Sugar Pine Lodge- 3 bedroom Lodge with superb view

When we walked in we all were blown away with the interior. Decorated and laid out to make us feel at home as soon as we walked in. The view, was even better. You can see for miles. Rolling hills, trees and water. On arrival we were greeted with welcome gifts for the children and the wife was happy with a bottle of wine. I'd recommend and even return. Thank you.

Carrick Shore's hidden gem (The Vital Spark)

We’ve found our happy place ! Location exceeded our expectations, the beach view and the short stroll down to it was blissful and the birds in the garden were unbelievable- so many , all day everyday! We had absolutely everything we could possibly need in the accommodation. We walked everyday and only left the area once to visit the red kite feeding station at Bellymack hill farm - what a joy that was. Even when it rained it was still bliss to be in a lovely warm environment watching the wind and the waves! Although there are other properties around it literally feels like you are alone- we will definitely be back in the spring/summer - I’m longing to swim in the bay!

Rabbie Burns Lodge

Altogether a lovely long weekend away, this place is perfect if you like to get out walking the hills etc, all the amenities in the lodge where more than I expected and would definitely stay here again in the future, we where a group of 15 and there was more than enough space and bathroom facilities, all in all I’d recommend the Rabbie burns lodge, just one piece of advice and this does not reflect on the place it’s self, if you book here and decided to order takeaway the only restaurant on just eat is an Indian place it’s absolutely terrible and extremely over priced so avoid that at all costs but there are plenty of menus in the lodge for other takeaways which we found later on Great place to go though thanks lynne

Shore Escape

We had the most amazing stay at the shore escape pod! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the host Ian was amazing. He was there to welcome us even later on at night and showed us around the pod and made sure we were comfortable. We also will cherish this beautiful place as it’s now where we got engaged! Thank you Ian and we will definitely be back soon!

Marilyn's Motel 2

Another wonderful stay at Marilyns Motel. We stayed in the larger of the two options; although both easily sleep two people, Number 2 is perfect for a group of four though as the seating area converts into a double bed. Solo visitors would find Number 1 fine, although it doesn't have a separate sitting area as such. Marilyn is a great host, available without being intrusive, and we look forward to staying in her lovely cabin next year. This will be our fourth visit and repeat visits reveal exactly how great this accomodation is! Thanks Marilyn.

Gorgeous immaculate lodge working close driving distance to both Cockermouth and Keswick and a great base for exploring the lakes. Park is very peaceful and lodge exactly as described. Immaculately clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely book again

We loved our stay in Benjamin’s air b and b and felt right at home straight away. We had everything we needed and more - kitchen was stocked up with utensils/pans and extra blankets. For this area you will need to have a car for sure as nearest shops are a few miles away. There is a beautiful beach nearby

Parents have stayed previously in Alistair's accomodation and our family loved it. Everything needed was in the lodge and lovely touches with a welcome pack there for our arrival. Beautiful surroundings and such a lovely place to stay. Would definitely reccomend.

New Holiday Lodge, Amazing Views, Unique Location

What can I say... this place was just fantastic! very quiet, private and secluded with beautiful views. The Lodge is very clean with all the facilities you could possibly need. Ewan was a brilliant host throughout our stay and even stocked the fridge up with treats ready for our arrival which was a nice touch. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family for sure. Thanks for such a pleasant stay.

Woodrow Lodge with Private Hot Tub

We had the most amazing time at this lodge. The place was spotless! Amy thought of everything, salt, pepper, cooking oil, towels for the shower and towels for the hot tub, toilet roll, washing machine and dishwasher tablets. Small things like this make a huge difference. Even the birthday banners for my wife were a lovely touch! Amy stayed in contact offering suggestions of places we could visit which was great. We visited Gretna Green, Dalbeattie woods, Crithon Hall and Sandyhills Beach, this beach is such a hidden gem which we would highly recommend. There's parking available and although it was free for us, Anna, the owner of the site said it would be £5 per car from 1st April. There are toilets available plus a shop. The lodge location is just perfect, sheep in the field early morning, watching the sunrise with a coffee was just what the doctor ordered for us. We will definitely be back. Thank You! SECLUDED UNIQUE SELF CATERING LOG CABIN

The property is a hexagonal wooden cabin, tucked away in a secluded spot convenient for birdwatchers (RSPB reserves and WWT Caerlaverock are nearby), dog-walking at the fantastic Sandy Hills beach and hiking along the coast. Nonetheless it is only half an hour's drive from Dumfries and/or Castle Douglas. The lodge has lovely views down to the Solway Firth across to the Cumbrian Hills and beautiful night skies. We stayed between Christmas and New Year, when we experienced wild and wet weather as well as deep frosts, but the cabin was always warm and cosy. The open plan kitchen/living area was greatly appreciated, as were the two bathrooms. This was a lived-in but very comfortable space. We all felt at home here, including the dog.

Really bright airy chalet, but surprisingly warm and cozy. Fab views over the fields to Criffel and just a stones throw from the shore. Nights filled with the call of Curlews and a sky full of stars. Well placed for walks along the beautiful Solway firth, over hills and through woodland.

Secluded spacious lodge Dumfries and Galloway

What a beautiful and peaceful lodge to stay in. We stayed as a family of five and the lodge is spacious and so peaceful. It’s surrounded by nature’s playground. Loved the beaches, mountain biking in the local Forrests, walking coastal paths and seeing the local towns. 100% recommend staying here, we’ll be back

Lovely location, kind and friendly host, spacious yet cosy and pleasant cabin. Really enjoyed my stay - beautiful view, right on the beach, lovely long walks. Cabin was clean, warm, and comfortable, utilities worked well, great shower. Birds and bunnies to watch in the morning, a very peaceful space.
