Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cherwell District

High and Little Barn were both truly gorgeous homes to stay in for the weekend. The trip was for a group of 9 women on their annual girls getaway wanting somewhere to unwind and relax and StayCotswolds did not disappoint! The house had everything we could possibly need whilst being a great base while we went and explored further afield. Great value for money, would definitely stay again if in the area

Absolutely perfect place for a family celebration. The house was amazing with nothing lacking. The hot tub was enjoyed by all & the Lakeside Restaurant was so close & served delicious food. The views down the lake were stunning 😍 We would definitely recommend this home for a long weekend or a week's holiday as there is so much to do in the area. Great communication from Orion - loved it!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was beautiful, private and peaceful. A chance to relax and be surrounded by nature. My husband and I stayed with our newborn and we had no issues with convenience and getting what we need. Jeremy was very helpful and came down twice to help with what we needed. We loved the privacy it offered while still having the convenience of a town just 5 mins away. We were able to order food and cook. A top highlight was sitting in the hot tub under a sky filled with stars. A great chance to be off grid, enjoy nature and time with family. Highly recommend the place!

We had a fantastic stay, the hut was lovely, cosy but plenty of space and everything that you need. The view and wildlife was amazing, owls, dears, foxes, kestrels, red kites just to name a few. Jonathan was an amazing host and couldn’t have done anything more for us. When staying here the shepards hut next to us was empty, so this made it very exclusive but If it had people staying in it this would have been a big negative for us, as it makes both huts not very private especially outside and walking to the hot tubs. Probably wouldn’t return because of this which is a shame as it is a lovely place.

A lovely location. Nice and peaceful for a family or friends to get together. Lots of space for everyone and a great hot tub with lovely views. Lovely and warm even on cold February days. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant accomodation! everything was seamless from a few days before check-in asking how many beds we needed, to a flexible check in on the day. we absolutely loved the accommodation, it was spotless and exactly as described, it had everything you could possibly need. We stayed for a friend's wedding at Waters Edge at Ewen and would highly recommend, only a 10 minute taxi ride and made the whole wedding experience so much more fun and relaxed, we even left early just to come back and get in the hot tub! thank you so much for a great stay!!

Fantastic stay at the Hayloft cottage. The beautiful private surroundings just outside of Stratford upon Avon town was perfect and kept immaculate. Wendy made us feel right at home and the place was snug and cosy for the 4 of us. Complimentary treats for valentines went down a treat and we loved the pool and hot tub experience which was all pristine and well organised. Thank you so much Wendy, already planning our next trip! Xxx

Lizzy's place was wonderful. We were only there for a weekend and I would love to go back for a longer stay. There was plenty of space and the hot tub was a bonus. The property is also close to some very pretty villages and towns - highly recommended!

This house was great to stay in! It had a nice charm to it and had a brilliant location close to great pubs, wine bars and shops and also a short driving distance to bigger towns. There was plenty of space in the house. It was 1°C during our stay and was difficult to heat the ground floor as much as we would have liked with the electric heaters however it wasn't too much of an issue as blankets were provided and there was a fire available to help with that. Overall, I highly recommend Danielles cottage for a stay in the Cotswolds!

We loved our family stay in the Cotswold Barn. The building was fabulous, so spacious and close to lovely places to visit in the Cotswolds. We wanted a venue where we could relax as a family and there was certainly enough space to do that. All bedrooms having en suites was great. Brilliant dining space and games room. Well equipped kitchen, spacious for preparing meals for 8. We had a photographer do a photo shoot to celebrate a milestone birthday and the venue was perfect to capture some great photographs, with beautiful surroundings. We would definitly come back!

Beautiful cottage that was perfect for our stay. Super clean, cosy and comfortable. Felt like home from home. Great walks from the doorstep, including one into Stow-on-the-Wold, a lovely picturesque market town with a good selection of independent cafes and shops. All in all, a lovely relaxing weekend.

It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

We really enjoyed staying in The Old Chapel. Peaceful, beautiful and a lovely conversion. Clean abd homely. Thank you for chocolate and cake! Looking forward to next visit. Thank you Jill x

We wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing to go for a couple of days and the barn at Badsey was perfect. The space itself is lovely with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. The breakfast facilities (kettle, toaster etc) were enough for us as there were so many places to eat nearby for lunch and dinner. Our dog was pleased to be able to have a sniff around the garden.

We stayed 3 nights at Mary's place it was perfect for what we wanted and we were extremely pleased that Mary excepted our dogs with open arms. We travelled to NEC easily in 35 mins and found plenty of parks to run the dogs in around Leamington on our day there. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back another bonus for us it was only 20 mins away from family members.

Lovely accommodation and peaceful location. Charles very helpful in providing hypoallergenic pillow for me and suggesting places to eat. We had good pub grub at the Three Crowns and an excellent Sunday roast at the Somerford Arms. All well recommended.

It is a great home for a family reunion; the open plan top floor is brilliant, comprising the well-equipped kitchen, large dining area and spacious living space. The lake views out to the back included several murmurations of starlings, crested grebes and swans, and we even had a squirrel visit the balcony.

Patricia's home is lovely, warm and cozy. We booked at the last minute so that our family could spend Christmas together. We appreciated the lovely welcome and provision of staples like milk, butter, tea, coffee, juice and also crusty bread. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with ease. Patricia had even gone to the trouble to decorate her home for Christmas for us, which was very special. We all enjoyed our time together there. It is a bonus to have a full bathroom and an extra toilet for a family, too. The setting in the park is peaceful and welcoming and there are nice walks around the woods and lakes; our dog loved it, too. This is a wonderful place to stay in every way and Patricia is a very thoughtful and accommodating host. Thank you!

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. Thanks again Farahnaz & Paul, We will be back.

Fantastic cottage. Felt very luxurious and private. Nicky made sure we had everything we needed. the spot felt very private and had great views. We especially enjoyed The Bull Pub which was recommended.

Ros and Hugh were great hosts. A very warm welcome and clear explanations on all utilities in the flat and insight into the surrounding area. This friendly couple were unintrusive but reassuring to know they were available in their cottage right next to our flat had we needed help with anything. The flat was compact but well designed with all the amenities required for a cosy stay. The village itself is the quintessential image we'd hoped for an idyllic rural setting. We had a very nice stay and excellent value for money.

Fantastic location and a real home from home feel. Beautiful surroundings with fantastic walks and pubs with excellent food along the way. We made good use of the welcoming log burner. For cosy nights in. Our dog loved the early morning walks along river and through fields with the three Barn Owls! A wonderful place to relax and unwind.

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

We stayed for a couple of nights close to Christmas, wonderful stay in this beautiful period home, with the village looking very pretty and festive. Having use of a sauna and pool, while it was frosty outside; made our stay particularly enjoyable!
