Holiday rentals in Big Lake

Everything is as advertised. We had a very cozy and relaxing long weekend enjoying the nearby trail and lagoon then lounging in the comfortable recliners by the fireplace or soaking in the hot tub. Close to downtown and a variety of restaurants, cafes, diners, pubs, malls, and groceries. Very responsive host and was quick to answer any and all questions promptly even before we checked in. Was very knowledgeable about local to dos (and what not to do). It may seem silly but they have an excellent welcome binder to get settled and to help plan your visit to Anchorage. Would recommend and would stay again!

I love how accommodating Kim’s place was. The kids loved the provided snack, especially since we were on the road all day. Games, toiletries, and more were provided to enjoy the stay.

We LOVED this place! It was a half mile from the railroad station where we came from, and when Bridget learned we were coming from there she kindly sent us a map and instructions for a quick walk if we wanted that instead of taking an Uber. The coastal trail right behind the house was so fun to walk, and we had gorgeous sunset views from the house. And the HOUSE. So cute, so well thought out, and the little finishing touches like treats set aside, drinks, some frozen breakfast food, the earplugs and eye covers were just icing on the cake. If we come back to Anchorage we 100% will stay here again!

This was one of our favorite airbnb stays to date! This home was perfect for our family. Beautifully decorated and extremely family friendly. My children felt right at home . I loved the family friendly accommodations and the hand written welcome note. We would love to visit here again!

The cabin was cute, cozy, and perfectly sized for our needs. They communicated well and even dropped of coffee to the door! If we ever get the chance to come back to Anchorage, this place is at the top of our list!

Lisa was wonderful! Very communicative and pleasant! Our plans changed twice and she was unbelievably accommodating and kind. Everything was exactly as pictured and extremely clean. We have a trip in NC and I was looking to see if she had something there, I'd love to book with her again!!

We’ve stayed here in mid-AK winter and now in spring. Love the deck and access to lawn and lake, great view and does not feel like we’re in the city, yet it is and location is perfect for easy access to local establishments. Place is super clean and one of the few places I’ve stayed that has everything a traveler could need.

I couldn’t recommend this place more. Tucked into a historic downtown Anchorage neighborhood, this little jewel of modern design blew me away. Let’s start with the location. I’m from Anchorage, so I’m picky about where I’ll stay—and this was perfect. It snowed in April, and the neighborhood fell quiet under a soft cover of white. We left our rental car in the heated garage and walked downtown—15 minutes to the Captain Cook Hotel, 25 to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Back home, we kicked off our boots in the mudroom and walked up to a spacious, beautifully designed apartment. Heated floors, high ceilings, and elegant decor made it feel both modern and warm. The kitchen was spotless, practical, and easy to use, with thoughtful touches throughout. And the host, Liz, was wonderful—gracious, stylish, quick to respond, and easy to communicate with. While the entrance is on a wide alley, it’s easy to find. This place is the real deal. You’ll be glad you made the call.
