House holiday rentals in Edinburgh Old Town

We loved our stay! Everything was clean and the bedroom were very nice with comfortable beds. The house had a very cozzy feeling to it. We didn’t had the right plugs for the phone charger and they were nice enough to borrow us 4. On the day of our check out we needed ice to put in the insulin container of my mom and they went above and beyond to get some ice for us, really thankful for that! Overall I would really recommend this place. Location was great too, close by to the beach and restaurants and just 1 hour away from Edinburgh

we stayed with Margaret for four days in August with family. We used the house as a base . I would definitely stay here again.

Great house, perfect for a hen party. Everything we needed, pool and hot tub were great although we couldn’t get many bubbles in the hot tub. Other than that tiny thing, we had a great stay and would stay again

Excellent quiet and safe location with secure car parking. Edinburgh city centre is walkable or easily accessed by several bus services including the airport bus which stops at the end of the street. Bobbie is an excellent host who made us feel very welcome and provided good communication prior to arrival.

Our stay at the mews house couldn’t have been more perfect. Beautiful location in Stockbridge, close to the city centre. The house itself is peaceful and beautifully designed. Fiona was a responsive and friendly host — thank you. Would certainly recommend.

A very comfortable and lovely home. We appreciated the space to gather together or have privacy. We were a group of five family members. We had a car. We used both the car and bus to explore the surrounding area. A bus stop is relatively close by. It was a very cozy and beautifully decorated home. The co-host Kenneth worked with us for check in. He was helpful and friendly. Entire stay was terrific!

My husband and I stayed at the Water Tower for 3 nights. It is beautifully restored with so much attention to detail. In arriving we explored it in total awe. It is very comfortable and each bedroom has an ensuite toilet and hand basin. The bathroom is totally wonderful - especially having a bath. The sitting room at the top has a sensational view and is very comfortably furnished. As previous reviews have mentioned the Water Tower is well equipped and we were made very welcome by Susan and Gerry and greeted with homemade muffins and our choice of breakfast ingredients. The Water Tower is really well located, with Morrisons, a wonderful Indian Restaurant called Itihaas for dinner and an incredibly convenient bus service to Edinburgh (£2 per ride - use your card on your phone to pay) - all just around the corner. The Water Tower is an incredibly special place and we would stay again if/when we come back to Edinburgh. Thank you very much Susan and Gerry for hosting us.

An excellent flat with great links to the centre of Edinburgh and for us coming down from the North it was easy to and accessible. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the flat and will definitely use again. Thank you

We had a wonderful stay in this AirBnb. It was really cozy and great for a trip to Edinburgh with a "cottage vibe". Everything went very smoothly from the communication to the check in to the stay itself. I would recommend it! (for a very short city trip it may be a bit far from the city center, like 30 mins walking but either uber it or walk it, it's easily reachable!) Thank you Daniel and Denise!

We had a fantastic 4-days stay at Craig’s Cottage in Edinburgh. The place was incredibly cosy and perfect for our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 13 and 6). The cottage was spotless, well-maintained, and felt like a home away from home. We especially loved the fully-equipped kitchen and the charming fireplace, which made our evenings extra special. Parking was a breeze with the private driveway, and commuting to the city centre was super convenient. We used Bolt and the nearby bus services, both of which were quick and hassle-free. Craig was a great host—responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would definitely stay here again!

Marie was extremely helpful and responsive from check in to checkout, made sure we could find the house without any trouble and that it had everythingwe needed (and more!) to feel right at home. It was perfectly equipped and we even had breakfast foods available which made our first night much smoother. The house was beautiful, spacious and very clean. It is only meters away from the train station and bus stops which quickly took us right into the city center. Would 100% recommend staying at Marie's and would love to be back myself if I am back in Edimburgh.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Helen and Jamie's home! We especially appreciated how well it accommodates a large group like ours (of 16)! Our youngest brother was getting his master's degree at the University of Edinburgh, so my parents, my sister's family and my family decided to come and join him for the holidays. Every family had their own "wing" of the house, with our parents in the middle and then each sister's families down a different hallway, with each family also having their own bathroom. We even had enough room for our brother and his fiancé to come and stay in the house with us (on the third floor)! It was fantastic. The beds were divine, and the heated bathroom floor was one of my favorite treats. Jamie and Helen were very kind and helpful, making suggestions for restaurants in the area. We were close enough to the city of Edinburgh that we easily went into town every day, but far enough out that it felt relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle if we wanted to be.

I rented an apartment for my parents for a week and we are very satisfied. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. In addition, Marcin was very kind, asked if we were missing anything, and answered all the questions. This is a beautiful home from home! Very comfortable and has everything you need for a break away. There's a Sainsbury's just round the corner, the Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat are also a short walk away. When we are back in Edinburgh we will absolutely check the availability here! The house was clean and spacious with all the amenities that we needed for a relaxing weekend. It was a nice touch to have toiletries available for guests, my teenage boys appreciated the huge television!

Really clean and cozy little house . Located in a good neighbourhood, a little far from the centre but the bus stop is 2 minutes away down the street . It’s pretty noisy because the place is right om the street , but other than that was great .

A fantastic home to stay on outskirts of Edinburgh. Easy commute to centre of town. House was lovely, spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend. Hosts were very quick at responding to any queries. Would love to stay again.
