Great little cottage with a great view. The cottage lived up to expectations, and even without running water was great with a small child. Also a good place for a dog to keep free. Great grilling, sauna, swimming, and relaxation.

Henna is a very nice host, communication with her was quick and smooth, the apartment is tip top, I am very happy that I booked this place.

An easy work traveler's stay. help and desire was found to solve different wishes. Got a car for charging (1*8A, they said they'll update in the future) However, it worked out! the house is old and has a great history! Thanks!

We stayed to a Siina’s cabin for four days as a group of four individual friends. We wanted to spend some time outdoors but not too far away from Tampere, so I was totally in when saw such a beautiful ad. The cabin is located on a separate island on a lake ~17 km away from Ruovesi with grocery store and couple of restaurants. Even if one doesn't have a car, the local taxi is very punctual and quite cheap. The cabin itself is a beautiful small but comfortable suite with everything needed for either short- or long-stay. It fits well for up to three couples; since we were four individuals, one of us was sleeping on a couch which still was comfortable. There are lots of activities to do - working sauna and grill, and fishing on the lake is also good. Siina was a perfect host for us who was very responsive throughout all our stay, and also supported us with very valuable advices and insights. I'd definitely recommend this option for anybody who wants to get closer to the Nordic nature.

The cottage was very cozy and we enjoyed it very much. The abundance had an atmospheric lake view, and we also loved the sandy beach. Great steam in the sauna. A big plus was the tennis court where we got good games! 😊

Very nice cabin in the forest and right on the lake, Arja is a very friendly hostess! We liked the sauna directly at the lake best. Overall, we were able to experience a wonderful, unforgettable time in the Mökki and can only recommend it

We had a lovely few days at Krista and Toni’s place, beautiful scenery as-well as lots of amenities such as hot tub and fire pit! We couldn’t recommend Toni and Krista enough, who went above and beyond giving recommendations for restaurants, excursions and even a recipe for reindeer stew! This place gives you the peacefulness of rural Finland but not far from a city or town for more if you’re looking for it. Thank you again, we’d love to come back but for longer ☺️

As described, the house sits alone on a peninsula in the lake. The last 3 km lead via a forest path (easily accessible by car). The property offers ample space for activities of all kinds. Game and sports equipment is available but partly already heavily used. The house and other buildings are very nice and well appointed. Description and illustrated instructions for all devices are present. Everything works and there were no problems at all. Wi-Fi Internet is available and sufficient but not particularly fast. If several people want to stream, it's not enough. Outside Wi-Fi is available according to the description but did not work during our visit. A private jetty leads to the beautiful, clear lake. The boat is large enough for 4 people Only the provided (paid) motor is somewhat undersized. Rowing is sometimes faster😁. Overall a wonderful stay in the Finnish forest.

The four of us stayed in Reijo's beautiful wooden cabin for a week in mid to late Sept. - and our expectations were far exceeded. Reijo, the host, picked us up at the bus station in his car, which was incredibly helpful. On our arrival, he showed us around the hut, which he built himself with a lot of love and dedication. You can feel this personal touch in every detail. The hut is equipped with all the essentials and we were also given Wi-Fi on request. However, I can only recommend enjoying your time there without internet to really switch off. Activities & surroundings The location on the lake is fantastic! We had access to two rowing boats, two SUPs and even a pedal boat, which we used to explore the lake every day - it's really worth discovering the area from the water. The rest of the time we spent on the jetty, in front of the cosy fireplace in the evening or in the sauna. Reijos Cottage is a place to relax, switch off and enjoy - at any time of year!

Nice and clean cottage on the river of a lake, with a beautiful view from the porch. Everything was great, nice spots for swimming nearby. I would just suggest to improve the instructions for the waste sorting in English.

Great location and setting. It was well agreed to spend the weekend with a group of 6 people. The host was welcoming and easily reachable if needed.

Oh, that was a pleasant stay! :) Around Suhaan in Finland, thanks to my work and stay is a big part of the well-being at work. It's good to be in this house, to sleep and have a good time. You can't beat a wooden house; sleep. The builders of the house have created a cozy place to live . I highly recommend stopping by when the trip requires a good place to stay.

A truly magical place, your own little universe. A quiet and peaceful place like this is not easy to come by these days, especially not with all the modern amenities that Pirjo's place offers. Private sauna, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, near-total isolation with a town still in reach... I could go on. A true gem in the middle of the beautiful Finnish nature and without a doubt the best Airbnb I ever stayed at. Pirjo herself is an amazing host. Not only did she always reply quickly and very helpfully – she went out of her way multiple times to accommodate and go the extra mile for me, organizing helpful things for me that I didn't even ask her to. I am so grateful to Pirjo, whose hospitality has been the cherry on top of this amazing vacation-cake. Also the island's caretaker, Heikki, was super nice and helpful and I'm happy to have met him. Sadly I didn't meet Pirjo to thank her in person but I hope we will once I inevitably come back for another stay.

Everything went very comfortably and the cottage was comfortably spacious and well-equipped. We got an extra open to make an ice saw and a kaita, and we also got to use the lakeside sauna. Very good experience!

This place is a gem! Perfect location, built by hand, amazing hosts and last but not least, the sauna was the best! Very helpful and friendly hosts, even booked us a taxi back to Jyvaskyla train station for our early departure. An easy 5 stars, would recommend to anyone. Sitting by the woodstove was the best way to end the day after hiking on the trails in the magical forest close to the BnB.
