I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful duplex bungalow called BIROTI, nestled in the serene Aamar Bari. Although it’s about 5 km from the bustling center, the peaceful surroundings, adorned with blooming flowers, truly make it a hidden gem. The bungalow itself felt like a safe haven, beautifully decorated and inviting. It features two cozy bedrooms, each with its own adjacent bathroom. The first floor boasts two lovely balconies—one that overlooks the charming front yard and the other that opens up to a picturesque view of the backyard and endless farms. While I adored every aspect of the place, I did notice that a little extra dusting would enhance the overall experience, as it felt a tad dusty in some areas. One of the highlights for me was the backyard, where we got a bonfire arranged that created a warm, magical atmosphere on a chilly winter night. Eight of us went to Perch, Goalpara in Shantiniketan. A peaceful, well maintained 2 storey homestay amidst beautiful nature. Mahua is a great host and Debnarayan, Shibani and their family took great care of us. Food prepared fresh on “matir unun with kather jaal” was delicious. We plan to re visit soon!

The property was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Subrato’s thoughtful hospitality and Mary’s attentive service made this visit truly memorable. I highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Santiniketan and look forward to returning soon!

I had a fantastic experience staying at Sreemati. It's an ideal retreat for both family and friends, offering a perfect blend of modern and traditional culture. If you're looking for a homestay that truly captures this balance, you should definitely give it a try, you'll fall in love with this place. Located slightly away from the city, it provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Having traveled extensively and experienced numerous homestays, I can confidently say that Sreemati is among the best in the region. No matter how hard you try to find flaws, you simply won’t. Additionally, the caretaker, Shyamal, is an exceptional host who ensures your stay is comfortable with his warm hospitality and care.

One could say that we wanted a “marriage detox” trip in a way and ‘Dui Pakhi’ seemed to be an obvious choice. Not only was Ujjaini extremely accommodative but also culturally aware about the lesser known historically relevant sites. Moreover, both Richa and I loved the room and the verandah outside as it suited our aesthetic sensibilities. Lastly, a simple statement like “this is not a hotel but a homestay” coupled with her social connections made travelling around Shantiniketan a pleasurable experience. Definitely the place to be ! :)

Staying at Siddhartha’s property was a truly delightful experience. Siddhartha and his brother are exceptional hosts who go out of their way to make you feel right at home. The house is immaculate and comes with all the necessary amenities, and the beautiful balcony with its scenic surroundings offers a perfect spot to relax. I was especially touched by their kindness when they helped me with medicines during a bout of cough and cold. Nestled in a peaceful, quiet area of Bolpur, this property is an ideal retreat for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Although the kitchen could benefit from a few additional basic amenities for cooking, Siddhartha’s prompt responsiveness and willingness to arrange anything you need truly make up for it. Highly recommended for a serene and welcoming getaway!
