Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Boone County

Cute little house tucked in a quiet neighborhood that has convenient access to the I-70 Loop. We felt right at home and pleasantly enjoyed our stay! The host was very responsive and kind.

I had a great stay at Kathryn's place. Perfectly positioned within a 20 min walk to downtown allowed me to get out and explore. Kathryn was very attentive to any needs I had and the little extras made my stay even better. There is nowhere else I would stay in COMO.

Quiet, cozy and beautifully decorated for the holidays! Plus, Peggy went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of during some snowy weather. All around, a great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful. We didn’t turn on a tv once. I caught up on reading and the pups did a lot of playing. I highly recommend this place. The house and property is very beautiful, and everything was very comfortable. I got a much needed break. If you are in the area and looking for a place don’t pass this one by it is worth every penny. I would definitely stay again.

Great location. Tucked away just off a major road that can get you to anywhere in Columbia. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Home was very clean and loved that the bedrooms were upstairs and the living space was downstairs. Heat worked very well keeping us nice and warm. We were there during Christmas and they even had a little Christmas tree which was so thoughtful. We will be renting again!

What an adorable house! And in an amazing location! We stayed here to visit with family over Thanksgiving and absolutely loved the little town of Rocheport. Although we didn’t spend much time exploring the town, we did use the Katy Trail & a small fenced park with our dogs. Amanda recommended the Mount Nebo Inn for dinner when we arrived & it was outstanding. We had family over for Thanksgiving dinner - the kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to cook/bake all the sides. The only downside to this location is the hilly road in/out of town during winter - it snowed on our last day & we were unable to get up the hill & leave as early as we wanted. It was quite cold for our visit, so we didn’t get out on the Katy Trail much, but this home is perfectly located to enjoy the trail. Highly recommend this home & we hope to return during warmer months.

Katie’s place was great! It was clean and exactly as described! The only small notes for the next people is the door jam into the master bedroom is low, my husband is 6ft and did hit his head. (My daughter is 5ft 2 and said it was great 😂) Also you do have to walk through grass around the house so with snow it’s a little bit messier but not really an issue.

Columbia is my hometown, so this was our first time not staying at my mom's house (my brother's family stayed there) and Paula's house turned out to be perfect. It was clean, quiet, and cozy, close to my mom's neighborhood and to downtown Columbia, with comfortable beds for us and our two teenagers. We used the well-stocked kitchen to cook several items for Thanksgiving dinner, including an apple pie from scratch and four sheets of roasted vegetables--there is LOTS of counter space for rolling out pie crust. I also loved all the materials provided on things to do in Columbia. Like I said, I'm a hometown girl, but there were suggestions for activities and restaurants I'd never heard of. Lovely touches in the house included local art on the walls, a special playroom for little kids, and a little library where you could exchange one paperback for another. We will definitely stay here again if we need a place on our next family visit.
