to us, and kind. His crew were engaging and always available to help and assist. I would strongly recommend the homestay, and we definitely made friends here whom we want to visit again, soon!

Mountainlore Vacation Home (Bakshila)

RajarshiRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This is the first time I booked an Airbnb inside India. Honestly I did not expect much but the experience was easily comparable to an international reservation. The place was clean, had a great view, the host(s) are ever so friendly. Just to mention hosting us is not that easy, we have two elderlies and an infant who finds it as the greatest joy in creating chaos. However, we felt right at home. Pranim had been very easy to communicate with. Anuj and Rajeev and their family had been a great host. We have become friends during the stay. Aunty cooked meals for us, which were delicious. As we are not climbers, plain townfolks, they always connected and arranged cars whenever we felt the urge to go out. Finally, I would say this is a great spot for staycation with family and friends. Private place, quite neighbourhood. I would love to visit again and would definitely recommend the place to friends and family

What an amazing stay, we couldn’t have wished for a more secluded and private week. The food was amazing and we were completely taken care of. The rooms were spacious, the food was delicious and we loved playing badminton out in the garden. We cannot thank you enough for such a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone considering of staying at La Ipsing.

Cozy accommodation in Kalimpong within town limits

LawrenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Pravesh's place is wonderful and deserving of a 6-star rating! The location is a short uphill walk from the main Street and the garden is heavenly with wonderful views over the town and looking out towards the mountains. The room is immaculate and is furnished simply and beautifully. It was wonderful to eat breakfast in the garden, and there is an option to have a superb home-cooked meal in the evening. Communication before and during our stay was quick and clear, and the family went out of their way to be friendly and helpful with suggestions. We loved our stay there and I would strongly recommend this delightful place to anyone staying in Kalimpong.

Daarapari - The art of Slow Living

TanmayRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Sristi's mud house is straight out of a fairy tale - magical , mystical and dreamy. Highly recommend it to someone looking to live a slow life in hinterlands. The house is built with a lot of care and thought. The artefacts of bamboo and wood give it an earthy charm. One can spend hours here with nature - the surrounding forest sounds , clear night sky and village / farm walks rekindled our spirits. Sristi herself and her family are very warm and welcoming. The food they cook on a wood fired cookstove is simple and delicious. Thanks for everything Sristi , including the small picnic at the river. PS - don't forget to ask for Shimpu Guras wine prepared from Rhododendron!

Charming A-Frame Retreat

HansatanuRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Nehal's homestay is a wonderful getaway for anyone wishing to stay off the crowded streets of Darjeeling. The area is rural, quiet and has its charms for anyone willing to sit back and explore. Mr. & Mrs. Gurung, Nehal's parents, were exceptionally nice to us. From delicious homecooked meals to doting us like their own children, we had a great time. We met the extended family who were over for New year's party, and the cultural exchanges and stories were a treat. Accessibility might be an issue for those reluctant to trek uphill. The property itself is fresh and clean, and offers a gorgeous panoramic view of the hills. Overall, it's a nice stay worth the money, and I'd recommend the hosts strongly for their patience, love & wonderful hospitality.
