Villa Marco. Sea Front. Private Pool

MonicaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This was an amazing place and phenomenal hosts! Connie and Andy were flexible, accommodating, had great communication, and were super helpful! We were greeted by Andy who was waiting to show us to the place so we knew exactly where it was. He greeted us with some goodies which were delicious and a sweet gesture. He showed us around the place and checked in with us to make sure we were good throughout our stay. Beautiful view of the ocean. Clean pool and place. Had everything we could ask for and more! Can walk to the local market, cafes, and a great restaurants. Strongly recommend staying here!!!

Villa Anna, Lourdas Beachside, Kefalonia Island

TashaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely place, very clean and spacious. Great location- a few minutes to a beautiful beach. We stayed at the end of the Summer season so it was lovely and quiet and fortunately a few places were still open, there was a shop, restaurant and cafe all in walking distance. Great swimming pool too. Would definately recommend and would love to stay again.

Lalenia cottage: a place to dream

KateRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Beautiful old stone house that has been in Eleni’s family for generations. Really well maintained with everything we needed. Beautiful view over the water to Ithaca. We made short drives and walks to local beaches, local village to eat (great supermarket there) and trip to Assos and Ficardo. Loved it.

Villa Agrili

PaulRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The villa is in a stunning location, with gorgeous views over the sea. The sunset views from the patio are especially amazing. The layout of the villa suited us perfectly, we just used downstairs and didn’t need to use the top floor. There are several tavernas and supermarkets within walking distance, and it’s only a few minutes by car into Fiskardo. The WiFi is a bit poor in places, but that didn’t really bother us as it was nice to relax without it. We definitely recommend this villa and would love to return sometime in the future.

Villa Bambola - Great sea view, close to 3 beaches

AthosRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Villa Bambola is everything you would hope for in a holiday destination, beautiful accommodation, well appointed, fantastic outdoor facilities, including large terrace, infinity pool, loungers, barbeque and outdoor dining, all with wonderful views and sunsets. Neil provided ice cold bottled water, wine, fruit and charcoal for the BBQ on arrival. There are numerous restaurants and mini markets near by. We loved Ionian View and Chefolonia. Our favourite beach was Agios Thomas which is a 7 minute drive with parking at the beach, along with a lovely beach side taverna. The turtles of Agostoli harbour were an added delight. Fiskardo, while a 90 minute drive is worth the visit. We will definitely be back, Thanks Neil and Alexandra for a lovely stay !

Your guide to Fiskardo

All About Fiskardo

At the far northern tip of Kefalonia, the largest of Greece’s Ionian Islands,

you’ll find the port town of Fiskardo. Once a tiny seaside village, this colourful harbour now teems with activity: yachts and red-hulled fishing boats bob along the quay, brightening views from seafood restaurants serving local, fresh-caught swordfish and Spanish mackerel. Beyond the shore, the sun warms the waters of the sparkling Ionian Sea, inviting boaters and swimmers to navigate its turquoise depths.

As one of the areas least affected by the 1953 Ionian earthquake, Fiskardo is especially revered for its historic Venetian-style architecture, marked by painted pastel facades, breezy balconies, and iconic red tile roofs. You can even find historic Fiskardo villas and mansions tucked away in Kefalonia’s cypress-covered hills, but make no mistake: This is not a village suspended in time. Fiskardo’s upscale boutiques, chic cafes, and late-night dining spots are as modern as anything you’ll find on the mainland.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Fiskardo

Kefalonia’s mild Mediterranean climate makes Fiskardo an inviting destination year-round, but it’s hard to beat summer in the Ionian Islands. From June to October, when the sea is at its warmest, any excuse to be on the water is a good one. It’s an excellent time to charter a boat and explore the island by sea or go swimming at one of the sunny beaches. Snorkelling, deep-sea diving, and fishing are popular summer excursions as well, though it’s just as nice to enjoy a drink beneath an umbrella at a quayside cafe. Winter in Fiskardo is pleasant, with temperatures rarely getting too cold, even at night, but some shops and restaurants may close for the off-season. Be sure to check seasonal schedules when planning a trip to Fiskardo in winter or autumn.

Top things to do in Fiskardo

Foki Beach

Five minutes south of Fiskardo, Foki Beach’s pebbled shores give way to the clear blue waters of the Ionian Sea. This sheltered cove is an ideal place for a summer swim or visit by boat, and you may even spot one of the monk seals from which the beach takes its name. On sunny days, patches of shade from nearby olive trees offer respite from the heat.

Erissos Paths

A trio of walking paths wend through Kefalonia’s verdant cypress forest and onto three destinations: an old Venetian lighthouse, the beautiful bay of Foki, and the stone remains of an abandoned Kefalonian village. The Erissos paths range from 850 metres to 10 kilometres, with varying degrees of difficulty. Hiking boots are recommended on the two longer trails.

Quayside dining

Fiskardo’s fishing industry feeds a thriving quayside restaurant scene, where chalkboard menus are updated daily with the island’s latest catches. Visitors will find the menus ranging from Mediterranean to traditional Greek, with vegetarian options also on the table. Views of the quay and the sea beyond elevate meals here even further, and on summer nights, there’s nothing like a post-dinner drink or dessert to close out the day.
