Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dorset

The house was comfortable, very well equipped, and ideally positioned for Poole Quay and the Harbour Park. We and our dog appreciated the bottle of fizz and other treats left for us all. There are several shops and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. The allocated parking space to the rear was often taken up by other vehicles but there was sufficient space at the front to park our car. We would highly recommend Mainsail for couples or families wanting to visit Poole. Thank you Angus and Anne for a lovely stay!

Great stay, within walking distance of the beach, really clean and everything we needed was available for the stay! Great communication and information on the day of check in. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return in the future :)

From the communication, to the quality of the accommodation & amenities to the welcoming touches with Prosecco & snacks, your thoughtfulness just made our holiday perfect!! The decor was bright, modern & beautiful; the house and furniture was spotless and the house had everything you would need for a weekend getaway. We were 9 people and a dog and there was ample room for everyone. We couldn’t be happier. The only issue is that since this was our first Airbnb adventure, we’ve now got our bar set too high 😊 Thanks once again for allowing us a fabulous few days in Bournemouth in your beautiful house.

We had a lovely stay at the old postoffice! Everything was as described and the location was perfect. Everything in Weymouth was easily walkable. Parking was tricky, but not impossible (also as described :)). We would happily stay here again!

We had a great stay at Di and Stephen’s house. The location is excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. The heated pool is a huge bonus and our daughters absolutely loved it. They also loved the playground and spent many happy hours in the garden. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Me and my partner have just finished our stay with alpine grove and would highly recommend visiting. We stayed in the woodpecker lodge and from the log burner to the hot tub everything about this lodge was perfect, Kieth and Serena service is amazing and we can’t wait to visit again soon. Thank you again for such an amazing stay.

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

A lovely quiet location 5 min walk to a beautiful quiet harbour beach and 5 mins drive to Hamworthy Beach. The beach hut is an amazing addition with all the extras inside ! The communication was top notch! The caravan was homely welcoming comfortable had everything and more you would need the games and books kept our three boys amused! Clean tidy and accommodating! We chose Jo's place as it was close to Charmouth (11 mins) and Lyme Regis (14 mins by car). Our 6 year old son wanted to go fossil hunting. We arrived at Jo's cottage and she was there to greet us. She is very friendly and welcoming as well as her lovely dog Ruby. Jo also provided us with a travel cot and a changing mat for our 3 month old baby boy too, which was helpful. Jo provided us with a wheel barrow to carry our belongings to the Duck House as it was a little walk round the cottage. It's cosy and had all we needed. Our son liked the children's room he slept in and enjoyed the toys/games provided. My partner and my son did go in the swimming pool, however it was cold for our baby to go into. Jo did provide some bread, home made marmalade (that was lovely), butter, jam and milk. There was no hot water when we woke but when we contacted Jo she was straight on it and sorted it before we went out for the day. We enjoyed our stay - Thank you Jo.

This was our second visit, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We were warmly greeted, the annex was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, providing a relaxed, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Jo and Andrew ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect offering easy access to Branksome Woods to walk our dog and leads to the beach in 10 mins. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable Airbnb experience.

Gill’s place was incredible! We had 16+ comfortably fit with lots of space in the main areas and loads of activities to do. The place was really clean and organised. We walked down the pub and was a lovely time. Would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and family xx

Located close to where we have family living which was ideal for us. Lovely and quiet and has a saved parking space for the vehicle Our dog was welcomed to the property. It’s close to shops and takeaway outlets, although the kitchen is perfectly satisfactory for cooking in. Lots of lovely touches in the property such as provision of tea, coffee, milk and sugar as well as shampoo, soap shower gel in the bathroom. Very friendly hosts who were available if required.

The apartment is lovely and in the most perfect location, right on the harbour. There are loads of places to eat right on your doorstep. Can also walk to beach and shops easily. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again next time in Weymouth.

We had a nice relaxing break. It was a lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Sally was available for us when we needed anything. The directions she gave made it very easy to find. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. It’s a lovely house, everything is immaculate. Great quiet location, good for dog-walks and close to the cathedral.

Had a lovely time with our 4 month old and wanted somewhere outside of Bournemouth where it’s more peaceful and this didn’t disappoint. The apartment was spotless and everything was to a very high standard, including all provisions you’d need plus more… Jonathan has literally thought of everything and gone the extra mile to make it a home from home. Would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Superb cottage with very good facilities set in a great location to explore and enjoy Dorset and the Jurassic coast. We would return again.

A lovely stay at Springwood, it was a nice home that was spacious, clean, safe and in a good location. Property was behind the residential address, but not too close that it felt imposing. A mixture of staying in as my son is preparing for his GCSE’s, and trying a few walks recommended in the welcome pack. A great place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The dog friendly Three Legged Cross pub, which is in walking distance (15-20 minutes) is welcoming, we all had a lovely meal there one afternoon. Would definitely recommend staying here for the all round qualities it has to offer.

Paul and Tracy were fantastic hosts and were super friendly and responsive. They greeted us as we arrived and showed us around and made us feel at home. The property was pristine and had all the amenities you would need. There were so many little personal touches and made the whole experience feel that much more special. Was perfect for a quiet break away from busy city life and was exactly what we needed. We would strongly consider staying here again! Many thanks again!
