Holiday rentals in Allamakee County

The Bunkhouse was an awesome stay for three of us and my dog! We were looking for a scenic getaway and this was the perfect spot. The place was simple and comfortable, the Ferryville/Lansing area is gorgeous, and Jill was super helpful in recommending some local spots for food and exploring. Probably the nicest house in Harper’s Ferry. Located on a beautiful piece of property. Will book again if I make it back to NE Iowa.

The location and cabin are both beautiful! We really enjoyed the view and the cabin overall. Mike was very easy to communicate with so that was nice as well. The beds and floors were quite squeaky and there was a very mild, strange smell around the house that we were told might be from the hard rain we had prior to coming and it's affect on the septic. It wasn't terrible but we did notice it. Otherwise it was great!

We booked this space to host a family xmas gathering. It ended up being the best gathering we've had in years thanks to the ample rooms, a big kitchen where we could all prep food and gather together, and plenty of places to sit and relax, play games, chat, etc. The xmas decorations that were up when we arrived were beautiful and added to our experience. Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts! We will definitely consider coming here again.

This is an eclectic unique space. Full of antiques and novel items. Downtown Ferryville. A quiet yet bustling little slow spot on Hwy 35, "the great river road". I will be back again. If you want fancy then move on. If you wanna step back in time, then this is the place. Comfy beds, enough of a kitchen to get by. Nice bathroom. A view that is just wonderful. The train in 40 yards away. That was an added bonus if you love trains. Give it a try. I think you will be entrigued as much as I was.
