Holiday rentals with lake access in County Donegal

The house and the view were beautiful. Lovely area, lots of options within a few minutes. The only issue we had was upon arrival, the house was very cold. The host was quick to respond and everything warmed up nicely over a few hours.

A wonderful stay at Jillian’s lovely home in Portnablagh, beach access very close by within walking distance which our two dogs loved and small enough that we could keep an eye on them off lead. Dunfanaghey itself is very quiet at this time of year we found it hard to find any restaurants open. Jillian’s home is spotless and has everything you need for a lovely comfortable relaxing stay

Had a lovely relaxing and very enjoyable few days at Duffy lodge. The accommodation was just perfect it’s was spotless, had everything you needed and more eg plenty of towels, toiletries, tea/coffee. Deirdre was just amazing so friendly and accommodating and went over and beyond. She had fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs in fridge for us when we arrived. She made the most amazing scones which were absolutely delicious. We felt very at home and loved that our 2 dogs were very welcome also. Fantastic stay in an absolutely picturesque location. Having stayed in many air bnb while traveling around the wild Atlantic way this one was one of those finds that just blew us away. The location was remote which gave total and utter peace and tranquility, although it's only a 10 minute walk to the local garage or 20 minutes down into Burtonport. Marjorie is the perfect host, just a message or call away if there's any issues (there won't be) and happy to give recommendations on local restaurants. I honestly can't recommend this stay any higher, it is perfect, and my wife and I will most definitely be booking back in for another break in the near future

We had an amazing time at Jude and Chris’s place. It is a great location with amazing beaches within a short drive and a smaller beach 10min walk away. The place had everything we needed and it felt really welcoming.

This accommodation is perfectly situated on the outskirts of Buncrana. Buncrana seamlessly accessible by foot. Beautiful beach or heritage walks on the door step with coffee docks conveniently located near the property. House is new build, very modern, spacious and comfortable. Ideal for large groups and families. Cannot recommend enough.

Six girlfriends stayed for three nights in this beautiful home. Julion was so helpful and accommodating. This accommodation is perfect for friends to gather. There is plenty of space, well-appointed rooms, and extra touches. For us, we wanted to walk and swim, and this was perfect with access to the beach and outside hot shower. We even used the sauna a few times, too. We had a lovely girlie night, pampering and watching movies. The kitchen was great, perfect for us all to sit and dine in whilst watching the sunset. I would strongly recommend this place for a girls' trip/retreat. Dunfanaghy is excellent for restaurants and drinks and is walkable from the house. NONE of us could find a fault with the house, though it did take us a few tries using the Quooker tap. We will be back and some of the girls are considering booking again for a family trip. Great trip, very relaxed close to bars and good scenery

Jean's place was in a great area. It was walkable to the water, multiple pubs, and many shops. The owners of the pub next door are very helpful and offer great recommendations as well.

This little house is such great value for money, I don’t even know where to start it was just perfect. My 2 little girls had so much fun and loved playing games in front of the fire in evenings. And running around the totally safe and-private garden playinghide and seek. we walked to the local pub one afternoon and was also so nice sitting beside the fire. Carrickfinn beach is less than 5 minute drive and beautiful and Mullaghderg beach also very nearby another stunning beach. I loved the views out of the front of the house , just stunning! There was ample supplies left that most places don’t leave or else just enough for one night. This house provided enough of everything we needed for whole stay and more. We both agreed that the host Amanda was what made staying at this house really special. She was so kind and accommodating. Leaving lovely little treats and so willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay is so special! Thank you Amanda! Definitely recommend

Beautifully located lakeside property. Spacious private outside area with hot tub, fire pit with amazing views over the lake. Good layout with good sized living space for 6 people. 3 good sized double rooms & en suite or bathroom next to each. Beds very comfortable. The mezzanine bedroom has screen for privacy & we took portable black out blinds which worked well, however a sleep mask is provided. Well equipped kitchen for self catering & second fridge in the utility room for drinks. Nice bottle of bubbles on arrival. Great host. Super location for exploring with easy access to many beaches & local towns. Great pub close by.

What a wonderful property. I couldnt have asked for more. Everything was in working order and the hot tub was amazing. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a secluded and quiet getaway.

Had a two night stay at the cottage, found it to be very homely and spotlessly clean. We packed up on groceries and wine before we left as reading previous reviews we knew it was in a remote location. We took the walk from the garden to the beach which took around 20 minutes and was definitely worthwhile, kids loved flying their kites! Remember to pack wellies if the weather has been wet as it can be a mucky walk.. Briony and family are very friendly and welcoming and are very approachable..would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

The house is in a fantastic location right in the centre of Buncrana. The house was really clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it to anyone and will definitely use it again when we're back in Buncrana. Thanks.
