Cottage holiday rentals in Big Bear Lake

Hi, We had a great time at storybook cottage. Everything was excellent. Only have one comment. We would have like to use the spa. We attempted twice to turn it on and get it warm up. But we’re unsuccessful. The first day, we turned it on too late. Didn’t realize it takes hours to warm up. Second night we turn it on early in the day allowing it to warm up for about 5 hours. When we realize it turned off and water was still the same temperature. I think you should check the spa. We were looking forward to using it. Not our luck! Best, Janessa S.

Wow, one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. The 70s vibes were perfect. We loved the record player, we loved the macrame and vintage instruments- decor was on point! We watched the sunset from the hot tub and then gazed at the stars. We grilled! Less than 30 from Joshua tree and 29 palms- it was perfect to be secluded like that. Just a magical place to stay!

We had a lovely stay! The location was really nice and close to everything. The best part was the hot tub after a cold day tubbing with the kids.. Great price, great location, had a great a time.

Staying at the Cozy Cottage was an amazing experience! I booked the cabin for a weekend trip as a Valentine’s Day present, and our stay there was perfect. Mary Ann & Chuck were both very helpful, they guided us to an alternate route to the cabin to avoid an icy/snowy hill, and made sure we got there okay. As far as the cabin itself goes, there’s really nothing bad to say. The heaters upstairs and downstairs work great, and they work fast. You don’t need to go above 68° to really feel warm. The water pressure & heat in the shower is great, the bathroom’s immaculately clean, and very well-themed! The master bedroom is also very well put together. Everything is labeled, but non-obstructively; you only see them when you need them! We made sure to follow the guide & instructions in welcome packet & introductory e-mail, and we had no questions. Check-out was very flexible, and the amenities are amazing. Make sure to sign the guest book if you visit :) 10/10!!

Such a beautiful, cozy cottage. Just as described, fully stocked kitchen, linens, towels and very comfortable beds. Beautiful setting with a lovely view, very private with access to the hot tub and pool. On sight massage and other spa treatments if you so choose were an incredible bonus. Kristin is very kind and professional. You will not be disappointed.

This is truly a hidden gem, nestled into the beautiful boulder dessert landscape. The home is inviting and warm, the atmosphere is relaxing and the fire pit, rocking chairs, sun loungers and hot tub offer endless opportunities to soak in the surroundings from sunrise to sunset. Our host provided clear and prompt communication, which made our check-in very easy. The home provides a lot of small details, that might be missed, but truly makes our stay comfortable. I’d highly recommend this property!

The Calipe cottage was cozy and convenient not far from plenty of restaurants and activities gave us the mountain feel for sure! We did travel with our 2 year old and they provided little toys for him and books which was cute the only thing was that after dark it was really hard to see outside or to be outside spa light was a small red light which made it kinda scary for us to be outside to enjoy the hot tub but if you love peace and quiet and mountain feel you will for sure love it ! The bathroom is cute and small but my husband is big and bulky and in picture it did look bigger than what it actually was. Host was super quick in responding which was great we didn’t have any issues and all questions were answered quickly! Thank you for having us 🙏🏼

This listing had to of been one of the most coziest and relaxing! The beds and couches made us feel right at home. The views were absolutely beautiful and the vintage decor was stunning. Melissa was very friendly and very helpful. Would love to come back for another stay with the kids! Would absolutely recommend to anyone that needs a getaway for relaxing and down time. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The place is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like you are in the middle of the forest . Is small but just enough for a couple and has all you need. The view is breathtaking and the sunrise is incredible.Lisa made our stay very memorable. We will come back

The host goes out of her way to accommodate anything you could possibly need or even desire! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that no detail was overlooked in making this a comfortable and accessible home. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this ADA-compliant house. The house is thoughtfully designed with a lower-level bedroom with a lift, an accessible bathroom, and ramps at the front door making it easy for everyone to enjoy their time here. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could ever need, and the open living area has plenty of seating for our entire group. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was top of the line. The outdoor space was equally inviting, with a large patio, koi pond, large jacuzzi, gas fire pit, and bikes available to ride.

