Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Funchal

We were there as two friends and we enjoyed the accommodation and location very much. Very convenient in contrast to others is free parking on the premises. Everything was clean and the manager Edgar was always available for questions. Especially nice is that with clear skies, the beautiful sunset can be admired from both balconies.

I think this is one of the best scenic app on the island. I have not seen such spectacular sunsets anywhere. The pool is perfect for swimming after tours. There is also a gym, overlooking the ocean that my husband used. The only thing to know is that it's a good idea to bring earplugs because a garbage truck arrives across from the bedroom quite early in the morning. But that shouldn't discourage you from booking. Graca is also a flexible host and allowed us to stay 4 hours longer because we had a late evening flight. Thank you!

Monika’s apartment was a gem! The ocean and city view is spectacular. It was special to watch the sunrise and the city lights from the comfort of the apartment. It was very clean, bright, spacious and nicely furnished. It looks like the pictures. There are bakeries, corner store and fruit store in walkable distance. A large grocery store is only a few minutes drive. It was a good walk down the hill to the port and historic district and an easy bus ride back. It has a dedicated underground parking spot which required some maneuvering to get into with our small car. Monika was very helpful and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was quite roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare home cooked meals quite easily. Basic introduction/ orientation was good but we had to find the gym ourselves and finally another resident explained the code to unlock it. We were a bit disappointed that the “hot tub” we were expecting was not heated and quite cold, so we didn’t use that or the pool as we had hoped. We did enjoy the beach nearby although not an easy walk for one of our members. Overall to enjoy the neighbourhood and beach you should be reasonably fit or have a vehicle ( or both). Funchal is about a 1 hour walk away or a 30 minute bus ride and there is a path mostly along the shore. Again, we were all quite comfortable in the roomy apartment and enjoyed sea and mountain views. Jordão gave us our privacy but was available if we needed. The island itself with its glorious mountain peaks is quite stunning.

We stayed at Helen's apartment in Camara de Lobos for 9 nights. It was perfect for our needs. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated, bed comfortable, quality linens. The location is excellent for all one would need, in a secure building. We contacted Helen with a few minor questions, she helpfully responded immediately. We highly recommend Helen's apartment.

Diana’s place was beautiful and pristine. Lots of room for 3 people and an amazing terrasse on the rooftop. Close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend if you go to Camara de Lobos ❤️

Perfect apartment for our family of three: spacious, modern, stunning sea views and a great location with easy access to Funchal and plenty of amenities within easy walking distance. Shaker was an excellent host who was quick to respond and went above and beyond by arranging to have my handbag driven to the airport when realised I had left it in the apartment. We had a wonderful stay at Madeira Palace and would definitely stay here again.

Nice appartment in funchal with swimming pool and parking. We enjoyed staying at this appartment for a few days and kids loved the pool and the available board games. The beds were confortable and the appartment was well equipped.

Great place if you're staying during offseason like we were. Not many people by the pool and generally quiet. The apartment has amazing views and pretty much anything you might need for your stay. I typically don't praise hosts, but I have to say Ricardo went above and beyond to answer our questions and help us have a great stay in Madeira.

Accommodation close to Funchal, very good amenities offered by the hotel to which we have access. Cleanliness of the apartment with everything you need for a very nice stay. The apartment was great. A lovely designed living-room and a big balcony with an awesome ocean-few. The village is a good spot to calm down after some island adventures, with a lot of offers like spa and something like that. Can fully recommend the apartment for a stay at Madeira. Definitely will come back soon.

I stayed for 3 nights with my friend for the second leg of our 6 days trip. The town centre location is super convenient. The apartment felt spacious for two of us. It was super clean and well equipped. WiFi worked well without any complications. Shower had good water pressure. We both had peaceful nights, I wasn't aware of any outside noises. There is a plaza with a big food supermarket just 2 minutes away which is open till 10pm most of the time. Adriana, the host, was very helpful, she let us check in much earlier and check out much later than advertised. We didn't meet her in person, but it was clear through the messages that she's a very friendly and helpful host. I would be more than happy to stay there again.

Had an amazing stay! The place was spotless with the most beautiful view. The host was super responsive and made everything easy. Loved how close it was to a bakery and convenience store, made the stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

The owner is very nice lady and communication with her was easy and clear. She offers all stuff you need for comfortable accommodation. The hostess is a nice woman, easily found a common language. Upon arrival, she was waiting for us in the apartment, she showed us everything, told us everything, exchanged Whats app in case of need. So there was no problem with the communication. Only positive emotions.

If you like the photos, you’ll love this place. Peaceful and easily accessible to the quaint village, Ribeira Brava. Clean, comfortable home.

Katharina was an excellent host. While the house was close to downtown and had all the amenities we needed, what we like even more was how incredibly responsive she was to our messages and how accommodating and understanding she is. When we had to do a late checkout she accommodated us which was very helpful for us. I would strongly recommend any property hosted by Katharina.

The pool, garden and view is worth it alone in my opinion. The location was exactly what we were looking for as its 15 minute drive into Funchal and 25 minute drive to the airport. The Villa itself is exactly as advertised in the photos and in some cases I don't feel you can appreciate it fully via the photo's. The amenities in the kitchen were brilliant and suitable for large groups.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. It really had everything you need. The place was super clean and exactly as described in the photos and described. Gomez was very friendly and showed us the place in person, so we could easily find everything right away. The only thing we would have to complain about is that communication via message with the host is sometimes a bit difficult, as the answers sometimes do not fit our questions or were not helpful. We would definitely book again and 100% recommend.

Staying at this house was great for the whole family. From all living rooms and bedrooms, as well as from the gym and study, you have a breathtaking view of the sea and the countryside. The house is very tastefully decorated and in top condition. The technical equipment is of high quality throughout. Upon our arrival, we found a beautiful fruit plate and a generous initial equipment with red wine, spices, tea, coffee, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and so on. I highly recommend this place,

we really enjoyed our stay at Julio's place, we were as family of 6 adults. the location was stunning with views of the mountains and the sea. it is a little out of town so we used the Bolt taxi app which gave each of us 3 x 50% off taxi rides to help keep travel costs down, this was recommended by julio. we also hired rental cars for longer trips around the island. Julio as a host could not have done better and responded quickly and positively to any query we had. great service and thank you. I would recommend a stay in Julio's, our son loved the pool.

The house is set in a stunning location with beautiful surroundings and scenery. The views from both the porch and the main bedroom were breathtaking, and the ocean view from the swimming pool was especially enjoyable. Villa Cary was breathtaking! The views were incredible, and the house was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything needed. The outdoor area was perfect for relaxing and the highlight was the pool. The location was perfect, with close access to all of Madeira. Vera was welcoming and attentive, making our stay even better. Highly recommended!
