Family-friendly holiday rentals in Elizabeth City

Great spot to relax, reset and recharge. The house had everything we needed to make our meals for the week. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and the hot tub was a great way to end the day. We saw horses most days and were grateful for the beach chairs to use. Best vacation of my life-will be back.

I don’t usually write reviews but this place is amazing. We came in late March and it ended up being colder (highs in 50s-60s) but the heated pool was totally swimmable. Kids had so much fun exploring all the toys and fun things in the house. Perfect size for two small families or one very large one. Everything was absolutely pristine and high quality. Mark and Cara had everything ready to go and kept us updated with reminders exactly when we needed it. We never needed to contact them during the stay because everything was seamless.

We had a wonderful time staying here. Beautiful house and neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this place 100%.

Great location, perfect walk to the beach, almost like oceanfront. Great hang out space and kitchen. Lots of extra blankets, fan for the white noise people. Great outdoor shower and basketball hoop. Walk to the beach was quick and not too challenging. Clean pool and hot tub!!! Would definitely come back!!!

We had such a wonderful few days at the Mermaid Lagoon. The house was absolutely beautiful and very clean. We felt right at home. We will definitely come back.

This was a perfect place for a large family to stay. The location is perfect as it's walkable to private beach where there is hardly any crowd. There are various restaurants within a mile of this location and everything was available for a great time.

Lisa was very accommodating during our stay and was able to get the pool open for us to use!! Thanks so much, the house is very large and there is plenty of space to spread out.

Great stay! The place was as described and the proactive communication/ instructions made for an easy check in, stay, and check out. I really enjoy staying at places that match the written description and align with what is represented in the photos. I did not have to "work" to stay here. I did not understand (my own fault - it was in the description) the resort amenities that came along with the rental. Having access to the sports center was a welcome surprise - especially for my son who took advantage of the weight room. The staff at the sports center were very welcoming and helpful. The private pool and hot tub were clean and working properly. The walk to the beach was very easy - 3 houses down, and 3 houses to the left to the beach access walkway - less than five minutes - very easy walk. Loved having a nice coffee maker that grinds whole beans! LOL! I will be keeping this house on the wish list for future visits to Corolla. Thank you for a great week!

This listing is exactly what you see and is perfect for one or two people. I loved the decor, it was very quiet, and the walk to the beach is 5 minutes on the nose (I timed it). I had a few questions and the hosts were very friendly with a fast response time. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse all the sand off. I would stay again and highly recommend.

It’s a lovely space, the outdoor shower and being able to walk to the beach was the best part! Would stay here again.

This was a great stay with plenty of rooms and space for us, kids, grandma & her dachshund! We dined out only half the time or less, so being able to use the kitchen was great (bring your own spices) Publix and Food Lion are right nearby, Beach Access is very close. house has covered carport , double wide driveway, outdoor shower & for post-Beach cleanup. (bonus recommendation: get donuts, pastries, bfast sandwiches from Proof Bakery nearby, at least twice.)

The salt water hot tub was an added touch as I’m unable to use chemical hot tubs. The sauna and steam shower were also a plus. Since I visit the area Often, I hope Rons place will be available as I will like to stay again. Could use some rugs for outside of the showers with the tile floors and rooms could use a good cleaning, but it meets all expectations and I felt comfortable and treated well. We came with 2 truck and trailer and Ron made sure we could fit. It’s hard to find good accommodation. Thankful for the stay in the pool house.

Host was very nice and helpful. She answered all questions! Great place very peaceful and quiet while close to everything.

Lovely home, I can’t complain. A perfect place close to everything, restaurants,grocery stores and the beach is about 5 - 8 minutes walk. You could literally see the public access beach from the parking spot in front of her house. Her house would be the first house i would look up if ever I will visit Outer Banks again.

Fantastic location and extremely clean! The layout is perfect for an Air Bnb. Quiet and private but not too far from everything. Debra was very responsive and proactive as a host. Would do again!

I have so many good things to say about Craig’s guesthouse. First of all, the views are amazing! I didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Such a unique little bungalow! I needed a getaway for just me, myself, and I and I felt very comfortable staying by myself in the guesthouse. Don’t hesitate on this one! Nice quiet location but close enough to the outer banks for food or activities. Definitely recommend and Craig was an amazing host. He gave specific directions and was there when I needed to call on him once during my stay.

The condo is in a great spot with some nice amenities. The tennis courts were empty, so it was easy to play if you wanted, and while I didn’t swim since it wasn’t the season, the pool looked like it would be nice in warmer weather. The location is perfect—close to Bay Drive with the wide sound-side walking path and an easy walk to the monument. There are three flights of stairs to get to the unit (this was mentioned in the listing, so I knew ahead of time). I didn’t mind at all, and the upside is no one above you and amazing views from the porch. The condo is simple but had everything I needed, and I was very comfortable. It’s also absolutely spotless—they clearly put a lot of effort into keeping it clean, which was so reassuring. Easily the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Thanks so much for hosting!

Grouper Therapy is conveniently located - walkable to beach, sound, restaurants/stores in Duck, and neighborhood pool. The house had a floor plan with 3 King bedrooms + 1 more that worked perfectly for our family. The kitchen was well appointed - provides everything you need if you want to cook in. We appreciated all the extras provided - high chair, beach chairs, carts, tv in every bedroom. Our family really enjoyed our week in Duck.

Spacious home with high end furniture, window treatments and other amenities. Incredibly outfitted kitchen with multiple small appliances and cookware. Bedrooms were huge and beautifully decorated. Four full bathrooms and one half bath made it convenient for all of us. Pool was a huge hit with our family. Convenient mini kitchen on ground floor was a great addition! Neighborhood was so beautiful, private, and nice to walk.

Even with all the rain during our beach week, we had a great time at this dog-friendly cottage. The screened-in porches made catching up with family outside bug free. Nice pool, corn hole and hammock were nice to have as well. Short walk down quiet unpaved street to beautiful beach. So many restaurants & activities nearby!

Location was great! Duck is super cute. Stayed with my kids, my brother and kids kids and my sister. It was plenty of space for all of us and we loved the outer banks!

I can’t possibly put into words the experience we had. From the time I booked till checkout. Communication was quick. Answered each every one of my questions. And trust me I asked a lot. Was checking in to make sure we were good. Check in was easy breezy. House is nice and spacious. We were a family of 12 and made out great. The kids loved having the whole bottom level. They weee close to the hot tub. Kitchen had a nicely stocked little pantry. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner with ease. We were able to find all pots, pans and even storage containers we needed already supplied. The gas fireplace was my favorite. Really warms up the top floor nicely. The views from the deck of the sunrises were amazing. I just can’t say enough. Other than we will definitely be going back.

What a beautiful and serene space for a women’s retreat! It is very obvious that the home is very well loved as well as very special. We all discussed coming back again because we enjoyed the space, the comfort and the scenery very much. We thoroughly enjoyed the great blue heron right outside the window each day as well as breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to get back to the grind after such a beautiful sanctuary weekend away.
