Family-friendly holiday rentals in East Cook

We had a wonderful family get-away and Rick's home was the ideal place to stay! The location was perfect. The views of the lake were spectacular and the home was cozy with many thoughtful amenities.

We had a wonderful time! Great location for our extended family with kids/babies ages 1 mo. to 5 years old. Lots of great winter activities for everyone, highly recommend!

Everything about this airbnb was great! We enjoyed the location next to Lake Superior, and then its location on the north shore made it easy to make a day trip to Grand Marais and make stops along the shore. Our only complaint for the Airbnb was the lack of parking. There was not assigned parking spots, and we only got a park spot of the nights we stayed.

We loved the space. The location right up against the lake was stunning, it was great for getting to Lutsen Mountain, and it was a short drive into Grand Maria’s. We’ll maintained as well, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our time here. They had it fully stocked with coffee, hot chocolate. Nice refrigerator; bedrooms were wonderful. And, of course, BlueFin was great! Perfect for a quick stay at a wonderful location.

Amazing view, beautiful space. We loved the jacuzzi, hot tub, pool and sauna.

We've been visiting Grand Marais for years and this was the best stay we've ever had. Skyhouse easily has the best views for miles around. It was cozy, well-furnished, had fantastic natural light all around, and we all had so much fun. We traveled with my in-laws and 2-year-old daughter in the dead of winter, and we all were sad to leave. The bedrooms were small, yet spacious and had everything you could need: extra blankets, towels, toilet paper, and enough storage for clothes, bags, and whatever else you might accumulate. All the stairs gave us a great workout, and gave my daughter a ton of practice going up and down stairs safely! I can't say enough positive things about the physical space. Communicating with Todd and Susan was a breeze. He responded to every question quickly and helpfully. I felt so comfortable here, and also empowered to love the space. Thank you Todd and Susan for making it possible to experience such a gorgeous home and experience. We'd love to come back!

The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, remote, inviting, very clean, and so comfortable! It was a perfect getaway for our family. Access to the sauna at the Lodge was wonderful. Very kind and responsive host. Thank you!

This is our second year staying at this Airbnb and we cannot wait to go back. The location is perfect (30 second walk to the lovely lodge and Raven Rock Grill), plenty of room for our large group, and a beautiful view of Devil Track Lake. There were also some furniture updates since last year which was great!! Looking forward to next year.

Joan and Don’s place was beautiful and they were very responsive. Don built much of the place by hand which is impressive! We enjoyed seeing faint northern lights, playing board games at the big table, cooking in the chefs kitchen, and baking in the sauna by the lake. For a remote winter getaway with a large group, this is the place.

Beautiful location and cute cozy cabin. The outdoor space and views were amazing. Felt very private and peaceful. Cabin space was extremely clean and tidy. Loft space was newer and provided a large open space for evening hangouts. We took advantage of the wood burning stove in the loft. Only downside is no bathroom at that space (there is an outhouse but light was not working while we were there) so we went back and forth to the main cabin. Overall a great relaxing time at the north shore. A negative is the fuse box is not labeled well for checkout instructions and may be cramped with more than 2 people staying overnight depending on your expectations, plus there are no cancellations allowed. Slightly high priced for the accommodations, but you pay for views/grounds. Had no issues with rental company during our stay.

Beautiful spot! It was much more spacious than we were expecting. Lovely central cozy living room, with two beautiful main level bedrooms (queen beds) and the upstairs was like a master "family bedroom" area with two beds on one side and two on the other, separated by a central bathroom. Perfect to have the kids nearby but in their own space. We hope to come back when we have more time to explore and enjoy the space!

This was a beautiful scenic location and very clean on arrival. The fireplace was also well-loved on our visit. This was a great spot to celebrate my birthday weekend with my family. I appreciated that we could bring out two dogs. Thank you for a great stay!

Two friends and I stayed here for Grandma’s Marathon weekend. The condo is about 30 minutes from the start, which worked out perfectly. The condo is exactly as described, directly on Lake Superior with the most gorgeous views from the living room and master bedroom. We loved that each room has its own bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen for making our own meals. The indoor pool and sauna are a very short walk from the unit and are very clean and well maintained. There is a bike path that intersects with the condo’s driveway, which goes along the water and is separate from the road. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!
