A beautiful well kept cottage with good parking, really convenient for walks and trails, our dog loved it, and the hot tub was a fantastic bonus at the end of a day

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth, including a delicious home-baked cake that made us feel instantly at home. The cottage itself is stunning, blending cozy charm with lovely decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The views are absolutely breathtaking—perfect for unwinding and taking in the scenery. The hot tub was an added luxury, allowing us to relax under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a personal touch.

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

Booked The Dairy for 2 nights for my birthday weekend and was definitely not disappointed! The Dairy was spotless, homely and in the most beautiful location 😍. Katie and Nathan came to say hello and were very welcoming and friendly. They even introduced my little one to the animals and showed him how to feed them (which he absolutely loved, thank you!!!). We booked the hot tub, which was spotless and in the most peaceful and beautiful spot. Only a short drive to the local village and other things to do too. We absolutely loved our time at The Dairy and we will definitely be back - thank you so much!

We had a great stay over New Year at the barn. So peaceful with beautiful surroundings. The children in our family loved the animals we could see from the kitchen and living room. Plenty of space and flexibility with the option to have a twin room if we needed it. We all appreciated having our own bathrooms. Thank you for a very memorable stay!

Lovely place, had everything we needed for a weekend break. Cosy, warm and comfortable. Host was lovely, communication was great. Would definately recommend and i would definitely stay again 😊

Terry was very helpful and responsive. The Forge is very quaint, its clean but not pristine (decor is aging) but homely and comfortable. My parents found it a little difficult as the sofas are very low., and the downstairs bedroom option is only a sofa bed so wasn't suitable for them as I had hoped. But there was room for everyone and it was lovely and warm. Kitchen well stocked for Christmas cooking, although there are no numbers left on the cooker dials so that was a bit of guess work. The parking was a bit irritating as only one space at the cottage so loading and unloading of multiple cars was messy. Chinley is a fantastic location with lovely views, ample shops and pubs for all the basics and a nature reserve where you can let the dogs off lead. A great place for large families to come together to cook and eat together, various comfort levels for the beds which were basic, bathroom facilities very basic/dated. This large house was a Christmas Blessing to our family

such a relaxing two nights. the weather was cold and wet but the cottage was really warm and cosy . loved the woodburner . the view is beautiful . dogs loved the garden and watching the horses in the field behind the garden . Wendy was very welcoming and friendly

Absolutely fantastic house, beautiful view, comfortable rooms, really spacious. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of bathrooms! Flexible host who responded quickly. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, it's so quiet and peaceful, but pubs are in walking distance and supermarkets only a short drive away. We had an amazing time thank you!

Maeve was a wonderful host, very welcoming and friendly. She was there to greet for an easy arrival, and relaxed check out. The location was the perfect blend of walkable to castleton and yet peaceful and rural enough. The cottage had everything we need, feeling at home and cosy- we especially loved the fire. We had a lovely stay and felt very comfortable.

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

Such a comfortable and cosy cottage with amazingly comfortable beds - it was like sleeping on a cloud! Lots of board games, books and DVDs available for the evenings and a couple of puzzles too - I attempted the 1000 piece puzzle (slightly too ambitious for our 3-night stay!). Lovely log fire which adds to a cozy evening in. Beautiful kitchen with a good sized table, perfect for breakfast and family dinners. Stunning location with views out over the swimming pool and the orchard beyond. Both Izzy and Simon were so welcoming - we look forward to staying again in the near future!

Really lovely place to stay quiet with amazing views! Not far from Ashbourne town centre where you can get all your essentials we really enjoyed using the swimming pool as well that was a bonus for us!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Perfectly located for our family trip to walk up Kinder Scout. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. Our host provided us with local recommendations, delicious biscuits and local coffee. The pool was wonderful, our boys couldn't get enough of it! Highly recommended!

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.

My friends and I had an amazing weekend here. We were celebrating our friends birthday and they kindly put up a banner and there was a cake as well which was such a kind gesture and really appreciated! The location is beautiful and if you get the chance the spa on site is well priced and very good!
