Holiday rentals with a kayak in Alto Alentejo

Really great experience and an awesome place to stay. highly recommend

The stay at Helena's was extraordinary. The house was perfect for us and the dog. The orchards, fenced yard, private parking, fully equipted kitchen and bath and air conditioning made the stay incredible. To top it off, Helena provided a kitchen stocked with eggs, fruit, cereals, jams, breads, drinks, pastries, yougarts, cheeses, coldcuts, and water. Soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, toilet paper, and shampoo were all provided. Ample linens, towels and blankets. She and her son met us on arrival, and walked us through the entire property. They could not have been more delightful. Definitely 10/10 rating. The only thing that would have been better, would be to come in the summer and enjoy the pool.

Very charming and charismatic. The decoration was peculiar and interesting. The house was as described. Interesting sleeping arrangements, that badge the house fun.

Rui’s place is fantastic!! The pictures do not do it justice. It is huge, and beautifully maintained. The AC works incredibly well, which was very helpful since it was about 100° while we were there. There was street parking available right outside of the door, and the rooftop upstairs allowed for a beautiful sunset viewing!

We loved the stay. It is possible to have peace and fun at the same time through contact with nature, whether through the beautiful landscape or even the dam. André is extremely attentive and Montezinho has everything a guest needs to enjoy their stay. All the items in the house are extremely tasteful, which allowed us to feel at home.

Our group of 13 had an incredible time at this lakeside house! The accommodations were super comfortable, providing ample space for all of us. The highlight was definitely the fantastic outdoor area, perfect for group gatherings and relaxation. Nuno, the host, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. We took advantage of the boat rental for water sports like skiing, wakeboarding, and wakesurfing, and it was an absolute blast. Nuno's expertise and equipment made it all possible, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're looking for a lakeside retreat with a fantastic host and plenty of fun activities, this is the place to be. Our group had a fantastic time, and we can't wait to come back for more adventures by the lake!

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.