Great place very welcoming the host were great we got to the cabin early and were able to do early check in which was amazing definitely loved the experience and will be booking here again!

Super cute stay for my family and I! It was only about 5 minutes from stores which I liked because there was always something we needed. We also received plenty of good recommendations from our host which we did try some! I absolutely loved all of the breakfast spots nearby! Our host was very responsive! I messaged them about a water/shower issue and they had a maintenance worker at our door within about 15-20min, on a Saturday! The kids fully enjoyed the play room. We would come home from our snow play shower, and lounge and play pool the rest of the night. Definitely enjoyed our stay!

This is our second year spending Thanksgiving at Emmett’s Place. There was surprisingly little traffic on the ride up to Big Bear, so Emmett let us check in hours early. Emmett is a responsive, proactive, and friendly host, whose house and furnishings are attractive and very comfortable. My dog loved the fenced-in yard. My adult daughter and I had the best, most relaxing time. Our favorite place in Big Bear is inside Emmett’s house.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this home. Our family absolutely loves it! The host is extremely responsive and accommodating. The home is well-stocked and stylish. The location is beautiful and convenient. We’ve made a lot of good memories here and will be back in the future.

The cabin was clean and as described/pictures. It was a great location close to the lake and good sledding spots. The rooms are spacious, the water was hot and the wifi was strong. Would recommend staying here for sure! I give my highest ratings but think it's worth noting for future guests that (as pictured) there is only a table for 4 people. There are extra chairs but a coffee table or something other than the high bar would be nice with a group of 6+. The kitchen is stocked but missing some essentials (like salt and pepper). Also, when we arrived the heat was off and it was 42* in the cabin which took nearly 24 hours to get to a comfortable temperature and upstairs never really got very warm. There were enough blankets to keep us warm at night though. Also, we ended up with an extra $25 charge for "wasted power usage" which I'm not sure what that's about. Overall we had a lovely time and would like to return!

Great home and host! We felt right at home. Lauren was very friendly and responsive host. The cottage was cozy and location was great. Just 15 minutes from the lake!

Perfect place to stay. The village was a 3 minute drive, easily walkable. The village has great food options and shops. Everything is so close from Albine snow play, coaster, zoo, parks, and lake.

Reneh’s place is plenty of room for 2 people. Worth the price and close to mountains for skiing!

Easy and great communication

Quiet, cozy, warm and a friendly environment. The host was very well coming and her hospitality was appreciated.

Photos don’t do this place justice! It’s updated with a new flatscreen that’s connected to Netflix and all the other at home amenities. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin and it had everything we needed for the weekend. I liked how it was walking distance away from a lake and a few shops and restaurants. If you plan on staying during the winter months I suggest bringing an extra blanket for sleeping. Overall, we had a good time!

Our family had a great time at this place. It really felt like home, rooms were sized pretty well and the kids rooms had toys which our toddlers loved. We just wished the clothes dryer was working. Besides that it’s in a great location and great for the price. Thanks!

We had the best stay at Jamie’s couples cottage after a day of engagement shooting. We brought our female golden retriever, blu, with us and she also felt right at home. Amenities were just enough for a short stay in bear lake. Shower water pressure was perfect and hot water was plenty. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all available even though shampoo and towels were marked as not available in the listing. We tucked into the comfy couch for a movie in the living room before bed and even had time to use the kitchen for a quick snack after dinner (and breakfast before checking out). Levi, the 24hr property manager and his dog, Zuko were the highlight of our stay. Levi was so friendly and attentive during our checkin, answered all our questions and gave us some good recs for our stay. Zuko is the absolute sweetest friendly giant at 130lbs. We’re definitely coming back to this home away from home to say hi in the future!
