Beachfront holiday rentals in Afon Mawddach

The Nest had been one of our best holidays, would definitely go back again; host have been absolutely brilliant, attentive and communicated honestly and effectively. There was an issue upon arrival caused by previous guests; however the host handled it well, and offered to rectify everything we needed to our satisfaction! All amenities as promised, high quality and hot water worked really well considering the remote location. I asked for recommendations for a spa day and Helen was very helpful and prompt in answering us. The only slightest thing to be aware of which we didn’t realise prior to booking was that there is quite a steep climb to get to the nest, little slippy in parts this time of year. This was communicated to us in the welcome pack, as mentioned before; Helen is very attentive to their guests. Views are spectacular, and there is lots of awesome places to walk to along the beach, like Ty Coch and Caffi Ni; when tide is low. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing, home from home! The house was spotless, warm and in a fabulous location. The coastal walks from the door were some of the best and the locals were very friendly. The kitchen was very well equipped and there's plenty of excellent places to eat lunch and dinner. Patrica was very helpful with local reccomendations. The garden would be lovely to relax in when better weather. We'd love to return and can highly recommend to anyone considering booking.

Fabulous location and especially for winter holiday so whatever the weather we could enjoy the view and the sound of the sea. We enjoyed visiting the north of the peninsular and the Ty Coch Inn and also walking along the coast path around the end of the peninsular. We did swim in the sea right outside the apartment. In the summer it would be amazing to be able to swim right from the door. Apartment was a cosy and relaxing place to stay and th kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Everyone loved staying here!

Wonderful time. The property was exactly as expected and Lisa couldn’t do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Lisa, will definitely come back.

Beautiful location for wonderful property. Our family enjoyed walks on the beach and coastal path straight from the front door - returning to our airbnb property to get cosy and look out of the window. Probably the best appointed property we’ve were stayed in. Will definitely return if we can!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was as described and as it looks in the pictures. Being so close to the beach made it easy to pop to the beach for shell collecting, sandcastle building and dog walking as often as we wanted to. Emails from the host throughout to check our stay was going well, which was reassuring. A detailed welcome manual is in the home with every answer to any questions you may have. Also provided is a first aid kit, milk, bread, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and cake! All very welcome as it saved us a shop visit and the first aid kit is great to have with little ones. Having an apartment directly above was no issue. The only time you hear anyone is when they are walking down the stairs outside of the apartment door and along the corridor to exit. But, we only heard this twice. Once in the evening (a reasonable time of 8/9pm) and again around 8am. I highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. The property was more spacious than I anticipated (always a nice surprise), a lot of effort has gone into making the place feel warm and welcoming. We stayed for 4 nights but could easily have stayed longer. We stayed with a dog, so the side entrance into the utility space was perfect! Helped keep everything nice and clean during our stay. The views are stunning! The second floor lounge was a lovely space to enjoy the estuary and all the bird life from. The sunrise over the mountains out the back of the property were stunning too! We did one of the walks noted in the welcome pack along the coastal path to Dinas Beach via Caernarfon airport. There is a nice cafe (dog friendly) which does a great lunch or tea break if you need a pitstop. Would love to stay again, maybe at a different time of the year with longer daylight hours so we can make more of the stunning scenery.

Another wonderful break at The Lookout. We stayed in the Lower Deck apartment this time which was perfect for the two of us. Spotlessly clean, great shower and very comfy bed! Amazing views out to sea and everything you need just on your doorstep. The hosts provide you with a parking permit for your stay so that you can park literally opposite the apartment, so very convenient. Excellent communication from the hosts, Jules and Lisa, from the minute we booked until check out. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at The Lookout and can’t wait to return again. lovely chalet in a great location for hiking and popping around the headland to check out Aberystwyth. Has all you need for a few nights stay.

Very easy check-in via Park Security with no issues. Found the Lodge with little difficulty and we were delighted with the property. The lodge is spacious and extremely comfortable. Quality furnishings and fixtures throughout. The deck was terrific, it was so quiet and peaceful and you barely saw or heard anything from the surrounding area. Simon couldn’t have been more helpful and responded so quickly to any queries we had. We were blessed with a few sunny days at the end of our stay that made it perfect.

Tracey the host was very responsive, friendly and helpful!! The accommodation was really clean, nice furniture and has a home from home feel! If visiting I highly recommend a trip to the Snowdonia national park and a trip up Snowdon, breathtaking.

Beautiful place to stay, with fantastic views of the bay. Easily walkable to the on site facilities, which were very good. Very well equipped property, with everything you need for a peaceful break away.

A beautiful spacious caravan. Everything you could need available. Very dog friendly as we have two big dogs. The decking and gate really handy particularly if have dog(s) as not stepping straight outside.

Great place to stay for Snowdonia national park, beaches and Portmeireon. Quiet time of year for our stay. Well stocked kitchen and great instructions for bathroom use.

We really enjoyed that place. Especially my kid loved that place and he kept name as a magic house for that lounge.

A lovely spot. I love sea swimming, and as the flat was just metres from the sea, I was in paradise. Beautiful views of Cardigan Bay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Diane’s place. The views were stunning and it was very peaceful. We were lucky with the weather during our stay, so made the most of the balcony. The house was spotlessly clean, was furnished nicely and the bathroom was gorgeous. This house is a perfect location for seeing other places in North Wales! We hope to visit again one day!

Our third festive stay. We love this place. Perfect for hosting family who live locally. Lots of communal space and space to spread out. Fabulous to stay in a place with such a well equipped kitchen too particularly at Xmas. Thank you.

My family and I had a lovely stay! What a gorgeous home! So clean and modern. A short walk to the beach and short drives to other local areas. We stayed for Christmas and there was a Christmas tree set up in the lounge for us, along with a bottle of wine & treats for my dog. On Christmas even the host was kind enough to deliver us a parcel of items including bread, butter, milk, chocolate etc - what a lovely touch! Thank you for having us & we cannot wait to be back! Staying at Is-y-Mynydd was a peaceful and beautiful experience. Having coffee on the deck, watching the mountains behind the beach in the morning and seeing (&hearing) a beautiful murmuration of starlings at sunset made the respite all the more serene. The local town Criccieth is a wonderful visit, especially a tub of red cherry sorbet at Cadalawar’s ice cream shop and followed by learning about the history of the castle. An easy route to Abersoch, with wonderful eateries such as Zinc and pizza at The Hub. Andy and Kay provided lots of information, including nearby places of interest which helped us find some hidden gems, such as Ceiriad Beach. The surprise of a birthday banner, cupcakes and Prosecco were also a wonderful addition to the trip and made the hot tub all the more luxurious as we clinked (plastic) glasses to celebrate. A truly spectacular stay. P.s. frying chorizo may set off the fire alarm multiple times, don’t ask how we know (sorry!) We can’t wait to return.

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful apartment for 4 days. My only regret is I couldn’t have stayed longer. Highly recommended. Thanks Mike.

The cottage was right by the beach with lovely big views from the conservatory. It was fully equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the walk over the cliff to the funicular into Aberystwyth. The caravan site is quite close, but the house was quiet and had its own garden space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Debbie.

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay! We’ve had such a lovely relaxing break. The views from the house are amazing, even better than the photos, and only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Abersoch and to the beach. The house is spacious, well equipped and spotless- thank you so much Elizabeth!

The place was magical and knew I’d miss it before I even left. The location on the estuary is so dreamy. Walkable to Barmouth for supplies. The place felt incredibly private. Really enjoyed slowing down the pace of life and always pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view from the living room. Lovely bunch of flowers on arrival and plenty of logs for the wood burning stove.
