This amazing lodge is exactly what you need for an unplugged getaway from your busy fast-paced lives. This acreage is right off a hard surface road outside Dorchester IA. Thousands of acres of public ground within minutes for hiking, hunting, and trout fishing. Upper Iowa River down the road for kayaking/tubing and the Mississippi River less than 20 min. Nothing says kick back and relax like a wrap around deck, wood burning stove, fire pit, grilling, pool, hot tub, and the famous NE IA bluffs!

Whitetail Ridge is a charming 3 bed/2 bath cabin with an outdoor jacuzzi, wood burning fireplace/stove and large swimming pond. The cabin is located on a ridge bordering thousands of acres of the Yellow River Forest on the northwestern edge. Sit out on the deck with outdoor table and chairs, take a soak in the hot tub and cook using the barbecue gas grill. Freely hike the miles of trails in the Yellow River Forest surrounding the cabin. In the evenings enjoy a fire outside around the firepit.

Updated 3 bedroom and 2 bath home with views from balcony or the screened in porch with access from the master bedroom. Covered balcony and concrete beneath the entire property for lounging or activities. 30 mins from Lansing, Prairie Du Chien, Marquette, and Waukon. Also including the parks Pikes Peak, Spook Cave, and Yellow River Forest. Awesome for boating, fishing, and duck/goose hunting.

Hickory Hilltop View

Beautiful views of Northeast Iowa's Driftless Area. This house is located in a hickory grove on top of a scenic location just off a hard surface road; centrally located between Waukon, Lansing and New Albin, Iowa. Our rental property is the upper level of a 2 level home, with 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. The lower level is currently occupied by a tenant. Our relaxing hot tub is located on the lower deck with a beautiful view of the valley, and has privacy curtains.

Secluded log cabin with hot tub

Whether you enjoy the solitude of the quiet valley, relish listening to babbling brook that you drove through on your way into the property, or are relaxing in the hot tub, this private cabin is the best getaway in the Driftless Area. While this is a new listing, we have been renting out our cabin since 2015 with excellent reviews & many repeat visitors. It's our only rental property and it's where we love to spend our quiet time.
