We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the lodge. We were not expecting such a large unit! Disappointed we were only staying the night versus having more time to enjoy the location.

I didn’t notice it is an access room in a motel in the first place when I made the booking on Airbnb. Actually I prefer Airbnb rather than motel. Later I found they have one bed room apartment on their website so I asked if I could change to that and paid for the extra cost. Their manager Ruby changed it for me immediately and even provided with their best room (room no. 6). The room was tidy, bright, spacious and well equipped. Ruby was very kind, enthusiastic and thoughtful. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

The unit we stayed in was excellent. It was comfortable and spacious for five people and the kitchen was well set up. The unit was very clean and tidy. The motel is close to the lovely bush reserve and Geraldine is small, so everything is walkable! The available booklet on things to do in Geraldine was really useful.

Our group had a lovely stay in this unique and historic place. It's in a refurbished area of the beautiful old university campus, reminiscent of the stone campuses in England. Each room has its own bathroom, a work desk and simple furniture. The accommodation is situated right next to a charming boutique cinema showing the latest arthouse offerings and has views over the courtyards and roofing of the grounds. Despite lots of visitors and a cafe courtyard, the apartment was quiet and calm feeling. On the weekend we were there, there was a market and foodtruck in the nearby square, with a great cafe and homewares store around the corner (Frances Nation). It was a short walk over to nearby shops and attractions, including the excellent art gallery, the Riverside Market and large park. Would love to stay here again next time we are in Christchurch - given that it's only available in summer, it's worth it.

Very good Hostel ! May be careful the hostel is next to the road !!! But it was not a very big problem because the room is very very nice and comfortable

We loved staying here. Sean and Skip have done a wonderful job restoring the factory to make it super comfortable, including under floor heating and indoor fire for cold wintery days. It's just across the road from the beach and we opened the windows at night and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep. Sean took time with us on arrival to show us all the things about the house and was super responsive to a query we had after that. We loved the outdoor fire pit (and the super sized marshmallows for toasting!) and sitting in the spa looking at the stars was beautiful. We didn't realise that there are two parts to the factory and that they can be joined together for a larger group, but appreciate that Sean and Skip only ever book one side (or it as a whole) at a time so you aren't sharing it with strangers. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at the Adelphi Motel! Fantastic location - walkable to riverside market and Hagley park and many central restaurants and attractions. Erin and her husband were very welcoming, engaged and gracious hosts. We instantly felt right at home. The apartment was modern and spotless and had everything we required. Having a balcony was a bonus as we had some really hot weather! Highly recommend.
