What a great find this property was! From the initial booking until the time we left Scarlett was responsive to all queries. The property was exactly as described and a lovely place to relax. The hot tub was an added bonus which we enjoyed in the evening sun. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely cozy cottage in the beautiful village of Addingham. The cottage was nice and clean with welcoming goodies on arrival. Lorraine provided is us with useful information of places to visit around the location and how to access the parking space before we arrived. The hot tub is so relaxing after a nice walk. Our stay was fantastic. Daniel was very helpful with recommendations of local things to do, which was very helpful with a toddler and to catch-up with the in-laws. Beautiful property that was comfortable. All the little details have been thought of from setting up a bed for our toddler to the care package of tasty local food. Daniel was helpful and answered questions about where to go to entertain the family in all weather's. Thank you. We look forward to staying again!

We loved our stay at Wendy's cottage. It was beautifully clean with a lovely comfortable bed and an amazing shower! Everything you could need for a few days away. The little extra touches were really lovely too. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!

Me and my husband visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter and two tiny chihuahuas. Our dogs can be a bit happy which was absolutely my motivation for picking this location, secluded quiet and most importantly the courtyard area with the hot tub was entirely secure. Meaning we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about any unexpected puppy escapes. The place itself was beautiful inside , the only bathroom is in the main bedroom but in a family setting this is absolutely no issue. It was the perfect setting for cooking, playing board games and watching movies. We were able to walk the dogs, spend time as a family and all had a comfortable uninterrupted nights sleep. I can see us returning for sure!

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

We had a lovely couple of days at Brandybuck cottage. Superb location in the heart of Kirkby Stephen with the high street a minute walk away and some gorgeous walks around the local area straight from the cottage. The cottage itself is a real home from home with a well equipped kitchen,comfy beds and a decent shower. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 older children(who appreciated the TV in each bedroom). Communication from the host was excellent with directions and check in details clearly explained so arrival and check in was a smooth process. Parking is on a road to the rear of the property which again was clearly explained and Marks directions took us to the exact place to park with further clear directions from there to access the rear of the cottage. Tea,coffee,sugar,milk and a packet of biscuits was provided upon arrival which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We booked this cottage as a last minute break and it is a real gem of a find.

A spotlessly clean cottage with a secure private garden and just around the corner from a couple of pubs and an Indian restaurant but still a very private location in this lovely village. Nothing to complain about and we felt very good value for money. We stayed for four nights and are very happy to recommend the cottage.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Simply wonderful : we can not think of a single thing that was not 100%, everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely not a soulless corporate run Airbnb! The interior design was outstanding and individual without being overpowering, adding to the sense of calm that the location gives. Super clean throughout. Oh and the bedding, it was out of this world. Everything we needed was provided, the log burner a joy in the chillier evenings. Great walks and the bus stop is directly opposite (every 3 hours, check the timetable, the drivers don’t linger) into York.

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

Simon communicated well with us and made sure we settled in. Nice location for our stay and perfect for the two of us and child who loved seeing the chickens on the farm.

Joan was an excellent host, and we had a delightful stay! The cottage is well-placed for exploring the Lake District. We loved coming back to a cozy cottage with a nice fire, which Joan kindly lit for us. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We love staying at April’s cottage, its truly a home from home. Location is perfect for a visit to the lakes with everything on your doorstep from great walks to cafes, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. To top it off you have a fantastic sunny terrace to relax in after a day of exploring! Thanks again

We have just got home from a lovely couple of days at Deb & Tim’s cosy hideaway. What a lovely place - the space so well thought out and everything was provided that we needed for a gorgeous weekend in a great part of the world. This was a beautiful spot, nice & private & accessible to the lake for a beautiful sunset pic opportunity. Very clean & tidy on arrival & we tried our best to leave it as we found it.

Right from the start Sheena and her family were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was lovely and in a fabulous location. Speaking to other guests leaving rhe cottage next door, I said I would love to return here. They told me that this was their 15th time staying, and I can totally understand. I can't wait to come back to Chapel Row Cottages.
